I was told that my blackberry can make calls via Wi-Fi if I didn't have network coverage but can get within a mobile network. I've seen people do this with their blackberry devices but with different carriers. Is this still possible? I called my carrier after I received the phone for assistance doing this and they denied the phone having that capability. Can someone please give me a straight answer and instructions on how to do this? Also, my device does not connect with the BB enterprise server. What do I need to do to have this service activated?
So I received the new Fi Sim card as the one in my nexus 6 wasnt compatible with the Nexus 6p. Went through the activation etc and I receive calls on wifi but not make calls on wifi or cellular, data is brutally slow. Waiting to hear back from Google on this.
I have (accidentally) rec'd calls at 30,000 ft on a delta plane with my network option on wifi only and having logged on to Deltas onboard wifi. This led me to believe that it is possible to make and recieve calls anywhere in the world as long as I am in a hot spot.
I have contacted my carrier, T-mobile, and have rec'd mixed signals from them. I am about to depart for spain and was thinking as long as I set my phone to wifi only, I should be able to make, recieve calls and data without incurring any roaming charges since it is all data or VoIP via the web.
Does anyone know of a BB app that can be used to make free calls over my home wifi network? I thought the Google Voice/Google Talk apps would accomplish this but that does not seem to work.
i have no 3g signal in my trailer but i have wifi. if im on a call outside using 3g and enter my house the call drops. my friends lg phone automatically switches to the wifi and doesnt loose calls.
I just moves and the cellular service (ATT and Sprint) is very poor. I have ATT Uverse for Wifi. Can I use the Wifi to make calls rather than the cellular service? Any option other than a land line?
My Sony Xperia Z3 doesn't have service. It can only connect to WiFi. I've tried airplane mode, shutting it off, resetting the phone. I cannot receive incoming calls nor make calls.
I have a blackberry curve 9360, My friend calls my phone and I never get her call, her call goes straight to voice mail and my phone doesnt ring. But we can text each other. I also tried calling her 3 times, she has an iphone and her phone doesnt ring or show history of my call. Im pretty sure my call didnt go through.
I live in an area that has no ATT service or any other service yet I use an iphone 4 with ATT service. My husband uses a T-mobile Android and while neither of us receive any cell signal, when our WIFI is on, my husband can receive and make phone calls with his cell phone. I on the other hand have not been able to figure out how the iphone may be able function in a similar way.
Bought a Curve from a freind and was going great but now its stopped making or recieving calls. He had an 02 sim in it and I'm on Vodaphone and had no probs when I first put my sim in. It just comes up with call failed when I try to call out and wont take incoming calls either. Theres no barring on the phone that I can see and I get internet with an excellent signal.
I was on the phone with her, and she dropped it. It's a 3G Curve on Verizon I believe. And now when I call her it gives me a fast busy tone. She can text me, but she can't call me. She's done a battery pull, turned on and off airplane mode, turned on and off bedtime mode, nothing seems to be working.
receiving inbound calls but can't make outbound calls..! it just showing " disconnected " when ever i made an outbound call.............i had tried rebooting, battery was reinserted........but did't tried to re insert sim.........checked with FDN settings...more over signal strength is also good.
Every time i try to make a call, it doesn't dial, all i here is this loud noise. It sounds like the old dial-up tone that would come from computers. How do i stop this and just make regular phone calls?
I have a 8330 curve that was originally for sprint but unlocked to verizon. I have 37403473 bytes free before the battery pull and after replacement i have 38160293 bytes free after replacement. the applications i have are verizon backup assistant, BB core app, BB system software, BB app world, BB attachment service, japanese characters, korean characters, maps. BBM, simplified chinese, traditional chinese, brickbreaker, browser, documents to go, ethink memory, email setup, facebook, memo pad, myverizon, password keeper, phone and tasks.I do not know what a bt model/version is.
My problem is that I cannot make phone calls. my phone will say connected and the person's phone will ring but when the call is 'connected' neither one can hear the other. the only time i can make phone calls is after a battery replacement, if i have the phone plugged in i may be able to answer for up to an hour, but with it just sitting off the plug it may only be minutes. but it does not disconnect phone calls, i can be on the phone for an hour, without being plugged in and i can continue with the call.
i recently bought a new BB 8320 curve. Im having troubles making calls and sending sms to certain contacts in my address book, even if i have full network coverage the calls fail the only way i can make calls is by manually dialling the contacts phone number. I also am not receiving any sms or calls from contacts.
My phone keeps on printing uncaught exception Application Registry wait for (0x7c802477362c3985). I can't make any calls. If I want to call my screen is frozen but I can do anything else.
With my Curve, when I try to make an outgoing call and I get a busy signal like two beeps that repeat.I have tried everything and the only thing that worked was a security wipe, thus losing all my data. If I did a backup and restore, the problem returned. If I restored selectively through the BLackberry Desktop, database by database, the problem returned. Koodo Mobile and Blackberry escalated support was not able to figure this out.
BB Curve 8520 wont let me make calls or receive them. I get this message come up "Supplementary Service Error:General Error". What do I do its driving me barmy?
I cannot make phones calls from my contact list. When I try to do so it will tell me the number cannot be completed as dialed. I can manually type in the number and the contact name will come up. The call will go through then. However, even after a completed call, I cannot hit redial and complete the call again. I have to manually type it in each time. Is there a way to correct this?
I bought my Blackberry Curve 9360 brand new from a Vodafone shop about a month and a half ago and today when I woke up it wouldn't let me make/recieve calls or texts. i've rebooted it, taken the battery out and checked the mobile network connection and that i haven't blocked calls or put call fowarding on. Also in the top right hand corner the signal says full and 3G.
everytime i try and make a phone call it says "CALL FAILED please try again" and everytime i try and send a txt it has the red timer and keeps trying to resend till it says "retried exceded". Its drving me up the wall! i took it to the dealer and he said his was doing the same.
my blackberry curve 3G just cannot make or receive any phone calls today.people can ring my number, but my phone didn't show it and whenever someone calls me, it just pop up a msg saying what" uncaught exception applicationrfregistry.wait for (xxxxxx)" and sometimes it even say " what dead threat"Also, i can't even make phone calls. both the green and red button cannot be clicked.
