IM receiving my text messages , but I don't have any notification,so I don't know I have them, also the only way I can find a text is to click on my contact and and press view only then can I see it?

I can see who they are from and the first line of the message. When I return to the main text window however, the new texts are nowhere to be found, they have disappeared.
This is pretty frustrating--were they just glitchy re-sends of previous texts? Should I text the people who sent them and say, hey, did you send me a text today, because if you did, it disappeared?...

I am having a problem with Blackberry messenger on my handset where the text box at the bottom of the screen goes blank where you type and I can't see the text I have written. And orange customer services are near enough useless and have told me to ask here about this problem.Also sometimes the cursor moves and no text is written while typing.I have un-installed the application and re-installed it with no help and performed about 10 hand held wipes.Please can someone give me the solution to this problem before I take a hammer to this phone.

BBM was installled but now it's nowhere to be found. He went to App World and it states that it's installed. Searched all files especially Applications where it used to be ,it's not there. Not in downloads either.
