I seem unable to switch on keyboard lighting, so when I am typing I can see what I'm typing? Any suggestions.Anyway whilst trying to sort the is out I now have a green flashing light in the top right corner. It still flashes red when I have messages, but once I have read messages it flashes green. What is this and how do I turn it off?

When i turn the phone on there's no lighting behind the keypad, however the main lcd is fine. I've had the phone for about a year, normal wear and tear.My question is if it's possible to get the lighting back? will purchasing a new keypad get the lighting back or is it a main board issue?

I don't want the keyboard light to turn on when I'm using the device because it wastes battery. And my second and most important question is, why is the battery life so poor? My curve battery get's me through one day, and all I do is SMS, facebook, and IM. I don't use it 24/7 during the day either. I've had to charge it every night! View 3 Replies View RelatedI have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

To get rid of this you need to have only one keyboard ticked in settings, however there is no way to disable the LG keyboard that I can find, meaning the notification is always present.

After trying to update my C7 to the latest Symbian Anna software on my PC from OVI suite, the installation when halfway through suddenly stopped and would not complete. The handset now does not power on at all. You feel a vibrate when pressing the power button, but the phone does not boot. Tried taking battery off, re-installing but still no joy.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI took my Nokia E5-00 to unlock it.The display showed the normal screen you see, when the phone is locked.However there was a big black square right in the middle of the screen AND the phone wasn't reacting to inputs.It did not look like a failure of the display itself.Therefore I believed it might be a problem with the OS.Trying to solve it I removed the battery and installed it again a few minutes later.Since then I was not able to switch the phone on any more. It is just doing nothing. Whenever I switch the wifi on, it says that it is unable to turn the wifi on. I left the battery out for half an hour on THursday night which seems to have worked for a while, but the problem has manifested itself again. I have done a security wipe and re-installed the latest software.I somehow dont think that it's hardware related otherwise it wouldnt work, would it? My blackberry maps also dont work and it says that the GPS is unavailable. Can it have something to do with the Wifi?We have 3G where I live most of the time, but the Wifi is just so much faster using my broadband connection at home. I contacted bb support and have not received any assistance. My carrier seems to think that it's hardware related, but I dont think so.

View 9 Replies View RelatedA few days ago the battery completely discharged and the phone switched off so i recharged it but initially i couldn't turn it on, it kept vibrating but the screen remained black. After several attempts (startup screen appearing but shutting off) i got it to turn on but the touch screen wasn't responding, i couldn't unlock the keypad. I was beginning to think my phone was bricked but taking the battery out and reinserting it seems to have sorted things out. Now i'm reluctant to let the battery fully discharge in case it happens again and i can't recover the phone!
Is this a bug caused by the update? I've read of others having similar issues. Yesterday for a few hours i couldn't dl apps from the store which is why i ask as similarly others have had this issue since updating. My X10 came with the update but was fine up until then.
I have a querry. I am not able to switch on the bluetooth in my motorola defy.I have 2.2.2 froyo version of android.As I am not using much bluetooth I was unaware of its not working status.I dont have any idea since when bluetooth is not working in my phone.I probably guess it may have happened because i may have killed some application which resulted in deletion of bluetooth related core files.Also, In My Defy the bottom four buttons( Options, Home , Return , Search ), the return button shows no background light but the other 3 shows background light when it is under low light condition. Is it intentionally provided like this or this is a problem in my defy.

My problem is that my phone won't switch to landscape mode. When I take pictures, it won't turn over, and all other apps, even when I play games like Temple Run, it won't allow the character to move side to side. Â
I have checked to see if my phone's orientation lock is on, which it is not. I have done a hard reset which did not fix it. I also did a restore where I restored it completely and set it up as a new phone, and restored it and set it up with a backup.
I have just had a replacement handset, pearl 9105... everything is working fine but not my emails. I have had the activation notice saying they will start in a about 20mins, that was 12 hrs ago. Prior to the start of this problem I was able to open attachments from this individual. I am trying to open these email attachments through my AOL account on my Pearl. I am also unable to open these attachments when I logon to AOL with my laptop; they show up on the new mail list but when I open the email, no attachment shows up. Is this an AOL problem or a Blackberry problem?
