so when I click on the browser, it comes up with a message saying "Uncaught exception: Shared webkit instance unavailable: null". Then to exit the app, I have to press the 'End call' key and it again comes up with the same message. All the other apps on my phone that require the internet, are still functioning properly - I just can't use the actual browser.

For the past couple of days, I've been unable to use my BB's Browser or GPS functions. Whenever I try to connect to the BB Browser, I get a timeout error. None of my bookmarks are able to connect either. I've tried switching between the different settings in browser configuration settings (BIS, hotspot, wifi, IE, Firefox, etc) to no avail. I also have a wifi set up at home and even though it was working flawlessly a couple of days ago, it will no longer connect to any wifi. In addition, the GPS function is not working on any of the apps that use GPS (Both BB and Google maps, weatherbug, poynt).
Here's the kicker: Everything else is working great. I'm getting all of my emails from all of the emails I have configured with the device (my work email through the BES, forwarded from a comcast address, and from my *@vzw.blackberry.net address) and all of my apps seem to be working fine. I've got facebook, ubertwitter, ebay, weatherbug, poynt, and a couple of others and they're all able to update wirelessly.
I've tried going through a new enterprise activation, I've updated everything through the desktop manager, and I've re-registered the device on the network. I'm iffy on whether I've actually pushed all of the service books to the device again because I can't login here: https://bis.na.blackberry.com/html?brand=vzw. Whenever I try to, it tells me I have use my device's BIS. Well, that's my problem. I can't use my device's BIS. Also, I have one WiFi host routing table and about a hundred Verizon host routing tables. I'm not sure which ones I should delete, as I've read, in order to get it download a new one.
The only thing I've really noted that appears to be a problem is that when I go to Options -> Status, the device's IP Address is 0.0.0.0. I'm not sure if that is supposed to be like that or not. I know from regular internet usage on a desktop, if you don't have an ip address on the network, you can't get on the internet. Does that ring true for the BB as well?

When i send my pin to friends it does not get sent and when they send to me all i get is pending, it has been like this since i had it. I never purchased it brand new but it had hardley been used. It had windows live messenger on so i removed it thinking that it was not compatible using the two and done loads of reboots also. View 1 Replies View RelatedAlright, so the trackpad isn't working, but at the same time it is. When I use it with my bare skin, it doesn't work, it takes many swips to do anything. But when I use it with say a piece of tape, or a cloth on the end of my fingers it works great and without a problem.
It's a used phone so swapping it is not an option, but is there some way to fix it?
I was using my blackberry curve 9300 today, it was working fine and then I began to find it hard to use the trackpad, it was like it wasn't picking my thumb up so I decided to do a battery pull and I plugged the battery back in and the red light won't turn on and neither will the screen. It seems to be non-functional all of a sudden.

All I get is a blank white screen (no loading symbol, nothing), I have waited for several minutes but nothing changes.Then I installed the BB Desktop Software and connected my Curve to the computer. The software even recognizes the Curve but still there is just the white screen.

If you want to use this application please contact your service provider to upgrade your data plan.".I do not have a BIS plan but I am able to get into BB App World, Facebook app, twitter app, whatsapp app through WiFi but the pop up appears after more or less an hour and leads me having to reboot by blackberry to get it to work again. I used obviously the micro USB, try different cables, lenghts, etc...and there is no way to charge it. Even a friend of mine has a Torch and it did charge either....
