BB (RIM) :: Switching Providers / Dealing With BIS
Apr 2, 2010
I'm about to start a job for a company that will provide me with a BB account, so assuming they allow me to port my number over to the account they'll be taking care of, I'll be switching providers since they use Rogers and I'm currently with Bell. Now assuming they allow me to use BIS on the company subsidized account, I was curious as to what would be involved in terms of moving my BIS account to Rogers from Bell.
I got my BB Torch and tring to use it on in europe for vacation. I asked ATT for it they tried to crack it but they could not do it. They said that it is cracked 10 times and now there is no space to crack it. What should I do?
I bought my I phone 4 in Spain by movistar and i am living most of the year in Spain. But I am Dutch and visiting the Netherlands about 3 to 4 month of the year. I have a KPN simcard in the netherlands but, when I insert my KPN simcard in my i Phone, it is not working. How can I use both of my simcards, depending of the country I am in?
I have an iPhone 4S - my question is about PUSH mail Does iPhone support PUSH only with some email providers - if yes, where can i find a list with these email providers ?! The PUSH feature is provided by iPhone, or by the providers of email hosting ... to be more precise, iPhone can support PUSH as long as the email provider have this feature built-in ?!
Is there anyway to turn off or set it to ask me each time I connect to service providers internet? It just seems to connect whenever, even if I'm not expecting it, I don't have a data plan and don't intend on having one.Is there anyway to set it use use Wifi instead? Certain features I would only use in house.GPS is there anyway to just use the internal GPS and not the network? Why do the menus seen different to other phones (more complicated)? is it just the phone or is it what to expect of Android phones?
Simple things like message ringtones menu, what are they called now?
I use my Vodafone Storm2 in England and have done for about 7 months now. I have a £40 per month contract with unlimited text messages, 600 minutes, unlimited emails, unlimited internet. However, I am going to the States for a six week internship from July 5th and want to take my BlackBerry. If I do nothing and use it over there, I could potentially rack up near to £15 extra per day! I obviously do not want to do that. Can I unlock my BlackBerry here and then pick up a SIM when I get over to the States? If so could I send emails, texts and make calls without being charged? How would I go about getting such a SIM and what would I want to look for?
so here's the situation, i upgraded to ios4, which worked great. but then i switched providers and the new provider needs a jailbroken phone (telus) so i tried to do that. i hit one step in one of the jailbreaking apps that said to restore, so i tried. then i got the 1015 error, and now iphone just says "itunes" with the USB cable, and when i try and restore, i get the 1015 error.
I just wanted to know how can I delete my earlier service providers GPRS settings so that i can install my present service providers GPRS settings in X10_mini cellphone
I've had no data connection all day, only voice and text, but 3G only phones work fine. Called Verizon and they only gave me a refund for no data today, but wouldn't say why or how long. I guess its on there end since they didn't even try to see if my phone was the problem.
when I reformat my Nokia 5233 using code [*#7370#] my nokia apps pre-installed on my phone automatically sends registring message which is charged by some network providers. Is there any way to overcome this problem or removing my nokia apps from my phone.

My problem is that when I'm texting it will all of a sudden 'crash' I have tried removing the battery, giving it a few minutes and replacing the battery and again it 'crashes' It has happened a few times now and have found if I leave it for an hour or two without the battery in then replace it and try again it is fine. Last night the same thing occured but now when I turn it on it switches off again. I can't get past the date and time screen I don't know if it's due to a memory storage issue or software issue. I haven't the foggiest on how to update my software.....told you I am an amateur! Have removed memory card to no avail too.
Is it possible to switch off the 3G network to the 2G network on the C5-00.2?
Been told to go to settings then phone then network, all I see there is Network Mode, Operator Selection, and Cell Info Display, so is it the first option to change dual mode to GSM that switches it to the 2G network?
I've seen this question asked quite a few times from searching the threads, but I've not found a definite answer. I currently have a 3gs. I'm planning on buying an iphone 4 on pay as you go (UK), then just keeping my current contract sim. I'm not on an 'official' iphone contract. Does this mean I'm going to have to cut my cim card up to fit it in the micro sim tray?
