My Blackberry 9850 wont turn on, it is stuck at a point wile booting up and it wont pass that spot. Even when i remove the battery it stuck at the exact same point and it wont go any further i dont know what else to do i have done everything that i can do to get it to start up..
View 3 RepliesI had notice that it was time for my Torch 9850 to update its software, so I clicked Software Update and began. Last time, my phone went blank and multiple issues occurred. But, it started backing up data around 7 am. But, since then the percentage has stayed at 8%! That was over 6 hrs ago! And its not like its frozen cause if I put the charger in the battery amount and the little lightning bolt comes up as usual. Is the backing up suppose to take this long or is there something really wrong with my phone?

I have a 32 GB HTC One M9 from Verizon on stock Lollipop Android, and it has been working perfectly until this morning. I woke up to my M9 stuck in a bootloop. It would boot to the HTC logo, stay there for about 10 sec, then go black and constantly restart again (even as I type this). I can access the bootloader, but it seems none of the options work for me! I can't boot to recovery mode or even power off my phone. It just constantly boots again by itself.
View 3 Replies View RelatedLike others, I tried the software update, and then my phone constantly got stuck at the four little circles at start up. I followed some instructions I found on AndroidPit:
1. From a powered off state, press the Power button to start your Nexus 5. When you see the Google logo press and hold the Volume Down key and release when the device vibrates.
2. Use the volume keys to highlight Recovery Menu and press the Power button to select. This will bring you to a screen with an Android on its back.
3. Hold the Volume Up key for 5 secs then release and a new menu will appear.
4. First off, you can use the volume keys to select Wipe Cache Partition. This will cause your phone to restart. once this is done, re-do the previous steps to get back to the same screen (the one that Wipe Cache Partition was on).
5. Highlight Wipe Data/Factory Reset and select using the Power key. Scroll down to Yes, Delete All Data and press the Power button again to select.
6. Your Nexus 5 will now wipe your data and reformat.
7. On the next screen hit the Power button to select Reboot System Now.
It has been 40 minutes now and it's stuck on 'Formatting /data'. Is this normal?
I've only had this phone for a couple of months and it was functioning perfectly until now I haven't rooted it or anything.
I am stuck on boot screen.. I went into download mode but I keep getting stuck on Setup Connection when I try to flash the stock rom.

After I do that, the messages pour in. Sadly, I have to do this at least once a day, sometimes twice, which is ridiculous since my Tour worked perfectly on the same US Cellular network only a few months ago."Registration message queued. I have tried the solution above, i get a text mesg/ SMS message saying your device has been registered with the network.....but when i go back to email set up , i get the same message again to register via the routing table.
My handset was originally a verizon wireless handset, i'm now using it on O2 (UK) , I've had O2 trying to sort this issue out for more than a week now to no avail.They have check my IMEI/ PIN which turned out to be all ok.
Service books are all in order, routing table has about 60 entries(O2 uk seem to think thats normal).
A couple of days ago my blackberry torch 9850 shut off randomly during the day and since then has been so slow that it takes(I timed it) 45 seconds to open an e-mail message. I've tried taking the battery out, I've reset it a few times and I'm working on reinstalling the operating system.
I've read a bunch of forums and most places say that I have to do an operating system reinstall every few months because THIS IS A FEATURE OF THIS PHONE? Is there a permanent fix for this or do I have to switch back to my android?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI am not able to access BIS on my 9850 brought from ebay. Am trying to use it in Lagos, Nigeria (where I work) with Glo Telecom. When I restart the phone it shows US Cellular. On the back cover I can see Verizon Logo. My supplier says that it is fully unlocked, and I am able to make phone calls, check balance etc on the new network. The phone shows the network name (Glo ng), etc.The SIM card is the same I was using with my earlier BB (Storm) and has a BIS plan activated and was working before. But the 9850 says I dont have a data plan. I tried using SIM cards from other operators as well, it shows 3G at times and when set to 2G network, it shows "edge" in small letters.
I tried manual registration as well, but did not get any response. The Host Routing Table shows "No entries".Also cannot see any option for Internet email set-up. Only Enerprise Email activation comes up.I am able to use facebook and App World through Wi-Fi. Can Internet email service (Gmail) also be configured through Wi-Fi?I have spoken to US Cellular Customer Service. And he said that there is no issue. If I am not using their network, then the PIN might have been released by US Cellular.
When updated software I lost all my purchased apps frm bbm app world niw app world has no history of any of my downloards or apps how to get this straighten out?

The phone stays on and works fine while the charger is plugged in but as soon as the charger is removed, it shuts off again.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI plugged my Torch 9850 into wall charger last night to charge. I woke up and the LED was slowly blinking red on and off. I pulled battery and that didn't reboot device. I plugged device into computer, and blackberry manager and computer recognize device when led is on but when led goes off it disconnects. It continues to go through this cycle of connecting and disconnect if connected to computer. Additionally, if I remove the battery the same process happens when connected to computer with no battery message on screen. Finally, with battery in but disconnected from power and computer the led still continues to blink but wont let me power on.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI bought a Torch one week ago. Unfortunately, I will return it due to a weak signal. I had a Tour before and although I live in a rural area, my Tour rarely dropped a call and the internet worked well even with only 1 or 2 bars. When I brought home my new Torch I was pleased at frequently SEEING 2 or 3 bars AND usually seeing 3G. Then, when I started using the phone, what a far cry the reality was from bars. Even my carrier advised me to get the Bold because a customer had already called reporting a weak signal with her nrw Torch and would be returning it. I have since searched on the internet and found others with the same issue.The only conclusion I can come to is the coverage signal strength reported is incorrect. Related to a weak signal is having less than 5 hours battery with no use, just having the phone on. I have turned off the GPS tp stop the battery drain but see no improvement.I would also comment on a less than clear sound quality as well.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI have a problem with the Auto Keyboard when I'm on a site that wants you to type in your email. I get an email type keyboard that has a DOT on the space bar for email. I have reported this so many times. What happens is the @ sign is on the first page of the key board as well as the .com, the DOT is on the space bar so it doesn't function as a space bar, but the problem is when you try to enter a DOT off the space bar it will not print it. I have reported this and was told the next update to the OS would fix this. Well the last OS update v7.1.0.580 is the last update and it is still the same. Can't RIM send out a small add on to fix just this? What I have to do is use the .com key and then back space to the DOT and then type in the rest of my email. Example: jcjones@satx.rr.com so I have to type it jcjones@satx.com backspace out the com,leaving the . type in the rr and then push the .com key. What a hassel why can't this be addressed? Oh and the email in this post is not mine, I made it up, so it may belong to someone or not. There is no way to do a screen grab or anything like that to attach a pic because the keyboard is on top of everything on the screen.

On My Verizon Torch 9850 running 7.1.0.163, can't find it, but without an ALT key, not sure how to activate it.I do see it in Application Management though, just can't find a way to enable it.
