Dec 5, 2011Until recently, on my Bold 9780...prior to sending a photo as text attachment I was prompted to select the file size to send. But this pop up was annoying so I elected for all photos to be sent in their original large size. Now, I want to be able to select the size or change the default. I still want the camera to shoot large files and I do not want a 3rd party application as this is too many steps.
How can I go back to selecting photo file size for each attachment or change to default before sending?

Mar 25, 2010I work in education, and we have about 60 Nokia 5800 XpressMusic phones that we use with kids. We don't have SIM cards or any kind of mobile plan with the phones -- we use them just for Internet browsing, videos, photos, etc.
I'm wondering if it's possible to e-mail photos directly from these phones. If so, how would we do this?
(I tried accessing Yahoo! and gmail accounts via the Web browser, but the mobile versions of these sites don't have attachment options. I also tried setting up the gmail account under the phone's messaging options, as is explained here, however it wouldn't let me set up my account because there was no network connection.)
BB Curve :: Can't Resize Picture Before Sending It As MMS Attachment
Oct 23, 2011After uptading my BB 9300 Curve from os 5 to os 6 (6.0.0.570) I can not resize picture when trying to send it as MMS attachment. (i see only information that the limit of the maximum picture size is exceeded). Resizing works only when I want to attach file to e-mail message (I see dialog where I can choose picture size / resulotion). Before update (in os5 ) i had this resizing dialog for both: MMS and e-mail.Is there any possibility to fix this problem and enable this dialog when attaching pictures to MMS? The dialog with resizing options still does not work but it scales the pictures automatically to be send via MMS.me.

Motorola Droid 3 :: Cannot Resize The Calendar Widget?
Aug 18, 2011The owner's guide says to tap the widget until vibration, then drag corner to new size. All that happens for me is that the calendar wants to move to a new position. On one attempt, the widget went into the trash. When I re-installed the widget, it came back in half its previous size (now 2x2 where it was 4x2). I cannot resize this widget either.

With my SAMSUNG and the phone I had before, if I sent a picture to an e-mail address it was just one button click to resize it for e-mail (would take the 3MP and resize to 100-180K which is much easier to download and views just fine on phone or laptop...with the Droid X it does not automatically give you the sizing option and if you go to the edit function it only lets you go down to 1MP...that is almost 10 times the size it should be for sending e-mail...really making people mad that I send pics too...is there a way to resize for e-mail (100-180K)

Could see the different clocks in 2.1 and then select. But not in 2.2.2. You just select digital and see if it appears on the screen after stepping out of this settingsBut despite selecting digital, after revisiting the settings box, it still shows analogue - it should show digital since I selected digitalOn the screen the digital time & date widget shows up with time (top part: time side is ok) but with date (bottom part), this part shows the entire calendar with the highlight on present date. Funny aspect is that earlier at the first ever initial time I selected this widget, it showed up with the date i.e., with bigger matching font size to time (top: time , bottom: date) but later it stuck to the entire month-calendar format as mentioned above. After this the widget screen size also remained unchangeable. This widget can't be resized. It could be resized in 2.1 with your format in mind.
Its stuck on this:I just want to see the date and time (3:44pm 15 Nov Mon) and not the entire month-calendar ... ideally this should go away once the widget is resized.Its quite surprising to see 2.2 behave so .. for a lack of better word .. buggish. I did the bit where you switch off the phone, remove the battery and fit it back and restart, but this didn't do much.Update:Got this widget to resize by fluke when I tried to insert another application on the home screen and so I have managed to at least get the widget to become smaller, albeit in the 'vertical stack' form. Huawei Nexus 6P :: Couldn't Resize Video MMS Error
Jan 20, 2016Having a problem with stock Messenger. I can send pics but not videos. I took a short (5s) video on my 6P and tried to send it to my son. He's got a 5X. I get an error saying "message not sent: couldn't resize video..".
He's running stock Marshmallow MMB29T, and I'm rooted (same build) and running PureNexus 6.0.1-20160109 which is the latest version. He can send videos just fine and I can receive. Other than the sending of videos, all is running good.

After coming from an Iphone one of the glaring deficiencies with this mail app is that I cannot resize html email content. I don't see any other options for mail on this phone, am I stuck with this app for mail? Is it part of the MotoBlur suite? I like the MotoBlur messaging tools or not. I want to like it because it seems like a great idea but it also seems a bit too cumbursome and non-intuitive. I'll try it a bit longer to see if it grows on me or not.

May 31, 2012My iphone mail app regularly requires restart to get mail flowing. That is it is running (doesn't crash) but will at time just stop getting email updates. I then have to force close the mail app (i.e. kill it) and then restart it. After restarting it the mail flows again.
Notes:
a) I do connect to Gmail for my mail - I'm using the IMAP facility for gmail currently (i.e. not the "Exchange" method)
b) I do also have the Google "Gmail" app running on my device too
c) on iPhone 3GS, latest version of IOS

May 2, 2012When I'm out and about, I pick up my mail on my iPad and/or on my iPhone. I HATE having to sift through the duplicates. I know I can delete the emails from the server as they are being downloaded, and that would solve the problem between the iDevices. But I still want a copy of them downloaded into Outlook on my desktop for future reference, so deleting them from the server before Outlook gets ahold of them does not seem like a good idea.I currently have a POP3 account, but I could move onto an Exchange Server or into iCloud or something else if that would solve the problem.
