I'm having problem updating my 9900 to a v 7.1. Through Desktop or wireless, I can't. I can help friends update but I can bo mine. I'm geting discurage or the Blackberry I love.
I just exchanged my bold 9900. The store gave me the white one because black was out of stock. The phone has firmware version 7.0.0.296. It says no new updates found when i use the desktop manager or blackberry.com/update. Its a generic 9900. on my old black one i found a new software update. Is there something wrong or are firmware different for the white model?
I have a blackberry bold 9900 on Vodafone in the UK. It asked me to run an software update warning it would take 2 hrs or more and I wouldn't be able to make phone calls etc during that time. It has sat at 9% 5 mins into the upgrade, I have now even attached it to my laptop hoping it would speed the process up. It currently has series 7 bundle 1465 and is updating to series 7 bundle 2406 (I have that from desktop). I am doing it right and it'll be ok if I leave it running overnight - it won't let me reset it so I am stuck in a loop.
I just bought a BlackBerry 9900. I've setup a new email and it is working fine... But often, the handphone always go back to the email setting up screen. It will often go back "checking for updates" & "connecting to email settings"... Even when I'm texting or calling, it keep appearing.
My daughters both have 9300's One is running on 6.0 2949 the other 9300 will not let me upgrade from 5.0 1399. When I plug phone into PC and check for updates I get message saying no Blackberry updates
Since the Market App was updated to ver. 3.1.5 on my htc Desire, that when I get a new message in the notification area that there are updates for any of my20 Apps and clicking on updates it goes straight into My apps but no updates are showing only installed apps so don't know what apps need to be updated, or if already updated it does not say what app was updated. On clicking on all my apps there is no ticks in any of the Automatic Update boxes! Before the update to ver. 3.1.5 you could see what apps needed to be updated and why and had a choice if you wanted it updated or not
My Blackberry Bold 9900 is not turning on.Details: A battery pull has not fixed my problem.I tried using another 9900 battery, however it did not work.My battery does not work on other 9900 devices. There are no signs of moisture, nor has there been contact with water. The LED light doesn't show, nor does anything on the screen.
i just bought an n900 and waiting for it to be delivered, it's second hand and i gather that some n900s don't accept all 3 sims but there was an update for it so now it does, is that right? if mine isn't accepted how do i update it given that it doesn't work with ovi or pc suite?
Are people still receiving traffic information in the UK. It worked for about 2 weeks on the latest update (the free one of course!), but now it updates but doesn't download any new information and says its updated at so-and-so time.
I currently have a 5800 and am happy with it, but it is also a bit buggy - slow, hangs/freezes, sometimes restarts etc. I have the option of buying a new N97 for $200 and I'm really tempted to buy it and sell the 5800 (I originally wanted the N97 but couldn't afford it). I like the QWERTY and its homescreen but I keep hearing the ram is too small for its capabilities and that it's been very buggy. Can anyone tell me if it has improved with the updates and if I should get it, or just stick to the 5800?
My Nokia E7's Maps claims to be v3.09 12wk09 b05, MW OpenGL MN, Map version 0.2.47103 and 'SW Update' in checking for the latest improvements for (the) Nokia E7-00, says "Good news. Your E7-00 is already fully up-to-date."
Just before a weekly backup through Nokia Suite 3.6.36, I notice an opportunity to update the maps and, silly me, I decided to cheese the 'All' option erroneously thinking I'd have success updating 1,800+MB of map data; needless to say, at around 950MB or so, the error message of 'unrecoverable download error' or something to that effect left me with fewer maps than with which I began, including my local neighborhood!I attempted (several times) to download the map covering my local area and, when I tapped on the little red dot that show my current location, the surrounding vicinity is blank with the exception of several stars showing some of my Favorites.
Tapping the '-' to zoom out, however, reveals what appears to be street lines on half of the screen. Sure enough, there are some 'distant' Favorites, complete with streets but no street names except for major highways. Scrolling around leads to a screen freeze and even the lower left-hand 'x' to close fails as does any other attempt to close or even move to a different home screen. Closing the E7 and flipping it back open does nothing. Holding down the power button gives me three short, quick vibrations and then again gives me a reboot.
Back in Maps shows I have no maps at all; however, I can access Favorites in other countries. Downloading a map for the area where I live takes me back to my original dilemma where my current location is shown, but the surrounding vicinity is blank with the exception of several stars showing some of my Favorites, including those in different countries; however, even there not all streets/street names appear.Deleting that previously downloaded map and downloading it again makes no difference.
I've got the Lumia 920 now for more than three weeks. I downloaded about 30 apps, a lot of Nokia and also other populars such as Skype, Facebook, Twitter and so on.I haven't received any app update since I bought my phone and downloaded all those apps. I think it's strange because on my 800, I still receive regular app updates (about two-three times a week I think)So, I think it's abnormal that I don't receive any updates on the 920. Could this have something to do with the wifi issue on the current Win8 release?
Is there a way for your iPhone to automatically search for application updates without having to open up the app store and go to the updates tab? I was hoping there could be some sort of notification icon (on the app store icon) saying how many updates are available..
My blackberry just hanged after I restarted it upon the new fb update (I suspect it's this case).I can type in my password but it just get stuck at the welcome screen. I tried connecting it to the blackberry desktop but it can't be connected. I tried calling my blackberry from a different phone but it hangs at the call screen too. I have restarted it several times but it still doesn't work!
I basically just talk to one person with BBM. She updates her status quite a bit. Lately I haven't been able to see "recent updates" in the main BBM window but I see her change it in the chat. Why can't I see recent updates?
I've only just noticed this today but a part of my screen doesn't respond to my touch. Weird as it's only in a specific area, just to the right of the centre through to the top of the screen. The rest of the touchscreen works perfectly fine. I've ran the touchscreen test via diagnostics and the line I draw breaks whenever I go through that area of the screen. This is getting annoying as I've just sent it off for repairs 3 weeks ago for a faulty headphone jack.
I updated my phone and should not have....Terrible lag and no battery life. Slow at loading apps and messages. Is there a way to uninstall the update and go back to the old one?
I'm rooted with an unlocked bootloader. I received the notification to install 6.0.1. I told it to install. When I went back to check on my phone the "team win" screen was up. I chose to power off and restart. I'm back up now but in settings it says I'm still on 6.0 and no updates are available.Did I do something wrong? How do I get to 6.0.1
I have a Lumia 710 and I own a macbook, I tried to download the Zune software but it is windows only and then I downloaded Windows phone 7 connector for my mac and I am wondering do software updates show up there or will I need to find a windows computer?
