Sep 15, 2010I've recently imported a couple of .wma files into my Pearl 3G 9105. Although the files are listed , whenever i try to play them i get an error prompt "Error Playing: An error has occurred attempting to play media".

Jul 28, 2011I am unable to open attachments from one individual at a particular company, but I am able to open email attachments from other individuals at the same company. Prior to the start of this problem I was able to open attachments from this individual. I am trying to open these email attachments through my AOL account on my Pearl. I am also unable to open these attachments when I logon to AOL with my laptop; they show up on the new mail list but when I open the email, no attachment shows up. Is this an AOL problem or a Blackberry problem?

Jul 11, 2011I have recently upgraded my Pearl 3G 9100 from OS5 to OS6, and now I can't seem to decrypt my encrypted files for use on my computer. Under OS5, if I plugged the phone into the computer and engaged media transport mode, all the files that I copied onto the phone would be automatically encrypted and all the files that I copied off the phone would be automatically decrypted. I would also be given the option to have video files converted into a form the phone could play, Under OS6, when I connect the phone to the computer I get two options for data transfer, USB Drive and Media Sync, but neither of these modes seems to automatically decrypt files that I copy from my phone to my computer. All of the files that I have tried to copy off my phone under either mode are unviewable on the computer. Is there something I'm missing? If I can't find a way to accomplish the same automatic en/decryption and media conversion that was possible under OS5's media transport mode, under OS6 then I will have to downgrade back to OS5 again.

Apr 20, 2011how I can transfer ringtones to my Pearl 8220? I installed the BB Desktop Software, then updated to its latest version, but when I click "music" under "media sync" it simply says "a problem occurred while trying to connect to your BB device"?? My phone is connected via USB, and no it does not have a media card as I do not need one, the ringtone is like 1mb. Turning on/off mass storage mode does not change the problem. Another problem is I installed BB desktop software to a local drive, but after updating the software to its latest version in the program, the folder I installed it to just magically became empty?? The only file left is pool.bin, 1kb, whatever that is. I can still launch the program but just have no idea where it's actually installed...

Jun 25, 2011I have a Pearl 8130 and its been behaving well. However, for some reason yesterday I am now not able to open chats conversations as I always have. I see a new text msg in BBM and usually scroll to it and click the rollerball to open. Doesn't work anymore. I even tried the menu key and clicking Open Chat. Doesn't work either.

Nov 23, 2015Ok, to try and clarify...I have had all of the Samsung Galaxy S phones except the S5. I've moved all my photos & screen shots from them to my pc over time, generally via Kies or usb transfer. I've noticed that I have now got a huge number of .png files dated from about 2012 onwards that I can't open. Previous png files can be opened-they appear to be screenshots or the like. So I don't know what has happened. They can't be opened using any of the options on my pc. (I recently changed to Windows 10 from 8, but it was doing this prior to that) I can't re save them because they can't be opened, nor does changing the file name allow them to be opened.
I've also noticed that my current S6 makes all my screenshots .png files as well. The only way around this at the moment is to upload them to Google drive and change it to a jpeg file at the time. I have to do this for each shot one at a time. I'm assuming I can then move these across from Google drive as jpeg.
So, I need to know how to change the default on my S6 from .png to .jpeg for screen shots. How to change my previous .png files back to jpeg so I can open them! I have copied all of them to a usb stick and tried to open them on my work computer, but that also won't open them under any program. I realise that isn't an Android issue in itself, but as all of these images have come from my Galaxy S phones originally, I don't want to delete them without being able to see them as I might want to keep them...but without knowing what they are...

The technical person in my cellular provider said that the BB phone actualy does not support that type of files.
