Right now it does not go to bedside mode when you put it in the cradle and even when you manually put it in it locks and does not show clock. Jan 8, 2010So lately, I've been having trouble with my storm running very slow. It does the "loading" graphic, or the spinning clock, or whatever it's called ALL the time. I pop my battery all the time and it doesn't seem to help. And the Storm will do this even when I have barely anything open. For example, at the moment, if I press the menu key, the only programs I have are my browser, BBM, the home icon, message icon and phone icon. That's it. But every time I pick my phone up to do something, I get the loading thing. I tried clearing my browser cache, but that didn't help. I also deleted a bunch of saved y!m message logs and deleted some pics, but still no go. It never used to be this slow, I have Verizon Wireless, and I'm running on V4.7.0.148.

I use an application which some times would not respond and can't be close from the menu as the menue is not pop up when i press the bb key. When this app stucks touch screen won't work fine and when am pressing an icon, phone highlights another icon.
Is there any method to close this stuck app other than removing the battary.

Feb 17, 2011I have Storm 9530. My device internal memory only used 12.5MB from total 1GB available.
However my device keep load slowly on certain point, and during that time when I checked the application memory was lower than 500KB.I have to remove the battery first before the device gain more application memory.

Jan 4, 2010I looked at some of the other similar threads on this subject, but my question really didn't get answered. Okay, I am on a Storm 1 (9530) on Verizon on OS version 5.0.0.328. I currently have Application Memory total of 128.0MB, but only 3.8MB free. My device memory and Media card memory are both about 97% free. The apps I use are: BB App World and FB, and the 3rd party apps are: iBerry Slider v 5.1 (the theme I'm currently using), Documents to Go, MeterBerry, Slacker Radio, StormLock and The Weather Channel. The first theme I downloaded was Appleberry, but I got bored with it quickly and deleted it. There were a couple of other apps I had, but I deleted those, in the hopes that I'd have more memory (one was BerryWeather; can't remember the others). None of my current apps uses that much memory, as far as I can tell - and certainly not anything near the 128.0MB limit. Not sure when, even after cleaning out the cache, using Memory Cleaner and doing a battery pull via MeterBerry, the app memory listed is still so low. Could the theme be draining it all? When I upgraded the OS to 5, should I have shrunk it? I'm not really sure what that means, just saw that expression on the Boards.

Jan 10, 2010How do you clear the call log from the phone application. When I go to the messages folder and open call log, and do a delete prior it clears them there. But when I hit the green key to use the phone and then the middle icon for call log, they are still listed there. I know I highlight one and scroll forever but I have like 6 months or more worth! And where is it set how long to keep call log?

Yes it is very low. I think that's one reason why my bb curve 3g has been slowing. Good morning all. Yesterday BB app world informed me there was a newer version of ScoreMobile available. I checked the release notes and it said it was compatible for the OS running on my Storm 2 (v5.0.0.1015 - Bundle 1656, Platform 4.2.0.442). I installed it, but after restarting I received an error. I decided to do a battery pull and received the same error. I tried uninstalling the entire app and performing another battery pull and received the same error. I also tried booting into safe mode on my BB. On reboot, the first error is "Uncaught exception: Index 5>= 5" After I hit "OK", I receive this error: "Uncaught exception: ApplicationRegistry.getOrWaitFor(0x7c802477365c3985) owner died Thread [Thread-94372864,5]" I hit "OK" and everything seems to go back to normal except I can't make phone calls and the BB is freezing. This device worked fine before this upgrade.

Feb 24, 2010Storm 2 (9550) with Verizon, running v5.0.0.607 (Bundle 1020, Platform 4.2.0.275)When a new application requests application control permissions, I receive the "View" dialog box, which in turn delivers a screen that shows "RIM - Application Modules". I would then typically select the "Menu" button which allows me to "Save", "Set as Defaults", "Apply Defaults" or "Edit Defaults".The problem I am having is that "Save" does nothing. "Apply Defaults" does nothing. "Set as Defaults" is the only selection that works, my app then launches.Shouldn't "Save" and/or "Apply Defaults" do virtually the same thing considering I have all Permissions set to Allow.
