I just installed Blackberry OS6 on my Verizon Bold 9650 and enjoy using the social feeds app but I keep getting duplicate notifications in my feeds list that I cannot delete.
I will sometimes get two new facebook/twitter feed notifications and one of them will delete but the other won't.
I have tried re-installing social feed, facebook, and twitter apps.
My social feed does not show FB nor Twitter and I can't seem to add them? I have both FB and Twitter running on my phone but it is not integrated into social feed and it is not available as a drop-down item either... I did device switch and both FB and Twitter disappeared so I had to download FB and Twitter apps manually onto the 9800.
View 14 Replies View RelatedI had to restore my factory settings to change my default google account on my moto xprt, but after that I couldn't get updates from news (rss feed) and social networking, as well as facebook mails (in universal inbox) and fb contacts. no news, no mail, no contacts! I have tried the following:
- Turn device on/off, remove the battery
- Erase facebook account and reenter it
- Remove motoblur app from my fb account, then reenter the fb account
- Turn sync social networking via WiFi only on/off
- Leave the phone on battery maximum performance to sync through the night
- Clear data from social networking and news app (in app manager)
- Restore factory settings again
- Tried updating it via gsm data only
Nothing seems to work, but it worked fine before the factory reset. I couldn't find motoblur registration option. is that common for android phones? When I factory reset I don't get that motoblur registration window!
I have the rss widget and somehow have a maemo feed on it, but how do you add new ones like a twitter feed or something?

I've subscript with [URL] RSS feed before. But for some reason, i've removed the news widget, and now, when i create the news widget again, i can't subscipt to the RSS feed. i've tried inputing the website to custom feed, and also from the browser, click on the RSS icon and add to news widget.i just have the loading wheel spinning for a long time. I can tap the back button and it will shows up, but no news feed.And i was trying to add some RSS feed from kotaku.com, and i received an error message. Now i've lost the tip and tricks subscription and digg feed. And i can't add any feed at the moment.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've noticed a few people posting on Facebook fan pages for Nokia N97 orig and mini that the NEWS FEED and WALL pages are blank, yet you can login and view other pages such as FRIENDS, PHOTOS and INBOX.When refreshing NEWS FEED and WALL, the page refreshes with no error, but does not display anything.I changed all my facebook privacy settings to defaults in case that was the problem, but no luck. Also confirmed that the NOKIA application was allowed to access information in my facebook account.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have my work emails fed to my Bold and all has worked well until today - when I was required by my trusty employer to update my Outlook password. As I have tried to follow the instructions from Blackberry (the verify form message), I have gotten stuck in a loop. I go to "Setup" -> "Email account" and click on it. This takes me to "Email Accounts" where I choose option "Internet Mail Account" (it is not an Enterprise account). Click. Now I am back at the previous screen. This loop is nauseatingly repeatable. I have also noticed that, I can really lock up my phone depending on how I exit the Setup app.
Battery removing time. So I have also been trying to simply remove the email account altogether and have been stymied at that as well. I went to the folder for the Outlook emails, chose "Options" then "Email Account Management". And I always get this popup: "Unable to open email setup application. Contact your wireless service provider." Meanwhile, and just for clarification, the other email account (Yahoo) is still receiving mail -- got one while I've been typing this. Thus I cannot get to the settings to change the account/password, and I cannot just delete the account outright. So far as I know.
I have a refurbished nokia lumia 1320. All I know is, I was scrolling down my Instagram feed and my phone just went black. a few seconds later it looked as if it was restarting but it got as far as the nokia screen and then just went black again. it kept doing that all night until the battery went dead and it stopped trying to start up. there was one point in time where I was trying to hold down the power button to turn it completely off and an exclamation point popped up on the screen and then went away I tried charging it by connecting to a wall outlet as well as to my laptop but then all it does is show the charging screen and then maybe 5 seconds later it will try to start up and then go black again.

I just updated my T-Mobile (don't think this problem is carrier-specific) HTC One with the latest sense 6 OTA. My icon/wallpaper customization keep getting reset to default. This happened twice already since I updated. I've also noticed that under Settings>Power>Usage... that Blinkfeed is still draining the most power even though I disabled it?

What exactly is the social hub? I'm under the impression that it is a Samsung app that presents synced data from various services in a central location and lets you link contacts from say gmail/facebook/phone together so you don't have duplicate names.But can this not also be done directly with the "contacts" on the phone?I've also noted that if I sync directly with the facebook app I get options of who to synch - for example I can sync only contacts that are already in my phonebook - so people that I rarely contact but who I am facebook friends with won't clutter up my phone. I think at one stage I even managed to sync facebook twice - once through social hub and again through the app.In short I'm a bit confused as to whether I want to keep the social hub. Do people with non-samsung phones see it as attractive? Or do they cope without it? Or do other manufacturers provide something similar?

I can use the web, connect to store, asks me if I want the 3G or WiFi connection, but only social refuses to connect. I have removed and re-installed Social. Always the same, Network is not available. Social works fine on my N8 with the same settings
I factory resoted my phone and then I installed the updates but the social update keeps giving me an error about update failed. I have tried to factory resore my phone again and its the same thing. I even downloaded and tried to install it manually but it gives me a unable to install error message.

I would like to try it out again, but can't find where to download the application. I've searched AppWorld, and can't find it. I upgraded via the OTA and when I plug in the BB to Mac Desktop Manager 2.0, I also don't see the option to installing.
