My 8520 BB... Since i was connected to a bluetooth device, my phone will always start any call at the handsfree profile, so that i always have to manually switch to the normal mobile profile, because there is no current bluetooth connection (bt is off).How can i switch the phone back to normal mode?

Mine was default settings which was medium & just a minute ago I didn't even noticed that my mom called (I was watching glee with the volume up loud & my phone right next to my laptop) SOOO. I was wondering how is yours set? Can you actually hear it while you are busy doing something that involves noise?
View 9 Replies View RelatedLast night out of nowhere, I started receiving texts with a different ringtone than I usually do. When I went into the sound profiles (I have mine at "normal"), the old settings were still applied, however, when I checked out my contacts, they had all been set to another tone. I usually have them set at "gung **" but all my contacts had been changed to "sanguine".When checking the ringtone for my calls, I noticed that all my contacts had been changed to "classic ringtone" when the sound profile I had my phone on had a custom ringtone.
I don't mind that the texts ring a different sound but I really can't stand the classic ringtone sound so I wanted to know if anyone can help me with this? My phone seems to be working find except for that part. I tried a battery pull already..no help. I read somewhere that I might have to delete all my contacts and put them in again with custom tones for each person, but that seems like a huge waste of time. Help, please!

I ask because owning a previous curve(8320) as you know came preloaded with at least 4-5 themes. Now i'm rockin' a t-mobile 8520 with 1 preloaded theme. Not cool and i don't have the data plan at the moment ( i know useless bb), but having financial difficulties. Any way to download themes on pc then maybe to the 8520?

The apps I have are twitter and facebook. I have 137532864bytes for my file free. Is that a lot of memory/space? Should I get a bigger memory card?

But now I don't want the alarm anymore.The only option I have in this BB in the clock tab is Weekdays ON / OFF [blue in color in the centre of the clock].I do not have any third option of OFF, irrespective of weekdays/weekends.But it still rings sometimes though being OFF for the weekdays & the alarm time in red still shows & the tiny alarm/clock icon even shows on the desktop.
I've done options of keeping the alarm silent & all that. But it does vibrate sometimes. Sometimes the icon disappears & it comes back automatically.How do I DISABLE this alarm?? Just off it types, like we do in other phones!

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have setup and used a SIP profile through the advanced VOIP settings etc.However once a net call is made, the profile registers with the ITSP, but then stays linked whilst the E72 is within range of one of the WiFi access points.Is there any way of manually disabling the profile so it disconnects from SIP until another call is started?

However I am due to go on holiday and due to the cost of getting data in a foreign country would like to totally disable the GPRS data, as not to incur a huge bill. I would however like to still be able to access internet, Via WI-Fi, when in a free wifi hotspot or something running off wifi (hotel internet at 1 euro a hour etc)
I have tried this at home on my home router with what I think is GPRS off, wifi enabled, and it informs me I need GPRS on to access WIFI. Being a coms engineer, I can’t understand in anyway shape or form how one is dependant on the other, being they are totally different protocols.
I have a 8530 Blackberry Curve that the firewall security is enabled and locked. I can wipe my Blackberry using JL Commander and get it to go away, but once plug it back into my Blackberry Internet Desktop Software, it locks it again. I have removed the blackberry desktop 3 times now and reinstalled it and still the same problem.I even went as far as doing a regedit and removed all blackberry information in that. I am stumped on this one. All I can figure is there is something in my desktop computer that is putting the security back on. Again, this is a personal blackberry being used on a personal computer.

Got a problem with my 5800 - just today, the touch screen has started being odd. It sometimes works perfectly but then i try and press a button on the left hand side of the screen and it chooses the one at the right-hand side. This obviously makes everything very difficult! Any ideas as to why this might be/how I could repair it? I've tried the touch screen calibration about 10 times, it sorts it out for about a minute.I can send it to Nokia to replace but I could really do without sending my phone away

I set up blackberry in my company and I wonder if this device is set to enterprise activation instead of other activations. I called my carrier o2 but the weren't helpful and said it was because I was on the wrong tariff and didn't have an o2 email address. I've wiped the device could updating the software out this back? I had a Blackberry Curve 8520 that was stolen yesterday. My service provider told me that they will only be able to shut down the line, nothing else. Is there a way to disable the phone? It would be nice if I could make sure no one can even turn it on, or at least make sure it can no longer be used on any service provider.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI recently bought my Blackberry 8520 pay as you go with T Mobile.I topped up 10£ to start off with in order to register my personal email, which worked fine.T-Mobile offers price boosters which enable you to go on the internet and use apps email etc unlimited for a certain period of time.However a while ago, after I updated my phone via desktop manager I suddenly saw that my email account on blackberry was no longer registered. And I could only register enterprise email. For some reason I then wiped completely my handset. But other than deleting everything it didnt help solve my email and app problem which were no longer in my phone.Question is, does blackberry disable to use your apps and email once youre out of credit & booster is ended? Even though I'm connected to wifi at home.Also gprs is no longer GPRS in capital letters but in small letters now.