I'm assuming there's no way o2 will give me a micro sim card whilst keeping my on my current contract, as they'll just tell me to get a proper iphone contract (which is £15 more per month than I'm currently paying with less mins etc)
Does anyone switch the sims between their iPhone 4 and 3G/3Gs? I finally found a new phone yesterday and I want to get a sim adapter so that I can use my 3GS when I'm training or in a place where I don't want to get the ip4 all dirty and sweaty. The guy at the store said that this is a no no and that AT&T would charge me the full price of the ip4 if I do this while I'm still under contract. This sounds like a complete load of bs but I just want to make sure.
I updated my phone to OS 6 and absolutely hate it. The slider menu is completely unnecessary for me and it always slides through and messes up what I'm trying to open. I want to switch back to my old OS, and I looked through the forum and saw how to do it, but you have to go to your provider's website for the software. Verizon doesn't have anything but OS 6 under their downloads for Curve 3G 9330. Does anyone know somewhere else for me to get the old OS?
My ray keeps switching off by itself, I notice that it will "die" after the screen display dim. It seems like it cannot sleep, instead automatically switch off. I repair the software by using PC suite a few times already.
I have a Xperia Neo L. I have used it for about half a year and there never has been any problems. However, since yesterday, after I switched off my phone. I was not able to turn it back on again. When I held down the power button, there was a vibration, which was normal, but there is nothing on the screen. The screen is just totally black. When I tries to charge my phone to see what happens, there is still the orange light on top, but my phone still does not switch on. I tried calling myself, but it claims that my phone is switched off. When I link my phoner to the computer, my phone will still have the orange light on top, signifying that it is being charged, but when I check my computer, I cannot find my phone(the file-removable disc(:/F))
I was excited about the HTC EVO Release Date thread but that was worthless. I'm hoping this will be an abuse free thread.I have a jailbreaked iPhone 3G. I'm running MyWi so I can tether my iPad. I love it. I'm getting faster data speeds on my tethered iPad than I do on my iPhone. Go figure that one.But I HATE the phone. I hate it, hate it, hate it. I have about a %40 call drop rate, per day. It's painful. So I'm thinking of switching to Sprint and the EVO. There is no 4G service in NYC or anywhere near me. I want to be able to tether my iPad and computer without paying an additional $30. I called Sprint and looked into. And right off the bat I wasn't happy with having to deal with a Customer Service Rep. in Punjab.
1) Will I be able to jailbreak the EVO so I can run other Apps and tether? What is the tether App called? Is there an Android jailbreak guide like there is for the iPhone on iClarified.com.
2) How will the call quality be on this phone with Sprint?
3) Can I talk and surf at the same time? Unlike on Verizon's network (for the time being).
4) How is the data speed with Sprint and this phone?
I am facing problem on my Iphone4, it is keep switching off itself if I don't use the phone for about 4 hours or more, is this normal after switch off I have to switch it on completely?
My month old (replacement) Iphone 4s decided to switch itself off and will not switch back on, it had not run out of battery nothing happened to it, now trying to switch it on and it does nothing. Even charging the battery gets no response. I got my original one in February and had only had that about 4 weeks when I had to have it replaced by Apple as there was a massive issue with the Ipod on it. Will Apple replace another one?
yesterday my iphone 4 kept switching off and would only turn back on when connect to a wall charger. after it turning off 5 times turning off the 5th time it came up with "activation required" and to connect it to itunes but when i take my phone off the charger it turns off. i then tried to reset while attached to my charger and came up with the battery screen saying i had red battery but when it turned fully on again with "activation required" and to connect it to itunes says i have 100% battery yet when i take it off the charger to connect to my computer (which once connected doesnt turn on at all) it turns off?
My iphone 4 has been working fine but recently I've started having trouble with it switching itself off. For example it will show 48% battery, this will suddenly and instantly reduce to 1% and my phone will go off. If i try and turn it back on it displays the image that indicates it has no battery however if i give it 5 mins and then switch it back on, it goes back to showing 48% battery.
