When I change the email option for "hide sent messages" to yes it always defaults back to no even after being saved. Can anyone tell me why this is the case and how I can change this? My in-box is full of sent messages!
View 6 RepliesIs there any way to get the keyboard to STOP popping up automatically when one opens an SMS message using the Storm 9530 running v5.0.0.328 (Platform 4.2.0.128)? I do like the threaded messages - very handy - but I'm old and my eyes aren't what they used to be. That tiny little slit with one line of text just doesn't get it for me when trying to read the SMS messages. Anyone find a way to stop that keyboard from coming up automatically?
View 4 Replies View RelatedEver since I downloaded the newest version (1.9.0.20) of Facebook to my BB Storm 9530, I have been unable to delete messages from my Message folder. I can delete the from the Facebook folder but they will reappear & I have to continually delete them. However, I have messages dating back to early November (when I just downloaded the newer FB version last week) on my phone that I can not delete at all & they are beginning to pile up. I have contacted my carrier (Verizon) and I have contacted Facebook but no one seems to know what the problem is.

I know that we can both receive and send international texts because we text a mutual friend in Australia. I checked the participating carriers in Norway. His carrier, Netcom, is on that list. Now I have a Blackberry Storm 9530 and he has a Nokia. I'm not sure of the model.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got a 9300 and I previously had an old 2G curve. We have an Enterprise server I believe at work. Everything transferred perfectly except one thing. When I go in messages and choose options, hide sent messages, YES and hit save........and then go back to look again, it has changed back to NO. Every time!!!! It doesn't do this for Hide Filed Messages.....just the Hide Sent Messages. It's very weird.

I have a BB Bold 9700 V 5 and I just noticed that unread messages are not being hiden when I file them on my Outlook client on my PC. I am almost positive that when I filed a message (read or unread) in the past they were removed from my BB handheld.
Anyone know how to hide ALL filed messages and not just the read ones? BTW The setting in Email Options>General say "Hide Read Filed Messages" now and I am positive it said "Hide Filed Messages" in the past

First, I accidently hid a picture by checking the 'hide' field. Now how do you get it back?! I've had a couple of my friends with the same phone try and figure it out and they havent been able to.Secondly, when I choose a picture to be my wallpaper, it shows in a zoomed in version of the top left corner of the picture. I do recall when I was choosing the picture to set as my wallpaper, that I zoomed in on it before setting it, but used the 'back' key to remove the zoom feature. It appeared ok on the screen but set the wallpaper as the zoomed in picture. Now it doesn't matter which picture I choose, I get on the top left side, zoomed in showing up on my wallpaper. - even though it appears normal before setting it.
Previously I set the inbox setting "Hide email older than" to 3 days only in Account settings ->What to synchronize->Inbox settings->Hide email older than, and I was able to select the options available. Then suddenly today I'm not able to change the setting, it is set default to 2 weeks. I tried changing it back to 3 days, but there is this message saying "unable to edit read-only settings".

When I try to hide all they drop but leave the top 2 rows showing. they all pop up as expected when commanded to so it must be some software glitch?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using the Blackberry Storm, I believe the 9530 (its the first gen). Anyway, just recently my text messages only stay for a couple of days and then they delete themselves or simpley disappear.
There have been numerous cases where I need the information someone sent me in those messages, but I can't seem to find them. Is there something wrong with how the phone is set up? Is this a memory thing? Is there a way to get those messages back, are they stored somewhere?
Bought an unlocked Storm 9530 yesterday and popped in my T-Mobile SIM card. I could text, but not place any calls. When I tried calling, I received a "No circuit/channel available". At the call screen I see a a phone number that isn't mine. After I gave up I turned off the phone for a while and let it charge. Upon booting up I got an error message and my SIM refused to work at all. It says SOS at the top right and even though my mobile network is on, it just doesn't do anything. I have the mode set to GSM/UMTS and 3G/2G. I can't even select a network manually. I get an error that says "Unable to acquire network."

Since the update I am unable to see any of the contacts in Blackberry Desktop Software on my Mac. I have tried a restore of just the 'Address Book - All' and still I can't see anything even though it states that there are 59 records.
Please tell me I haven't lost them all or whether I am doing something wrong.
all of a sudden my icons lost color. not all of them, but most of them. when i tried to hide icons that i do not use, it would not hide them. and i cannot recharge my phone from the auto. i have tried other autos and different chargers, the electric charger works fine too.

My screen has the history of every text message sent between me and the reciepient as if we are in a chat screen. On the curve 8330 all you had to do was go to options-sms-number of previous items and change the setting. Under the help option and in the user manual for the 8530 it says to follow those exact directions but for some reason that option is not available for me when I go to options-sms. I contacted my service provider Verizon and they stated the option isnt available on this model. So why would it be under the help menu on the phone. Can anyone help me I hate to read days and days of text messages between me and another person if I make a mistake and scroll up. All I want to do is see the previous text message in the new text message screen.

But the status of those two msgs has been changed to 'Deferred' and are not getting deleted. I restarted the mobile, but again its there in the Outbox. I tried PC Suite to delete those messages. But those messages are not getting listed in the PC Suite. Kindly Suggest some solution for this problem
