BB (RIM) :: Receiving Constant Spam Running OS5 On Boos?
Mar 27, 2010
Friends Bb 8330 is downloading junk mail as well as mail from the inbox that is being sent to her phone. How do you tell it to only d/l from the inbox? It is running OS 5 on boost mobile.
i'm receiving the same message from this PIN 2A3E972B since this morning. The message is the same always and I have received it like 5,000 times!!! This is smartphone virus?
Every once in a while I would get one SMS message from an unknown number which was spam. Today, for the last 4-5 hrs, I've been receiving numerous spam SMS msgs from 2 area codes in the Atlanta, GA area that are 3 different mobile numbers, and some of which are from the same repeating mobile number. Is there a way to block any spam text messages? I've just been deleting them, but didn't know if you can filter or block SMS msgs like you can with emails. I have a Blackberry Curve 8520 through AT&T
New spam emails being received on samsung s5 are disabling the ability to tag them as spam. This only leaves pressing unsubscribe which could be risky or delete. Meaning there is no way to stop future emails.
I've never gotten a spam TXT in the 2yrs owning an iPhone. Today I got my first one from some place telling me if I owe more than $10k to the IRS to contact them blah blah.
Trying to think of who I gave my # out to in the past week. ATT has my info but I highly doubt they would do anything but then again is this TXT coming from an email?
I just went to ATT blocking options and clicked block to all 3 options listed anyone else getting SPAM SMSs since owning the i4. Just wondering where they got my info better not be ATT.
Hi, I am getting spam text messages and I am sure that whilst reading through discussions previously there is a number which you can forward the text to depending on what network you are with. Is this correct and if so, does anybody know the number for Vodafone?
I've just received a spam sms by this unknown number +1 (347) 522-0616: "Apple is looking for people to Test & Keep the New iPad 3! (...)" Is there a way to block the number?
I am getting more and more spam-type messages on my iphone 4s. You've won a WalMart gift card, Do you need extra money?, things like that. Isn't there some kind of spam filter or malware proctection I can use?
Is there any way to mark email for my iCloud account as spam on my iPhone? I'm running iOS 5.1.1. It's extremely frustrating to receive spam email on my iPhone and have no way of reporting it. The iCloud WWW page will not allow you to log in from an iPhone and instead tells you to use the built-in Mail app. The Mail app will not allow me to mark spam. Since I have my iPhone set to display HTML images in email I have to be exceedingly careful not to open any spam messages until I can get to a desktop computer to log into iCloud. Sometimes, I don't have access to a desktop for multiple days at a time, which means I can't mark the email as spam for days and have to tiptoe around it. I can't tap the delete button at the bottom of an email, because it might move me to the spam message, which means I'll trip the webbug and I'm hosed. I thought that the new push was to be desktop-free as much as possible? Yes, I could just delete it, but that doesn't help to train the spam filters. Why is there no way, at all, of doing this on an iPhone? It's 5 years old already. Am I the only person in the world that receives spam on their iPhone?
Is there a way to have the stock mail app split my Yahoo inbox and spam folders? Just got the M8 (online pictures don't do the Verizon red version justice, btw!) and noticed a ton of spam in my main inbox, including dated from before moving phones. When looking around, I noticed I have no separate spam/bulk folder in the stock app like my last phone. It appears those emails are being retrieved from the server, but inserted into the phone's general inbox.
I would like to be able to block Spam email on Samsung Galaxy S6. I can see how to block specific addresses but I don't want to have to type out the email addresses to block every time. I want to be able to do it by clicking on offensive emails in my inbox.
I have a Samsung s5 and I am not able to get my spam aka junk mail, I see the folder but when I click on it i get a messaging saying that i may have emails that have not yet been retrieved from the server, although i can get them from my laptop.
I have recieved 2 spam e-mails in my gmail account. I deleted them imediatelly, including them in the trash.
But for my surprise, they are now in my calendar, and I cannot delete them. They are in a grey color, circulated by dots and are impossible to edit and delete.
My problem is identified because I have the icon on the home page saying I have an unread blackberry message (now 2) however when I go into blackberry messenger I have no new messages or updates. I believe it stems from a request from someone to add me to their contact list. However I do not know this contact. Their name consists of symbols and 2 thumbs up emoticons. The message that comes with the request is entirely in a foreign language of which I cannot understand the symbols. The first thing I did was to ignore the request as it was very suspicious. Since then I deleted the pin from my ignore list. After that was when I noticed the icon on my home page which wouldn't go away. I have tried getting known contacts to blackberry message me, I have sent bb messages. I have phoned out, been phoned, turned my phone off and on again and nothing has cleared it.
Today I received a review of the request ... so I declined. But then it appeared again shortly after so I decided to accept and then shortly proceeded to delete the contact from my contacts and ignore at the same time. Since then I now supposedly have 2 blackberry messages unread... however on opening the application I have no unread chats/messages and no new recent updates.
I received a Network Notification spam from a lotto thing saying my mobile number was selected to get a prize etc.... how would this message have been sent to me? is there a security breach or some problem with my BES? What type of message is this and where did it come from?
I've received a spam invitation on calendar app through my gmail account recently and accidentally declined the invitation. I'm not a very technical person but I've managed to delete the culprit and stop gmail from automatically adding events I haven't responded to to my calendar. What I wonder is that would my declining that spam invitation do any harm to my accounts, iPhone or iMac? If yes, what should I do?
Ever since I got my phone, I keep getting this email notification of Mobile Email OZMAIL. I never had gotten this from my old phone (Motorola Karma Q1) so I'm wondering why it keeps popping up. I believe it's a text message, it's not an email. It's reallly annoying and I want to get rid of it.
I have a Bold 9900 and am constantly receiving spam email (i.e. purchase Viagara etc.). How do you change your settings or setup a rule to block these unwanted messages? I know how to do this with my Hotmail account but can't find any instructions in this regard for the BlackBerry.
I'm struggling a problem with my hotmail mail account, and it seems that my blackberry touch 9800 got something like spyware. The problem is that someone uses my hotmail email account to spread spam mail with address book stored in hotmail system. The contents of spam mails sent with my account are different each other by each sending.
how to eliminate spam from reaching my inbox. The spam emails are eliminated from my PC and laptop by my security software, but constantly reappear in my Blackberry inbox.
