BB Software :: Can't Setup Own Email Account On 9000.

My sister got a BB Bold 9000 upgrade and passed it on to me. I've been trying to get emails from my own email accounts delivered straight to my phone (did this before with the same SIM card I am using, on my Nokia 5800 and it worked perfectly). However, my screen is not showing the right screen when I go to Email Setup.Instead of giving me the option to add an email account, it only gives me the following option;'I want to use a work email account with a BB Enterprise Server'.Obviously this isn't what I want to do, can't find help anywhere and wondering if anyone could give me some advice as to how to sort this out?

I bought my first BlackBerry (Curve 3G 9300) on Friday and tried to setup a personal email account on the phone via the setup wizard earlier today.The phone said that an update to 6.11...... was needed in order to do this. I let it update, now the phone is just hanging after starting up. If I do a start up after removing the battery it comes up with a black screen with the BlackBerry logo and a progress bar below it. The progress bar moves along until the end, this takes around a minute. It then shows something like a little clock over the logo for about a second. Once this disappears the phone says with the logo and the completed progress bar - and just hangs there.

I am new here and i wanted some help with setting up my email on Blackberry.The thing is that my Blackberry is from India, and I moved to Australia.I asked for the ulock code from my indian carrier which they were happy to provide with.I never used push mail service or a BB before.I want to set up a push mail service from my Gmail account to my Blackberry, which i am not able to do. Got my BB curve 8025 at the weekend and have encounted afew things i didnt understand serched the net and found this site which as been a god send! I'm trying to set up email but atm its only giving me the option for setting up work email account with a BB enterprise server - I just want to set up a normal email account using my normal hotmail account but i cant get any further along as it asks for my enterprise activation password - which i obviously dont have?
Also - a few friend have gien me their pin so i can add them on BBM, i type the pin and it says contact pending but the person/s im trying to add get no notification that i'm trying to add them - we try it the other way with me giving them my pin and get the same result WHAT AM I DOING WRONG?

My Bold 9000 will not setup email. The only option showing in setup wizard is to use a work email account with BES which I do not have or want. I want to setup the email to be accessed by WiFi and not the phone. How do you do this? Thank you very much.

I have recently purchased a used Bold 9000 and am trying to set up an email account.On the setup screen in the Setup Wizard there is only one option instead of the 2 I'm supposed to have. The only option listed is to set up a work email account with a Blackberry Enterprise Server and I want to set up a personal email account.

My colleague had a blackberry curve 8900 and this was then passed to me as he left the company. My sim works in the phone fine but I am unable to set up my email as it says there is one already set up. Im no longer in contact with my colleague and not sure what to do. Is there any way of renewing this? When I go to email setup it doesnt have the option of create new email.

I just got a Blackberry Bold 9900 yesterday. During the process of trying to set up my outlook email on my phone I accidentally selected setup "Enterprise Email Account" instead of "set up another email account". Now when I go into the setup options and select email accounts it takes me back to the Enterprise setup automatically. I can't find a way to exit that setup and begin the "set up another email" procedure I have tried turning the phone off/on, removing the battery but still automatically takes me to the Enterprise email account setup/login.

I am a consultant and have a client that has a BB Curve. He has been using a certain provider inet for his email. He has now changed to a different provider (for technical reasons). I have tried to setup his new email account for the new provider - I also use a BB curves and have performed this operation for over 50 of my clients. However in this scenario, the Curve keeps asking for his account id and password. We have tried to enter it and it says that the Username cannot be blank. If we exit and re-enter the setup tool, and then enter the same info again, it says that the username and/or password is incorrect. His credentials have never - ever changed.
We cannot get his password (or acct info) sent to him by BB (RIM), because he no longer has the email address of record. Of course I tried entering a different email address to send it to, but of course it doesn't get to his phone as there is no eamil address setup (except his old one). The provider here in town (TELUS) has been quite useless in helping and have been quite specific that we need to talk to RIM, well of course this seems to be the only avenue available.Can someone direct us to the appropriate area or resource in order to proceed with setting up his new email account.

Blackberry sent a message it could not authenticate account password and e-mail. It is same account, password and e-mail as it has been for last two years. IT guy says change to Iphone or Android - less interface problems.
Have followed directions to a "T" and it still says "invalid e-mail address or password." IT guy confirms both still same and I can still access e-mail by laptop. In putted server host etc'' just as requested.At a loss as to how to set up e-mail FYI - yahoo and Google set up seamlessly just not with outlook. Have not had issue for past two years.

I cannot set up a particular email which is a yahoo email. I was successfully able to setup other yahoo emails. I remember that this particular email was linked to a former blackberry which was stolen about 19 months ago. Now I have another blackberry on another network service provider and it keeps saying update failed. I am starting to suspect that perhaps the email is still linked to that blackberry ....

I access my emails from work thru a VPN. I purchased a Curve 8520 cause I understood I could receive my emails on my smartphone. I set up my personal emails, which are working fine. But, I can't figure out how to set up my VPN settings for an email account on the 8520. Co-workers who have other smartphones(not Berries) and connect.

It's possible to use a 3rd party email app on my 9300. The problem I have found is that the 3rd party app wants the incoming mail server and the outgoing mail server. I don't have that information, and when I asked vodafone, they told me tocontact Blackberry (and very kindly sent me a contact number for Blackberry, which didn't work).Is it not possible in the UK to use third party email apps?

and is connected to the wireless network. I then click "Create New Account" I then agree and the setup page comes up and I enter my pin and the IMEI and then I get your account is not accessible via HTML browse?

Ive just got my new BB Curve 3g but cant setup an email account. It just keeps asking for me to setup an enterprise account?? But i just want to use my existing hotmail account.Also I registered for the Blackerry bolt on, but dont know if its working yet because im unable to use the BBM or facebook app, but I can use the browser to access the web when im on WIFI.

I can't find the setup for that anywhere. How do I do it? I've seen hreads about you needing a dataplan and what ever, does that mean if I don't have that I can't use the email function?I would think it would be able to synk with windows live mail but no. Sense outlook no longer exist its only able to synk my contacts I have.
