I bought a used 9800 and wanted it unlocked for my network but at the shop they said ten attempts had been made to unlock at some point so the phone is locked to another network so i cant use it.Is there a fix for this.
View 1 RepliesI have missed the 24th preorder date and I was wondering if by any chance even 1 in million manage to get on hold of a payg iphone 4 (uk) from a carrier like orange, 3 etc. Is there a difference having an officially unlocked iphone from apple vs an ultrasn0w etc. unlock device?? (other than any ethical/moral issues ). Any specific stuff that I will not be able to perform with such an unlock?, any downsides like slowdowns (if it’s a 24/7 background running service etc) ?
I know that O2 official unlock iphones for $15, but I haven’t found any certain info on the other carriers. (note: the phone will not be used to UK at all, so some proposed actions from carriers like: “use the phone for 3 months with the carrier and then ask for an unlock” will not work in my case.)
My daughter has bought today a new Torch 9810. She has entered a new device password. After a few hours she tried to enter her password, but she forgot her password.
After a read of some internet groups, the solution is simple, just type 10 times your password and the BB will restart. I know that all data will be removed, but that is no issue.
Unfortunately the BB will not restart after I retype for then times the wrong password After the reset it starting with a White screen, with a sort of document icon. Within this document icon, appear a lock and cross sign, beneath this icon there is a counter with is repeatedly showing from 0 till 100% and then start over again.
I've tried to disconnect the battery for at least 1 minute, Put in a different sim card, let it run for almost one hour, but nothing seems to work.
I'm in Leicester(Lesta) UK. I have a weird problem with a Z3. I can't enter my pin to unlock phone, I can't enter digits on emergency number screen but I can get the camera to come up and take a photo. tried resetting and nothing. So the screen slides up to reveal keypad but I can't enter digits. Can't find anything on forums..

I just saw the torch at at&t store and I have to get it. The question is I live outside US and I need to get it unlocked.Now, I saw that at at&t store, they are selling the torch for 499 dollars without contract. Upon Changing the SIM Card, I could not press the # key which was to be used as my PASSWARD to open the Device ( Blackberry Curve 8900 Titanium smartphone)I understood although the # key not appearing on the display but could be actually getting registered and I tried three attempts with my PASSWARD but each time got incorrect Passward message.Subsiquently I removed the SIM card and again tried to Unlock the device. Basically my phone wont let me unlock the device because every time i try to enter my password, instead of stars * how my password is usually entered, it comes up with letters. I have entered blackberry on my device and im onto the 7th attempt but dont want to keep trying as its not working. I have try to hold down the alt button as my password is in numbers not letters but even typing in the numbers is not working. Has any1 had this problem and resolved it without losing there entire memory?

If my phone is locked and I am using a pin number for security, the phone never asks me to input my pin number once I place the phone in the cardock. The phone wakes up, unlocks and goes to the car dock screen. This is a bit scary, if that is all a person has to do to gain access to a locked phone.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFor some reason my Torch will unlock by itself when placed in my case. The case was for a 9700 Bold and I tried at the ATT store with a pouch 'designed' for the Torch with the same results. The lock/unlock key is so sensitive that even in my pants pocket it will unlock.
All of my old BB's would not unlock until I hit the 2 combo keys which was fine. At least the bold would stay locked in the pouch which was fine.

The fingerprint animation isn't playing and doesn't recognise that I am swiping the home button.I have tried entering the backup password and it says I have entered it incorrectly when I am for certain entered it correctly.Changing keyboards doesn't fix this. Restarting the phone and removing the battery and SD card does not fix this.
I have previously registered for the Google Device Manager and have tried locking my phone, but that doesn't seem to work. Do I need to have an Internet connection or GPS on my phone to do that? If so, I can't connect to the internet or activate GPS due to it being locked. Is there any way around this?
I really don't want to factory reset my phone unless it's the only last option I have.And I have contacted Samsung support regarding this and am waiting for a reply. I will update if they have replied to my message.
