BB Curve 8350i :: SIM Card Displays Wrong Number - How To Change
Apr 28, 2010My formerly Nextel BoostBerry 8350i works just fine, except for one strange thing: my phone number is listed as the old number associated with the SIM card. Even though on the Boost website my phone number and SIM number are correct, and even though if you dial the correct number my BoostBerry still gets the call, it still shows me the wrong number... and I can't for the life of me figure out how to change it.

Mar 10, 2010I just bought a brand new Blackberry 8350i today and I don't think it's charging. The lightning bolt shows up on the battery indicator but then the bolt is gone after 5 seconds. Is it still charging? The user manual doesn't explain it much.

Oct 22, 2015I have a Sony Xperia Z3 from Rogers and I am using the Messaging app provided by Sony.

The Messaging app worked properly until I needed to send the phone away for service about two months ago. When the phone came back, I used the Sony desktop app to restore my data. After that, whenever I receive a picture via text message and I press the picture to open it, the wrong picture appears. For example, I received a picture today from a friend. When I click on it, an old picture from my camera roll appears. I have tried clearing the Messaging app's cache, disabling it, restarting the phone, and then re-enabling the Messaging app. Nothing works.

The other texting apps on my phone (Messenger, by Google, for example) work properly. The problem is isolated to the Messaging app from Sony. And my phone works properly otherwise - this is the only issue.

Jul 2, 2010I am a Vodafone customer and the Customer Service no. is 111. There are 2 entries in my contact list viz. Name: Hxxxxxx with No.: xxxxxx111 and Name: Mxxxxxx with No.: +97xxxx111xx . When I sent an SMS to Vodafone No. i.e.111, in Log it shows sent to Vodafone Care but under the sent items It showed as sent to Hxxxxxx. Then I deleted the entry for Hxxxxxx from my contact list and sent the SMS to 111 again. This time in log it showed sent to Vodafone Care but under sent items it showed as sent to Mxxxxxx. Then I deleted the second entry too from the Contacts and tried again. This time under sent itemes as well as log it showed sent to Vodafone Care correctly. Why this is happening and how to rectify the same?

Used weather widget there, and it showed me USA local weather for Wayne, near Philadelphia.I am home now in Novi Sad and weather widget still shows "Weather for Wayne'' and the temperatures and forecast are for Novi Sad. I tried to go put get GPS lock on Novi Sad in Drive. No change. I can not remove ''Wayne'' in any way I tried. I am having correct forecast and current temperature but I can not remove name of the location.

Apr 29, 2012For some time now when I try to update apps on my iPhone 4 the Apple ID it shows upon choosing to update an app is not my ID. The ID shown slings to another family member with an iPhone who uses the same Mac desktop (and thus iTunes) as I do. Another person asked this question but it wasn't answered. I tried signing out of app store in my iPhone settings (by the way, it said my apple ID was being used. By my phone!) and then signing back in with my apple ID, but that didn't work either--it stil asks for the password for the other apple ID when I try to update.

Mar 21, 2010It is showing wrong numbers when I search for contact name in the contacts. It shows the wrong number but under the name I am searching for. 3-4 times I called wrong person because my bold showed and dialed a different number for the name I am searching for. I don't know how to solve this.When I type the name of the contact I'm looking for my Bold 9000 displays the list of contacts as usual but the phone number of the contact is wrong. I have to scroll to another name on the list then scroll back to the name I was looking for in order to get the phone to display the correct phone number. I have been using this phone for quite some time and had always worked fine. This problem began yesterday. I do not sync the phone (never have, probably never will). I have not made any changes or added any software. The only thing I have done recently is added more contacts.I have also noticed that it is slower than usual when searching for names and it takes a long time for it to recognize that I have typed more charcters in the contact name before updating the list of results.

Aug 4, 2011After the 2.3.4 update, the calendar will show the incorrect organizer name for appointments that I have created. This only occurs when there is more than 1 Google account setup on the device.
example: The main account on my device is Joe@gmail.com, the secondary account is Bob@gmail.com. I create an appointment on the Joe@gmail.com calendar. On the Atrix Calendar it will show the appointment organizer as Bob@gmail.com.
If I click "show attendee details", the information is correct.

Oct 19, 2015last day I got my OTA update for my nexus 5. Now its running on android 6, but now im facing a new issue. when my battery drain to around 60% it jumps directly below 20%. when i restart my phone it will show the right percentage. Is this hardware or software issue??

Although this was my first blackberry I like the overall thought and function of the device and refuse to let this crap device alter my opinon of other blackberry devices. I tried and tried to talk to sprint/nextel to replace my device with another model since they refuse to update and support the 8350i. But you and I both know I didnt get anywhere. I have recent reverted my os back to the .204. Does anyone else have any input on how to further advance my preformance of the device?

Jan 24, 2010I am trying to help a friend that has a 8350i from nextel Brazil. The problem is I can't get the sprint software to instal on it. I've even erased the entire operating system from it and used the BB desktop software to upload sprint's os, but it won't allow me. It only lets me restore up to the os nextel Brazil uses. He has a US Nextel sim card in it with the everything data plan. Phone and direct connect works fine but no data or email setup options.
Sprint store was of no help, they really can't do much since the serial number is from nextel Brazil. I guess my question would be, is there a way to bypass the bb desktop software to allow the installation of US nextel OS? or is it possible if he calls costumer service and get them to register the bb pin in his account he'll be able to set up email and data?

Apr 13, 2014I have had my Nexus 5 for several months and only ever used 1 of my 2 Google accounts on it. About a month ago I decided with a bit more with my second account I would try putting my second Google account in the settings. So I added it in settings > accounts > add account > Google then fill out the rest. I only originally checked to sync Gmail, Keep, and URL shortener for that second account. As those were the only things I really needed for that account since I had my main account already. Switching Google accounts in the Gmail app, Google Keep app, and URL shortener app are very easy and have worked great!
The problem occurred when I decided to add a Google+ profile photo to that second account and decided to sync Google+ on my Nexus 5 for that account too. Since doing that, now in the notification toggle shade for Google+ profile toggle it shows that profile picture with the short cut to go to that Google+ account. Which I do NOT want as that is a highly private account! I want it to stay as the original account I have always had that I have set to sync almost everything with.
how I can change what Google+ profile shows in the notification toggle pull down shade? I also noticed when going to Google contacts app under Me section at the top it shows the Google+ profile I don't want. I have tried unchecking and then rechecking the Google+ sync option for the account I wanted to show but that did not resolve it.
In the Google accounts section on my phone settings I noticed my main account is at the top, but when going in the Google+ app and on the left side menu it shows the account I don't want to show in the notification toggle and contacts app, as the account listed at the top. I am thinking that account being on top on the Google+ app is what's causing the issue.

Apr 17, 2012I've forgotten my passlock, and when i try a new code i get it disabled for a period of time, after many attempst i get it disabled again and it says to plug into itunes.....when i plug it in it says itunes can not accept this iphone because it has a passlock..it says to unlock it before plugging it in...the last time i synced it was at my friends house, because my computer broke...i just bought a new laptop and my IPHone isnt syncing or restoring or unlocking..?

Jan 18, 2010Now that Boost will be legitimately offering a BB, the 8330, is it worth getting rid of the 8350i? I NEVER use DC, and is gaining the 3g speeds worth losing wifi over? Are there any other details I left out that would be a dividing factor?
