If I try to send a large picture as an MMS I get a message that the file is too big. If I try to send as email I get prompted to resize. According to the documentation from RIM, I should get the same dialog when trying to send as email or MMS. However, I only get it on emails and can't resize my pictures in MMS.
View 1 RepliesAfter uptading my BB 9300 Curve from os 5 to os 6 (6.0.0.570) I can not resize picture when trying to send it as MMS attachment. (i see only information that the limit of the maximum picture size is exceeded). Resizing works only when I want to attach file to e-mail message (I see dialog where I can choose picture size / resulotion). Before update (in os5 ) i had this resizing dialog for both: MMS and e-mail.Is there any possibility to fix this problem and enable this dialog when attaching pictures to MMS? The dialog with resizing options still does not work but it scales the pictures automatically to be send via MMS.me.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Torch 9850 and when I used to send pics to a friend through BBM they would get the option to preview, save or cancel; in turn, I would receive the same option. When I clicked "save" it would download the full 1-2MB version of the pic in BBM, saving it to my picture folder. Yesterday they bought the same phone (Torch 9850) and now when either of us send a pic, neither of us have the option or are given the opportunity to download the actual picture file?!? We simply get a low quality 30KB image with no option other than to go to the BB file menu and click "save" which saves not the full high quality image, but the 30kb one we just received.
View 1 Replies View RelatedUntil recently, on my Bold 9780...prior to sending a photo as text attachment I was prompted to select the file size to send. But this pop up was annoying so I elected for all photos to be sent in their original large size. Now, I want to be able to select the size or change the default. I still want the camera to shoot large files and I do not want a 3rd party application as this is too many steps.
How can I go back to selecting photo file size for each attachment or change to default before sending?
Recently I have been unable to view my photos successfully on my laptop. It has been happening for several weeks now...When I transfer the photos to my laptop via USB (before you ask, I have tried as USB Mass Storage, PC MODE, and Windows Media Sync) and try opening them, I get the message 'Window Photo Viewer can't open this picture because the file appears to be damaged, corrupted, or is too large.' I just now figured out today how to get the Motocast application installed and running, and it synced up ~400 pictures from my phone to laptop.
However again, when I try viewing any of them on my laptop, I get the message. I have been emailing the photos from my phone, but for some reason that stopped working today also. I go to the photo gallery and do a multi select>Share>Email, and the draft is created. I see the photos attached, put in my email address, but the email never sends...it just pops up with an orange triangle next to the subject and says Send Action canceled. Not sure what all information is needed...software is updated, is a RAZR MAXX, my laptop is Windows 7. About 65 of the photos/videos appear to be in Internal Storage and the rest are on sD card.
I took a great family photo with my camera and it looks fantastic. When I E mail it to both my aol and gmail account, only 1/2 of the picture gets sent to the account. I even tried sending it to my facebook page and my work E mail and the exact same thing happens. I can see if the picture was appearing only 1/2 on my phone. I need to send this photo to family members....

My husband carried both our phones to be serviced.. It worked for a few hours and stopped again. We found other ways to send pictures through apps but not everyone uses these apps. Sending pictures only works through imessages but then again not everyone on my contact list has it. Anyone got any ideas or fixes to the problem?

I don't know what info to put here. I had just snapped a picture using the phone, it was not a picture from anywhere else. It came up for both people I tried to send it to. Never had an issue before.

With the G3 it was a matter of holding it and placing it back down and resizing options would appear, like for widgets. I hope LG didn't think it was a good idea to remove these features. The owner's guide says to tap the widget until vibration, then drag corner to new size. All that happens for me is that the calendar wants to move to a new position. On one attempt, the widget went into the trash. When I re-installed the widget, it came back in half its previous size (now 2x2 where it was 4x2). I cannot resize this widget either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedThe camera on the Droid X is pretty good..high res...maybe not as good as the SAMSUNG I just gave up to by the Droid but good. With my SAMSUNG and the phone I had before, if I sent a picture to an e-mail address it was just one button click to resize it for e-mail (would take the 3MP and resize to 100-180K which is much easier to download and views just fine on phone or laptop...with the Droid X it does not automatically give you the sizing option and if you go to the edit function it only lets you go down to 1MP...that is almost 10 times the size it should be for sending e-mail...really making people mad that I send pics too...is there a way to resize for e-mail (100-180K)

Could see the different clocks in 2.1 and then select. But not in 2.2.2. You just select digital and see if it appears on the screen after stepping out of this settingsBut despite selecting digital, after revisiting the settings box, it still shows analogue - it should show digital since I selected digitalOn the screen the digital time & date widget shows up with time (top part: time side is ok) but with date (bottom part), this part shows the entire calendar with the highlight on present date. Funny aspect is that earlier at the first ever initial time I selected this widget, it showed up with the date i.e., with bigger matching font size to time (top: time , bottom: date) but later it stuck to the entire month-calendar format as mentioned above. After this the widget screen size also remained unchangeable. This widget can't be resized. It could be resized in 2.1 with your format in mind.

Having a problem with stock Messenger. I can send pics but not videos. I took a short (5s) video on my 6P and tried to send it to my son. He's got a 5X. I get an error saying "message not sent: couldn't resize video..".
He's running stock Marshmallow MMB29T, and I'm rooted (same build) and running PureNexus 6.0.1-20160109 which is the latest version. He can send videos just fine and I can receive. Other than the sending of videos, all is running good.
