View 4 RepliesI have a problem connecting my BlackBerry 8900 to a Sitecom WL-346 WiFi modem/router. I have created the WiFi profile on my phone, the connection get established, my phone get an IP address from the router (that is also a DHCP server) but I can't connect to internet. Also, if I try to ping the phone itself or the gateway (that is the router), the ping times out. I can't figure out which is the problem. From al of my devices (PCs, Wii) internet connection whit this router is OK.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow can I make WiFi connect automatically to my router why do I have to tell it to connect every time I can not see any auto settings Also seems to drop off after about 30 Min is this power save?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe main reason i bought the phone. Was because of a virtually non existent signal on the Orange network.(dropping calls etc).Anyway. To cut a long story short. It will find UMA.But takes an age to lock on.And sometimes when making /receiving calls i get cut off and my router crashes (loses internet connection)! If i go into my wifi settings in my phone (wifi diagnostics). Under UMA it says 'UMA connection failed'.But no 'error' code!!
I have checked my router setings and everything seems ok as it does on my phone.
But this morning i contacted AOL router support and they told me that it will not be the router but an issue with the phone!
While i am typing this.It has just found UMA (after approx 1 hour of trying) but if i make a call or receive one , i will more than likely be cut off.I forgot to mention that i have a 'speedtouch'(thompson) router. And am thinking of asking AOL for a 'Netgear'!Would this help?Although my laptop and xbox 360 run just fine via the speedtouch with no problems whatsoever
I have Blackberry curve 9380. Recently I purchased Digisol Broadband router model DG-BG4011N which I am using with BSNL Broadband connection. The trouble is I cant use this wifi connection on my Blackberry. My blackberry discovers this connection, asks for a passpharase and connects to wifi. It even displays on homesvreen as connected but stil I cannot use internet over wifi. Everytime when I access browser, App world etc, the connection being used is my mobile EDGE connection. When I try to use only wifi by disconnecting from Bsnl network, it will give me error. I contacted Digisol helpline, but they also could not help. I have tried changing security on my digisol interface from WPA only to WPA2 and to auto mode, but still cannot use internet over wifi on my Blackberry. Wifi works fine on my laptop. Also my blacberry works fine over wifi at a friends place.

I am entering the right address to log into the routers login page, trouble is all I'm getting is the following error message:The server returned the following error while attempting to fulfil your request: "Connection timed out"
I can get on the internet no problem, have even turned off my O2 network and just left my wireless network on and can still get on the web so know the router is letting me connect, have even tried to change the browser from BB to Firefox to IE but still no joy.
I have a blackberry 8520 curve and over the last couple of days have been unable to connect to the internet via my WiFi router
View 1 Replies View RelatedI am having trouble connecting my Blackberry Curve 8520 to my home router. I keep getting the message 'this wireless router supports wifi protected set up. To connect using a pin click next'. Having pressed next the message then reads 'provisioning wifi profiles. Enter this pin into your wireless router (and gives a number that changes each time)'. How do I enter a number into a router?? I didn't think this was possible .. and I have no way of entering numbers into my router.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy curve 9300 was working fine connecting to routers and enabling a wifi connection but has now started connecting to router says the connection name at the top but the wifi symbol stays grey. I know this is not a problem with my router as have tried it on different ones in different locations still same result.
View 1 Replies View RelatedBought a Curve from a freind and was going great but now its stopped making or recieving calls. He had an 02 sim in it and I'm on Vodaphone and had no probs when I first put my sim in. It just comes up with call failed when I try to call out and wont take incoming calls either. Theres no barring on the phone that I can see and I get internet with an excellent signal.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy 8900 turns on the red light when I pop the battery in, I press the power button and the screen turns on but just shows white. After letting it power on for a few minutes I call myself (by using a friends phone) and I can answer and talk.
I searched everywhere. The computer can read the PIN #, just in case though I wiped it and reloaded the OS. Bought a T6 screwdriver, took it apart, disconnected then reconnected the display cord then turned it back on and same old white screen.
I'm sitting at my desk and my wifi router is just a few feet from me. Despite the fact my iPhone 4S is connected, it only shows 3 bars of service. Is there something wrong with the wifi receiver on the phone?

I can't seem to get my iPhone 4s to exchange cookies with my Netgear CG3000D router/modem combo? My WiFi signal umbrella icon on the upper left corner keeps floating up and down and left and right. Every time I switch to a different page the connecting issue seems to repeat itself. How do I connect on a secure signal so my iPhone can function properly?

I have read in a lot of places that Blackerrys contain internet sharing. My question is that does it have to be a data connection or can you do it with WiFi? Like I have a computer that too far away and doesn't have an adapter and also try to connect it to my Xbox?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an 8900 curve. I purchased this in UK where I live but I'm currently in Saudi Arabia and use a pre-pay sim on the Mobily network. I am able to connect to WIfi at my hotel and at work but for some reason cannot access the internet via Wifi.
View 9 Replies View RelatedOk seriously... this is BS [exscuse my language] but this is my second Blackberry Curve 8900 and second battery and I've only had blackberry for 11 months. The first 8900 the battery started draining rapidly after 4-5 months and kept deleting everything on my microSD card. I had it replaced... now this second 8900 is doing the same thing. I've had the second 8900 for 4 months. I charged it all night, took it off the charger at 7am; by the time i was out of class it was red and going dead at 10am!
I do not have wifi on, no bluetooth... and also, it pings [like I've gotten a new text or email], the LED light will flash red but there won't be a message or missed call!
Anyone have this issue too? I am having it replace for the second time, this will be my 3rd blackberry 8900. If I have issues and problems again, I will have to say goodbye to blackberry. Even though I love everything about BB, the style, the keypad and so forth, I need something that won't die on me after 4-5 months!
Does wifi calling go against minutes used on the phone bill?
View 11 Replies View RelatedI was told that my blackberry can make calls via Wi-Fi if I didn't have network coverage but can get within a mobile network. I've seen people do this with their blackberry devices but with different carriers. Is this still possible? I called my carrier after I received the phone for assistance doing this and they denied the phone having that capability. Can someone please give me a straight answer and instructions on how to do this? Also, my device does not connect with the BB enterprise server. What do I need to do to have this service activated?

View 1 Replies View RelatedMy iPhone 4 (version 5.1.1) uses 3G unless I'm right on top of the router in my home. I've already exceeded my monthly data allowance because of this. i have an htc wildfire. managed to connect to any network but found a really big problem to connect to my girlfriends home router. the problem is nobody knows the password of the router there. i cannot reset it
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have changed my router; all my devices (2 x iPad, Blackberry, Samsung TV) have seen and remembered this as my new network and are working fine, however, my 2 x iPhones (1 x iPhone3, 1 iPhone4 both with ios5.1) will not 'remember' this new network. They see it fine and and I can login and use it fine, but I am asked for the password every time. I have reset networks, but couldn't 'forget this network' as the option is not available. This is strange and is frustrating me as I can't understand why all works fine on my brand-new iPad3s!

View 3 Replies View RelatedMy legend has connected to my router without any problems until the other day when BT had a problem and we were without phone line and router for 48 hours. When it came back, I was no longer able to connect with the Legend. My laptop connects wirelessly without a problem but I get the message: "obtaining IP Address.." and then it disconnects and tries again.
