Sep 28, 2011I managed, finally, to get some input support for Chinese, and font support for Chinese & Japanese, however I would still need support for Japanese input.

Aug 1, 2011How to Write and read japanese on 9800 Torch. no one should say to download east asian language pack.It doesn't work !There is multilanguage application on my phone but it does not load any other language.I can't delete the downloaded languagaes or any of the loaded application.How can I delete everything on my 9800 and re load. I did wipe out everything put still not all the applications.

Feb 26, 2012I have a Xperia pro (MK16a) So when you're entering text, if you hold down on the screen, you have the option to choose Japanese input and Chinese input. And when you choose Japanese input, you can also open up the setting menu, and inside the menu there are options for physical keyboard, and vitural keyboard. Although Chinese input does not have those settings, but surprisingly I CAN use Chinese input with my physical slide out keybaord. BUT, it is NOT the case with Japanese input. Please give me some guidence on how this works, is it a BUG or something? Because clearly it SUPPOSE to have the option to use my slideout keyboard for Japanese input.

May 1, 2010I upgraded from my Bold 9000 to the Bold 9700 and now Japanese Input is not working anymore. I installed several eastAsia packages from different providers and its possible to read Japanese but when I am trying to choose Japanese as input language on my 9700 its switching back to the language before. korean and thai are working without any problem.
It seems to be that this problem only occures on Blackberry's with a QWERTZ keyboard. We tested it from several carrier (O2 Germany, O2 Szech and T-Mobile Germany [all have QWERTZ keyboard]).
Currently installed OS: v5.0.0.593 (Bundle 1022, Platform 5.1.0.147)

A few things that i discovered and its bad! Comparing to E71, E72 is very bad. By the way, this is the second E72 i am using. I bought one before, same issue, now the secound one, Same ISSUE again!
Here are the problems: I need to type in Chinese (pinyin) but whenever the language is switched to Chinese input, the calculator does not allow me to input decimal (how bad this is!).
Also in Chinese mode, once back to English input, the SPACE bar input is NOT WORKING. The only way is to restart the damm phone.
BB Torch 9800 :: Use Switch Device Wizard To Move From 9700 To 9800?
Aug 11, 2010I have already installed the new Desktop Manager 6.0 that I downloaded from the RIM site.
I am thinking the safest way to not have a problem is the just restore my 9800 data from a back up rather than do the Switch Device thing. Anyone worried it might bring erroneous crap into the new 6.0 OS.
Maybe it would be better to redo my settings after the data install to make sure all is clean and working correctly. Some of the 5.0 setting would not be applicable to the new 6.0 software.

My school e-mail is weird because when I go inside everything looks exactly like gmail but it isn't exactly gmail beacuse you can't sign on from www.gmail.com. Gotta go through the school website. Sometimes you can see them in the preview area but when you click on them you get a weird icon that looks like a wheel. Sometimes even in the preview area you cannot see the pic at all.Still on the official OS that came with the phone. Does anyone know what the problem is? I recently swapped out to a larger memory card but I had the problem on both cards.

In attempting to do so, I received a message saying "More request cannot be completed. Service book information not found." I also received this message when trying to email a photo to my blackberry. This never use to happen in past blackberries I have owned.
How do I fix this "service book information not found" issue ?

Aug 25, 2010I have bought a Torch, but cannot get it to set up in the Organizer configuration to sync with my Calendar in MS Office XP- Outlook. My computer runs Windows XP. The contacts and memo will configure (although) they are posting to an archive folder and when I try to change that I get Error 0x80043bea), but the Calendar and Tasks will go through the set-up process, but when you finish it, the checkmark on those 2 Outlook folder disappears before you can even select the advance settings.I have re-set the configuration on the Desktop software a couple of times, to no avail, and uninstalled the Desktop 6.0 software and reinstalled it. None of these measures have changed the problem.Any suggestions?

The phone wil enter bedside mode and i get a message stating that the phone will not charge. I am able to charge the phone without the dock using the exact same cable. The retailer isnt willing to assist in this matter as they say it is something I need to take up with the manufacture.whats wrong or how to make the phone charge?
