BB Storm :: 9530 - Bolt Symbol Disappears And Phone Stops Charging
May 5, 2012When I plug my 9530 for charging it shows the 'bolt' symbol but after a while, the bolt symbol disappears and the phone stops charging.

Feb 3, 2010When i miss a call on my phone , i get a little phone emblem with a x next to it, but i also get an envelope symbol as well. why is this? how can i change it to just show the phone with an x?

Mar 8, 2010Most of the time, my Storm charges fine. Plug it in, wait a few hours, and the battery is good to go.Sometimes though, it is plugged in for hours, 16 hours this time, and the power bar is still empty. If I unplug the phone, it shuts off. I mention this to forestall the "make sure it's plugged in, lol" comments. Obviously it's getting some juice, since the phone stays powered up, the battery just isn't charging.One time I had to leave the phone plugged in for three days before it started to charge.Does anyone have any suggestions?

May 20, 2010I've had this storm for a while now, since like Jan of last year. Its given me my headaches, and little things with using too much memory with their apps...sucks lol.
But the latest issue is with charging. I noticed sometimes the bolt comes up saying that its getting power, and sometimes it will just staylike that, but will loose power, or if i wiggle it the right way it will stay charging.
If not then sometimes it wont get a charge even though its plugged in! Is it the charger, or the phone port? Becuase I am charging it through my computer, although super slow, it doesnt have the same issues as my wall charger by my bed!
BB Storm 9530/9500 :: Replacement / Battery Not Charging
Mar 3, 2010Just over a week ago my Storm 1 began giving me problems. Basically died. Started to do an insurance claim but went to the store first. They said, we'll just do an insurance replacement overnight. Ok, received the replacement the next day. Activated it with no problems, went to charge it and it would not charge. (This was the old battery from the first phone since one was not sent with the replacement.) Plugged into USB on computer, went haywire. Took it back to store where they took an hour to reload the software. Took phone back home, did the exact same thing. I went back to the store, where they gave me a new charger. Went back home, then 2 days ago, the battery will not charge at all. Went back to Verizon, ended up having to buy a new battery. Charged it fully.
Clarification: It was at 30% charge when I left the store with the new battery. Charged at work during the day up to about 75%. When I got home I put it on the home charger for at least 4 hours. It never got above 85% full. This morning down to 70%, and now after charging for 2.5 hours, still won't go over 70% charged. What the heck! All I want is a phone that works! What can I do at this point? After replacing phone, charger AND battery! Heck, I'd be happy to just get another phone. Like maybe an 8530. I wonder if that's possible or would I have to get another Storm 1? What should I do at this point? Call CS? Go back to store?
IPhone :: Why Wouldn't The Charging Symbol Change Into The Full Plug Symbol When Fully Charged
Mar 26, 2012i charged my iphone overnight and it is turned off. i noticed for the past few days that the plug symbol when an iphone is fully charged never appears. the iphone seems to be still charging. but when i turn on my phone it says that it is 100% charged. why wouldnt the charging symbol change into the full plug symbol when fully charged?

Sep 12, 2010I wish there was an easy way for me to portray the amount of disdain I have for my Storm at this time, however, that won't do me any good!I'm just looking to get some insight to my problem and whether or not it can be resolved! It would be really unfortunate if I had to replace my lump of a phone as I am a college student that just moved away from home and am in the middle of my two-year contract.My phone is still in operating order minus the faulty touchscreen, it still receives messages, emails, and even phone calls. All the side buttons work, in short, the screen is just dead.I did not drop it nor spill any liquids on it and I've performed a plethora of battery pulls. I'm at a loss!Let me describe the events that occurred before (seemingly) death of my touchscreen. I was at a friends house preparing for a 9/11 5k race when I noticed my battery was running low so I left it in a safe place to quietly run out of steam because I had no need to carry a phone during a race. At this point it was still fully functional. After the race, I check my phone to see if it was out of power yet which it was. I get home later that night and charge it only to rudely surprised by an inoperable screen. I cleaned the screen and did a few battery pulls afterwards in hopes it was only a minor problem to no avail.

I was also in a moderate car crash the day prior so perhaps that may have caused some problems? Externally, my phone is in mint condition. I suppose this just hasn't been my week!

Apr 7, 2012my iphone 3g battery died. When I recharged it the large icon with a lightning bolt under it showed up and it booted after a while. After that the charge does not go higher than 2% and it turns off after barely a minute of usage and there is no charging sign on the battery icon. The chrome strip on the border also becomes live while connected.

Feb 7, 2011I got my Z3 2 months ago. I had no problem charging it before, it used to charge fine but after 3 weeks, it started to act strange during charging process. Even if the phone is plugged in fine, the phone charges for few minutes then stops charging again. The charging LED light turns off and when i check the phone, theres no charging signal. But sometime it charges fine without disconnecting.
I thought it was my charger's problem and i tried 2 more new chargers and its still the same. I was running 4.4.4 when this problem occured so i was guessing maybe it was software related issue. I updated to 5.1.1 but the problem still exists. I am using USB cable to charge it. It happens with both the wall charging and PC charging, I even tried factory resetting but no luck. I don't use wireless charging or any charging dock, only USB cable.
BB Storm 9500 :: Phone Symbol Next To Text Messages
Jul 26, 2010I have a symbol I can't identify next to one of my text message conversations. It looks like a tiny cell phone. The symbol appeared when I texted a friend who recently moved to China. He still has his same American Blackberry but no data plan, hence no BMMing, but his messages still appear in my BBM chat list with the same symbol. The conversation shows up under in my text messages like it normally would as well. What does this symbol mean? Does it have anything to do with him leaving the country/deactivating his data plan?
