View 1 RepliesI got an error on my Phone that states " A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct the errors please use a disk error-checking utility on a computer. "
View 5 Replies View RelatedI upgraded google talk but after rebooting my BB bold 9780 doesn't detect media card and show me the message "A Media card has been inserted that contains errors. Do you wish to repair the Media card now? " and when I click on yes then it shows me the message "Media Card repair failed". I checked my media card in another device is working. I also tried one another media card in my BB bold 9780 which didn't work too.
View 1 Replies View Related"A Media Card has been inserted that contains errors. To correct the errors, please use a disk-checking utility on a computer"I got this message after I transferred .rar theme files to my phone. I promptly deleted the files and did a hard reset, but I still get the error (and i'm not 100% computer savvy, so I'm not sure what utility to use!). How do I fix this?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have lost my pictures and I am receiving an error message that the media card has errors. It is saving pictires to the, phone and not the media card. I've taken it out, put it back in and took battery out to start the phone again. Still getting the same error message.

View 9 Replies View RelatedOne of my users is seeing this error after receiving a replacement phone (9630). This happens when he tries to access the card. If he tries to format the card a similar message is generated.
"media card cannot be accessed due to fatal errors"
The media card works fine on other Blackberry's and his computer. He has tried three other media cards in the phone and all generate the same message. The phone worked fine and did not generate this error prior to being wiped and configured for this user. The media card was fine.
I googled the error and noticed numerous instances where this is a problem with the phone. I don't understand why wiping the phone would cause the media card function to stop working.
We have wiped the phone twice, there are no pictures or data to preserve, we just want it to work.
Tried 2 cards..both work on pc fine. Format and Repair will not work from phone..Brand new phone ...8530

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have this Bold 9900 for about half a year, first few month the Media card was that I transferred from my old BB was working fine, then without physical damage of the phone the "Media Card Storage can not be accessed due to fatal errors" msg started occurring during the charge and on/off. I bought a new 32GB SD card, the problem still exists, I check both cards on other devices, they both work fine.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMedia card Cannot be Accessed Due to Fatal Errors. I use BB8520 I supposed to DL music but suddenly it was gone on my computer and the card reader is not working anymore. I insert it back to my BB it says that media card "It can't be Accessed due to Fatal Errors."

View 3 Replies View RelatedAlright, a friend of mine gave me a Blackberry Bold 9700 after unlocking it, which is awesome. What's not so awesome is that when I first turned it on, it informed me that the media card could not be accessed due to a fatal error. So I checked the card, made sure it was properly inserted, then went to the options menu and tried to format and repair the card, both of which failed. So I tried pulling the battery and that didn't work, either. Unfortunately, I don't have a card reader to actually check this out on my PC.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought a BlackBerry 9780 which came with a 16gig SD Media card, however after formatting the media card both on and off the phone i'm still getting the Message which reads "Media Card Storage can not be accessed due to fatal errors." In addition to this problem each time i inserted the Media Card the phone restarts itself?
View 1 Replies View RelatedOn other BB's I've moved pictures from the device to the media card using the "move" function - I can't find this on the Torch. Am I overlooking something or will I have to use Desktop Manager?
View 12 Replies View RelatedOk, media card was working fine, had alot of work pictures stored on it and was becoming a hassle to hunt through all of them to find what I wanted. So, I inserted media card in computer and transfered what I wanted to a folder on the computer. Then I formatted the card using the computer. When I put the card back into the phone, the phone knows its there, but I must have wiped the card completely as none of the folders for video, pics, etc. are on it anymore. If I take a picture and go to find it, the media card does not even show up, just device memory.
Does anybody have a remedy for this? I already tried formatting the card in the phone but that didn't work. The phone is telling me in the memory options that 1.8GB is free, so I know it works, it just lost the folders or whatever........
I am experiencing a couple of problems with my device since the last prompted OS upgrade:
1. When I plug the device into a USB port on my PC, it successfully begins charging but I do not receive the familiar "USB Drive / Sync Media / Charge Only" selection prompt. Furthermore, the device isn't being recognized as a peripheral by my PC and, as such, I cannot access its data.
Note: I have enabled "Media Card Support" in Options -> Device -> Storage
2. When I send someone a voice note using BBM's "Send -> Voice Note" option, it no longer appears to save the voice note in the voice note collection in the Media section as it used to do.
I assume these two problems stem from the same issue, but I can't imagine what it may be, and looking around the forums / Google has produced nothing useful.
I have had my BB Torch 9800 since May 2011, and I had a media card (SD 2GB) in there since Day 1. Early November came around and my phone's media folder was completely empty and I was unable to view any of my pictures, music, etc from my external media card, but the internal built in media card still works just fine. I went into my local AT&T store just for kicks and giggles to see if they could do something (they couldn't). I consider myself an advanced Blackberry user, for I have had a Blackberry for a number of years. The torch is my 7th Blackberry and this is the first time I have had a problem with any of my phones. Not to diss the Torch or Blackberry, but this isn't their finest work. Back to the point, how can I get my phone to recognize my media device?

6.0 Bundle 2647 v6.0.0.600, Platform 6.6.0.223
Only device memory and built-in-media storage are detected. I do not know why it doesn't read my media card even though it is inserted properly. I tried my media card in my pc and it works perfectly fine. I already did the security wipe method, reboot method, upgraded my OS(OS Level Method), cleaning the media card, formatting my media card and almost everything I read, I've done it but still it won't be read. I already go asked someone what could be the problem and he said my media card(where you put it) seems to be okay... He too can't identify what is wrong with it. I tried sandisk media card once but still same result assuming that BB is too picky with media card but still it cannot be read/recognized...I am too sad because i cannot enjoy my torch because i don't want to use my built-in memory storage for my entertainment....
View 1 Replies View RelatedI downloaded some music the other day from a friends PC & I wasnt aware that I had downloaded a virus as well. Now it has deleted all my pictures/music & videos that where stored on the memory card. Is there anyway to restore/retrieve all the info that has been deleted? I cannot also save pictures to the card so I save it directly to my device instead.
