BB Storm :: Application Memory And Reset To Factory Setting?
Sep 26, 2011
So I realized that the application memory gradually decrease. It does not gain the memory back when I delete the apps. I don't understand but my application memory is under 10 mb. Yes it is very low. I think that's one reason why my bb curve 3g has been slowing. If there is a way to gain the application memory, that'd be such a great help.Because I don't know how to gain back the application memory, I was thinking to reset the phone to factory setting? As in like deleting everything on the phone and so it'd be like when I first got my bb curve 3g.
I have got a blackberry of my nephew and I can't change blackberry ID to mine as he has forgotten his ID and password so it won't let me change it so is there anyway I can reset phone ta please this is for a blackberry curve 8520.
while reset my 3G to factory setting it get stuck and couldn't start and couldn't start,i tried to restore it from i tune but its shows me error 1015 and couldn;t restore suggest me what to do. Info: iPhone 3G, iOS 4.1
Do you think if I do a factory reset BEFORE installing the latest update that may help 'clear' out the few 'bugs'? ie, cannot even get the indoor calibration anywhere near close to what it should be also, I think mine has an issue with the screen timeout function and a few other things.
I was wondering (since I have a few things on my MA that are not working correctly)...Do you think if I do a factory reset BEFORE installing the latest update that may help 'clear' out the few 'bugs'? ie..cannot even get the indoor calibration anywhere near close to what it should be...also, I think mine has an issue with the screen timeout function..and a few other things..Now, if i DO a reset before installing...After the reset, when I connect my MA to my computer, will it prompt me to go to the most current update or not?For the last update, I just connected and everything was fine.....I'm not that great with computers and I would NOT want to turn this into a Customer Service issue -- if you know what I mean...
Using 9550 as a MP3 player - not connected to phone service. suddenly not working saying license is expired. Spent hours trying to fix w/rhapsody tech supp. They say I need to reset OS back to factory settings. How?
I am trying to reset my blackberry to what it was when it was first out of the box. I keep finding these same steps. When I go to do this I don't have a general settings option when I get that far. So what do I do?

I have Storm 9530. My device internal memory only used 12.5MB from total 1GB available. However my device keep load slowly on certain point, and during that time when I checked the application memory was lower than 500KB.I have to remove the battery first before the device gain more application memory.
I looked at some of the other similar threads on this subject, but my question really didn't get answered. Okay, I am on a Storm 1 (9530) on Verizon on OS version 18.104.22.1688. I currently have Application Memory total of 128.0MB, but only 3.8MB free. My device memory and Media card memory are both about 97% free. The apps I use are: BB App World and FB, and the 3rd party apps are: iBerry Slider v 5.1 (the theme I'm currently using), Documents to Go, MeterBerry, Slacker Radio, StormLock and The Weather Channel. The first theme I downloaded was Appleberry, but I got bored with it quickly and deleted it. There were a couple of other apps I had, but I deleted those, in the hopes that I'd have more memory (one was BerryWeather; can't remember the others). None of my current apps uses that much memory, as far as I can tell - and certainly not anything near the 128.0MB limit. Not sure when, even after cleaning out the cache, using Memory Cleaner and doing a battery pull via MeterBerry, the app memory listed is still so low. Could the theme be draining it all? When I upgraded the OS to 5, should I have shrunk it? I'm not really sure what that means, just saw that expression on the Boards.
I have a BBS 9530 and it has extremely low application device memory. I have removed everything (3rd party applications) and I still only have 7KB of memory available. I believe everything is being saved to my memory card and not my device memory. What steps can I take to increase the amount of application device memory? It looks like my phone is running 22.214.171.124.328.
After my Storm is on sleep mode for awhile i press the screen to wake it up and a screen comes on with all of my applications listed. it says "The application memory available on your device is low. In the list below, select applications to delete."this has popped up a few times. i use ALL of my apps on a daily basis and my Storm hasn't been acting up so i think i'm good.anyone else having this issue pop up on their Storms? any fixes?
