I have Social bundle activated on my phone. I am able to access BBM however can't login on Facebook & galk.Get an error message "you are currently on service plan does not support this service"PS: Aircel customer care doesnt have remote info bout BB phones.
I am trying to update the software on my blackberry 9360, however upon doing so it goes to 13% backed up and then stops when it trys to back up social feeds. It has been like this for the past six hours. i am unable to access any thing on my phone
after reparation of my blackberry I cannot connect with social network as facebook. What can I do ?? and then I cannot dowload any other application as "m.poynt.com/rf.
I have just started using my blackberry again. Originally my service plan was for a htc but I have now changed my service plan with orange so it has the blackberry service plan on it. I have double checked on my online account with orange and it has been updated so I assumed I would be able to set up my email accounts on my blackberry as usual with no problems But I cant do anything, I can't even register my phone with blackberry it keeps asking me to register my host routing table which I have done. It says the register email has been sent but nothing has happened. I have taken my battery out to see if it will update but still nothing? When using the email set up it had the BBES option but not the option to set up my personal emails.
I had scheduled a software update last night, scheduled for 2300 UK time. When I woke, I found my phone was off and the charger had come out of my phone. When turning my phone on again, it immediately started backing up software, which was fine until it began updating social feeds. Due to the fact it had not been charging all night, it was not connected to a network meaning it is currently showing 'Social Feeds 0%'. Sadly, I cannot leave this screen and so it has been trying to back up social feeds without connection for the last 6 hours.
I have Social Feeds installed on my Blackberry and it is integrated with Facebook. I can see posts from my friends through this App. However, when I try to post to Facebook, it gives an error. The error is "Your post was NOT sent to Facebook". The popup message appears instantly, hence I think the phone is not even attempting to make the post. I can post to Twitter and BBM, however.
I have tried updating my blackberry curve 9360, this went fine until it all needed backing up. it started backing up fine until it reached social feeds where it has froze. I've taken my battery out to try restarting it but it returns to my backup straight away when I turn it back on and I cannot get off this page as it has froze.
I'm trying to set up a yahoo email account on a Curve 8900 running OS 4, but when I go to Setup and Email Settings, all I get is the message "Your device had a problem connecting to the server". I'm based in Ireland and have eircom broadband. My wireless router is a Netopia with WEP encryption but no authentication (Open security).
I know sometimes I hit the end button instead of closing windows and that leaves them open. I know there's a way to find out what's open and close everything to make the phone less sluggish but I have no idea how to do it.
my Blackberry started doing something rather strange 2 days ago while it was sitting on the table for about 3 hours in stand by or whatever it does when you aren't using it. When I picked it up it was really hot even in its holster and I noticed that the battery was critical so I plugged it in after 30 mins it wouldn't charge so I took the battery off the BB allowed it to cool and placed it in the Blackberry again this time it charged and works fine then again today it does it again. Today I disabled Bluetooth and wireless prior to it happening so I know its something else. Now I would normally suspect a bad battery but if so it wouldn't charge and work normally would it?As for performance the only quirk that mine has is that once in a while it freezes (goes to hourglass) for 2 - 3 mins once it did it while I was dialing a call. Its on the latest os or so it says the blackberry desktop.
Since upgrading to ver 5 OS, my 8900 has been running very slow. Can't figure out if it's a memory issue (there's 24MB of main memory remaining...the storage card has 822MB remaining). It's starting to affect calls received - The ringer is very slow in starting....and my call goes into voicemail before I can answer it!
So my phone has been like this for a few weeks now. I click on something, and it takes it a while to actually go to the screen I want it to. or I try and scroll and it takes it a while before it moves to the thing I want it to. Sometimes when I call someone and I get their voicemail and I don't want to leave a message, I try to hit the end button and it doesn't end it right away. It is driving me crazy! ?
I have posted before about the battery problem on my curve 9220,I have just noticed that i can't find the battery saving mode and the application monitoring mode in Options>Device>*I am following battery saving tips ,yet i am getting poor battery performance.
My blackberry is running slow especially in the messages. When i receive a message i click R to reply and type my message and send it before it even loads the message and i just got this phone 2 weeks ago. Does anyone know how i could fix this and speed up my phone?
I have many apps running in the background. They don't close even if I go to Menu->Close. They keep running in the background. I can see it when I press Alt+Esc. Here are the apps that wont close.
