BB Curve :: Battery Isn't With Standing More Than 7 Hrs?
Mar 28, 2012
i have a curve 9300,the problem m facing is my battery isn't with standing more than 7 hrs!!!even i cahrge fully it gets draind with 6 or 7 hrs,,,i replaced with a new battery still d problem occurs
I gave my sister my old curve its about 1 1/2 yrs old. the day i gave it to her the phone worked just fine but after she flew back home the battery would only last her a few minutes. i told her to try a new battery but it still has not changed anything. i even got her to upgrade to 5.0 just to see if it would make any difference but it doesnt.
she barely uses any apps, and mostly uses the phone for emailing.on standby it will every 10minutes or so the battery life will go down by 10%, and after a few texts or a minute or two on a call the phone will just die. she can pretty much just use it when its connected to a power source.Seems like a phone issue but there is no warranty on it
My battrery has been running low quickly . For instance, I charged it yesterday and when it was done charging I made a phone call. I was on the phone for about 11/2 minutes. After I got off I looked at my battery and it was down 1/2 a brick. I've tried removing the battery for awhile, but it doesn't seem to help. I talk on it a lot through the day so I can understand it needing charged at night, but 1 minute off the charger and it's already losing power? I don't use the internet that much, but I do play games. The phone is about a month old. Any advice?
Okay, so I'm on the move a lot, travelling to and from University each day which can take anywhere between 1-2 hours getting there and getting back. I'm always on my phone during travelling as there isb't much else to do and I like to keep in touch with friends. I use Facebook and the internet a lot on their and I understand this is why my battery runs down so quick. Using it for I'd say 3 or so hours and the battery is done, I usually take my usb cable to uni so I can charge it ready for the journey home. Is there anyway I can get the same usage out of it and not drain the battery so much? I am thinking of getting a new battery first off as I'd say the current one would not be able to achieve good life againt, but is there long lasting batteries I can get?
I have a blackberry 8520, I have had it for about 2 months now. My blackberry battery gets really hot than within the hour the battery dies. This happens randomly. First time it happened to me I was in a movie theatre and had the phone on silent. The second time it happened I was wearing it on my belt clip and had it on loud. I do not keep any apps running and usually only use the phone for txts and email. My fiancee bought his blackberry curve 8520 the same day and he has the same problem. My blackberry is updated with the latest software. Any one else have this same issue?
I've had my BB Curve for about a year and a half now. Last night, I went to charge my BB after the battery had drained to find on the screen a drained battery icon with a red cross/line through it. I had reloaded the set up on my phone and it still does not work and it seems that the white loading bar under the icon still loads after it has appeared and stops at around 75%.Will a new battery fix this?As I have said, I have reloaded and wiped everything on my phone and I have also tried the 'take out the battery while it's charged, put it back in method', nothing happened.
I’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 4.2.0.108), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., I’ve noticed that I’m down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and rec’d two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
I’ve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of “turn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,” but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.
No Browser is running and I dont have any apps. I was on the phone for 15 min and my battery was half dead when I got off. Was never like that before. I've had this phone for almost 2 years. The same thing is happening with the rest of my families Blackberrys. Why is this?
I am experiencing very frustrating battery issues on my BB Curve 9300. I bought the device a month ago and had a brand new battery installed in no later than yesterday.Battery life is about 3 to 5 hours at the very best, whilst I am not using any specific 3rd party application. In addition, the "clock" apprears on a very frequent basis, slowing the system dramatically.I do not have any files saved on the media card ... Wi-fi has been disabled already as have Bluetooth. LAt, connection the mobile network is fine so I do not believe it has to do with the device desperately seeking connection.PS: I am based in France with SFR being my provider.
I have a problem with my 8520 curve battery. It keeps getting hot and won't charge properly. Phone is just over a year old. Should I buy a new battery, or should these be replaced by Blackberry?
The battery is showing on my phone with a red x through it, i used my phone last nigh and it was fine but this morning it is showing a red x on the battery and its not coming on
My phone keeps saying the battery is too low for radio use, even when it's still got half a bar of battery. Then it suddenly jumps to orange battery and then to red within a minute.
my blackberry 9300 used to last me 2 days with low usage and 1 day with heavy usage. that's the way it has been for about a year and a half and i would always charge it all night anyway regardless of how much i use it. about a month ago, i was watching a video on Internet using the 3g network and suddenly it beeped and said "battery drained, shutting down handheld." there was no battery low warnings or anything, the battery said it was half full at the point. i didn't think much of it, i did a battery pull to get it to turn on again and it was fine for the rest of the day.it kept doing the same thing though, everytime i would watch videos or listen to any type of music. i would literally take it off the charger after a full night of charging and then watch a video on the wifi, 2 minutes into the video or after only one song it would tell my the battery is drained and shuts the phone down even though i apparantly have full battery. the only way to get it to turn on again is if i did a battery pull.well then i thought, ok then, so it only does this with videos and music. it never used, but it does now. but as time progressed, even when i didn't touch vidoes or music and am doing normal non-battery taxing things like texting and phoning people it would do the same. many times i've been in the middle of a call and it would turn off and leave me stranded.sometimes when i reset it, it goes back to normal and it stays on for a while after and sometimes it just turns straight back off again.
lately my bb will just restart itself in the middle of a function - my online banking, sending a text, etc., and then when it comes back on, it has zero battery - like where i get the message that the battery is too low for radio use. how can i stop this? or does this mean i need a new battery?its happened about 4 of the last 14 days. i checked to make sure my software was current, and made sure i wasnt overloaded with too many things saved on my bb.
my blackberry all of a sudden went blank and wouldnt turn back on, so i plugged it in to charge and have a red light for about 10 seconds then it goes off and I get a battery symbol with a red cross through it.
My Blackberry curve 9360 got water damage a little while ago, and I had to get a brandnew battery and ever since I have put the battery in the only thing that comes up is an empty battery with an red X thru it. I have charged it for more than 8 hours and nothing has changed.
I have blackberry curve 8310 and it has not been used for a little while. I just recently decided that I wanted to use it again however when I plugged it in i am getting a symbol of a battery with a red slash through it??? It has now been plugged in for a few hours but nothing has changed
I have a curve 8900 that shows a red x on the battery icon when loading the battery does not charge and the phone does not come on even after changing that battery, cleaning out the ports. i just won't turn on. has anyone encounterd that problem before?

I have an 8900 and my battery lasts about 15-20 hours even though the phone is in standby mode for most of the time. Is this normal? How long does yours last? No WiFi or Bluetooth on all the time, rarely WiFi.
my battery on the BB 8900 drops really quickly.I have the fone from about half year, and everything was normal until recently starts to drop so fast without any reason.i charge the fone in the morning and in the evening there is the red battery symbol-which doesnt allow any network conections at all.I dont think there is running any appl in the background. How can I check that to be 100% sure?i dont use wi-fi and bluethoth ,and i get a few emails and fone calls,i dont use more then 10-15 min internet a day.
so could you tell me what can I do to maximize the life of the battery? to extend it?is there any app i can use or sth else plz? if you could recommend me some battery saving tools?
i have a Curve 8320 and since OS 4.5 the msg "battery too low to use the radio" appear but with 5% of battery but now im getting that msg with 15% since a couple of days ago :s i have the Radio On app but is annoing, it is normal?
I purchased a replacement D-X1 battery for my 8900 Curve yesterday. When I removed it from the box I noticed that instead of a series of English numbers and letters against the Lot Code there were 2 Chinese letters / symbols. Can anyone advise if this means if I have been had and it is not a genuine battery?
