BB Curve :: Video Camera Doesn't Work - Failed To Start Recording
Jun 7, 2012
i am unable to record videos, when ever i try to i get the error " failed to start recording". i can also play none of the videos and Internet videos doest work too.
As I mentioned video camera doesn't work, there appears something strange picture.. It records, but when playing this record the same strange picture. But photo works, I can take a photo.
Maybe problem with the firmware. I think camera itself works OK.
The folder icon has a little red dot in the bottom left hand corner. When I try to take a video, it says that the video can't be saved- when one hasn't been taken yet. Also the read line (when your recording a video) looks like you have- it is all the way full to the right... ? It has happened on my last Bold, but I can't remember how I fixed it. Also the voice notes work sometimes, you hit the stop button , and it doesn't stop, nor send :?
i believe i found a bug with 3.1. videocamera pauses while video recording when a live paper is being used when wallpaper is just a picture than it works properly.
My problem is in the video recording mode..when i'm in the middle of recording, the motion in the screen moves slowly for about half a second..and sometimes it stucks before it went back normal and then again stuck...i'm terribly angry when i'm recording the precious moment of my child's first step walking...i'm using the high quality setting and when i used the normal setting, the problem is gone but the picture is not good as the high quality setting.......
When recording video using the back camera on snapchat the recording is extremely laggy beyond being watchable and the processed video is still laggy and the quality is significantly lower than the display. This is using the standard video quality in the snapchat settings although the lag remains even on lower quality settings. The front facing 'selfie' camera however is fine. This issue only occurrs using snapchat, recording with the back camera on the default camera app on the htc one is fine so is this an issue on snapchat's part or is something wrong with my camera?
The sound on my iphone video camera is not working. I have used it before and it was OK. I shot an hour's worth of clips during which I tested and heard the sound being recorded. When I went to upload it to my computer, there was no sound. Pics are good. Looking at the original clips still on my iphone, and there's no sound. I tried to record another video clip as a test and it has no sound. Is there a setting for sound which I am missing or is there something wrong with the microphone.
That's one problem with my cam: when recording video on flash card there are some delays in picture changing and the image become smooth and then divide into squares?how can i solve this bug?ps: everything is ok when i record on the phone memory!
I am having two problems with Nokia Camera on my Icon. When recording a video in Nokia Camera. I have found that it isn't recording sound. When recording a video in Nokia Camera, it takes about 5 seconds after hitting the record button for it to actually start recording.
I am not sure how to replicate the issue because it has only happened a few times and it will fix itself by restarting the phone.
When it does happen it will happen every time I record a video through Nokia Camera until a reboot. I at least now figured out that if I hit record and there is a delay between it actually starting to record, then the sound will not be recorded so a restart is necessary.
I can still record through the WP camera app and audio will be recorded, but this is a huge problem for me. I have about 5 videos that I have taken in the past week that were actually pretty important that have no sound now.
I uninstalled Nokia Camera and reinstalled and it still did it. Is this a Nokia Camera bug or an Icon bug?
I just bought a SAmsung galaxy S 6 smartphone. While I am recording a video i cannot by any means change the camera to front facing. There is no option no icon only the capture icon on the left (in order to capture in a pic what i am shooting at the moment), the square icon to stop the video and the pause icon on the right corner.
When open the 60 FPS video recording option, the camera app easily crash when switching the function option (such as switch from video to picture). is it the hardware problem or the software problem?
I am a blackberry developer working on a recording software. Just did an OS upgrade on my 9800 when I saw an upgrade alert on BlackBerry Desktop Software. The OS after upgrade is 6.0 bundle 2342 (v6.0.0.526 platform 6.6.0.195)Now when I run my application to do the voice record (WAV format, not AMR ), I keep getting an error "Requested bitrate is not supported", I tried different bitrate (8000,16000, 44100, 48000....), none of them supported.I used to use bitrate=8000 for recording and it worked, but now it throw above exception.I even change encoding bit from 16 to 8bit, channel from 1 to 2, didn't work.
I have a problem since yesterday, i tried to update my nokia e52 firmware, but i do a mistake, when de nokia software updater gives me what are the firmware upda available i didn't notice that is the same version and let him to update. After the update is completed, my camera doesn´t start anymore, i already tried to do a soft reset and a hard reset but my problem remains.
My phone has the following software: Firmware Version: 022.009 Model: E52-1 Type: RM-469
Playing around with the slowmo video and I noticed that during playback, the slow motion doesn't start until like 3-4 seconds into the video. Is this normal?
reduce the audio recording level for video shoots?Cause if its just a little loud, the whole soundtrack gets distorted.Another nice one would be if we could get the noise cancellation mic thats next to the headphone plug to record a second audio track, making it stereo..
I have noticed that on the video camera you can not zoom in before you start taping. Some of my friends have noticed this too. I was wondering if we are going crazy and you couldnt zoom on froyo either or if you could zoom on froyo and if there is a fix for it.
Yea i was updating firmware and my phone restarted on the Ovi suit seed that it's normal but it didn't turn back on it just flashes the buttons and thats all few seconds later it turns of.

I have a Nokia E55 and two days ago I have made a software update to the latest software (version 033.002 dated 10.02.2010) released by Nokia.Since that time I have found that the phone camera doesn't want to start anymore. Does anybody else has encountered such a problem? Is there any code to check if the camera still works or shall I go to a Nokia service?
The camera doesn't work. I open the camera application with both methods (button on side and icon in apps) but it does the red dot thing in the corner for about 4-6 seconds then disappears and applications tells me the app is running. I try to go to the app but it wont go on it.
Problem 2:
The green key, dialler and contacts icon on the home screen do not work at all. I have no way of opening my dialler as there is no option for it.
I updated my firmware to v40.0.005 last week. Please be aware the problems were both there BEFORE i made the update and are still here after the update. Is there any way of doing this without soft/hard resetting. Also, does soft/hard reset mean you lose the data in an app (eg your high scores in a game like bagatelle)?
I have a Nokia Lumia 1020. When I plug in my phone to charge it turns on my camera. And the camera button which is the last button on the left doesn't turn on my camera. What's wrong or how to fix it...
I have the Blackberry Curve andthe subject pretty much explains it. I used to be able to create videos with no problem. A few months ago it started acting up. When I switch to the video camera everything is fine, but as soon as I hit the start recording button it immediately freezes up. The red light starts flashing and the only way to resolve is by battery pull reset.
I already installed Camera Extras app on my Lumia 800, but when I try to use one of its features the camera format switch automatically to 4:3 format. Is anybody who knows about this bug ?
I was at a party and used my phone for a few minutes 4 hours ago and there was no problem. Battery was 78%. After a while I realized my phone was not turning on. After coming back home I connected it to the wall charger and the light is blinking red. When I hold the start button there is a red light constantly but it won't turn on. Holding volume up and start button also doesn't work and there is no vibration. I tried the yellow reset button near the SIM tray and that didn't work either. My phone had a 16 GB built in memory which was pretty used up (It kept telling me transfer to SD card since memory was above 75%). I was going to buy a microSD card for it but now this happened. Is there something I can do to fix my phone?Â
I Just Installed BlackBerry Desktop Manager V5.01 and it wouldn't pick up my phone even though it's connected. I tried accessing the the BlackBerry Device Manager and it says 'The application has failed to start because XmlLite.dll was not found. Re-Installing the application may fix this problem.' - Of which I have done twice already. Is there a problem with this version of Desktop manager or any resolutions to fix this? I'm trying to upgrade my device to OS6.