Call Log Smart Calling Home Screen BB Alert MS Dist eMobile Today Messages Browser ColorID iBerry Black & White list
I recently reinstalled BB App World and it works fine. However, whenever the BB restarts with QuickPull, the AW icon is displayed with all the other icons when the menu key is held down. But if the AW icon is selected, AW does not appear. Nor does it appear if selected from the "All" screen.
Don't know if it's a coincidence or not but ever since I downloaded LiveProfile my battery cuts out a lot. The battery doesn't even let me get to the orange or the red and the screen just goes bright white and all the keys light up. I cannot get rid of the white screen unless I remove the battery however when I put the battery back in the screen just goes white again unless I put it on charge.
Now my battery only lasts me about 45 minutes! What I don't understand is why it doens't even go to orange or red and why the screen goes white?
I took it to a shop and the man in there seems to think that I must have something running in the background wearing the battery down but I've deleted all my apps except Google Maps and facebook and it's still happening
I sometimes find un unknown icon in my applications tray called menu. I reboot my phone and the icon disappears. The last two days I had the exact looking icon but this time it's called Startup2. Even when I reboot my phone it stays there. I've gone so far as to downgrade my OS and upgrade again, but it still does not go away. The icon looks like the icon on the Application folder. It is square with a thick white line at the top. Sort of like a "window".
I've got a Blackberry curve with 3G (purchased around 6 months ago at most) from the carphone warehouse. Apart from the newer Blackberry OS being buggy/a bit useless the phones been OK, but as the title suggests it's now occassionally freezing (you get the square with the arror turning) and as well as that I charged my phone to full battery a couple of days ago, turned it off overnight and the next day it had run out of charge. I tried again last night, the same thing happened.
The battery looks fine, fits in it's slot perfectly and isn't bulging/weird. The phones also never had water on it and i don't think that I've ever dropped it (it has a silicone case).
I've been experiencing this problem for the past 3 days and went to my provider today to ask about. My phone has been running extremely slow, the hour clock thing is forever running, and as a result my phone dies in about 3 to 4 hours with no real use. I was told it was because i need to update my OS but when I came home and plugged it in it says that my phone is up-to-date and there is no OS upgrade available. i bought a replacement battery to see if that was the problem and it is not. this is becoming quite frustrating. it has even gotten to the point of when i lock the phone i cant unlock it over even get the screen to turn on. the only way to turn it on is to pull the battery out
i have seen around the fourm people talking about flashing or running cricket on there blackberry. I'm just wondering what the benefits of running cricket or flashing your blackberry are and what it is
I recently upgraded my Verizon 8330 to Nathanix 5.0 Hybrid. I like the features of this OS, but now the Application Memory is almost full (I keep getting the screen that prompts me to select apps to delete) and it is running slow.
When I unlock it, it takes quite a few seconds to "boot up"; the hourglass is turning, but the keys and trackball don't do anything. This is really annoying if I recieve a SMS or email and want to check it really quick.
Also, it has been freezing up a few times a day, and I end up doing battery pulls.
I really like some of the features so I'm not sold on going back to my old OS, but this is annoying.
I'm trying to access a site that requires Java to be installed in order to run an applet. I am not able to. Everything I have read states that Java is not supported on the Blackberry. Looking at the phone information it states that he device is Java Powered. Can anyone tell me if running java applets from the browser is possible on a Blackberry Curve 8530? If I can't run Java Applets, this device is useless to me.I already know this problem is not a result of not enabling JavaScript. The problem I'm having has nothing to do with JavaScript.
According to my status, I'm running version 4.2.2.182 software. I've been on the blackberry website, and apparently version 4.5 is available. Now I tried to update my phone software, and according to the updater my phone is running the latest software. This isn't true though, and I think updating to 4.5 will help remove some of the problems with my Blackberry. How can I update my 8310?
What exactly is the social hub? I'm under the impression that it is a Samsung app that presents synced data from various services in a central location and lets you link contacts from say gmail/facebook/phone together so you don't have duplicate names. But can this not also be done directly with the "contacts" on the phone?I've also noted that if I sync directly with the facebook app I get options of who to synch - for example I can sync only contacts that are already in my phonebook - so people that I rarely contact but who I am facebook friends with won't clutter up my phone. I think at one stage I even managed to sync facebook twice - once through social hub and again through the app.In short I'm a bit confused as to whether I want to keep the social hub. Do people with non-samsung phones see it as attractive? Or do they cope without it? Or do other manufacturers provide something similar?
