I press the A key and get a message "Keypad is locked. Press the Mute button to unlock". The keypad remains locked, even in my pocket. However, I recently purchased a leather pouch to protect the phone and as soon as I start to push the phone into the case it unlocks. I have removed the battery and done a reboot to no avail. Paid £20 so don't want to abandon it yet.
My wife has just started using a Curve 8520 and has had it for less than 1 month. In the past few days, they phone has started unlocking itself randomly. She's using the 'A' button to lock the keypad at which point the screen goes off (as I believe it should) and then after a minute or so, it unlocks itself and the screen comes back on.
I keypad lock my bold 9780 phone and the screen goes dark, as it should, and the keys are locked. Then after about 30 seconds the phone unlocks itself and the screen turns on.
My wife has a Blackberry Curve 9300 on O2 in the UK. My wife locks the phone, tests that it is locked ok, which it is. Then she puts it in her handbag. She'll then take it out a bit later, and the phone will be unlocked, sometimes with something open. How can this happen? The only way of unlocking it is using the unlock button on the top of the device, which isn't easy, even when you're trying to.
I was just wondering why my Nokia N97 mini has a QWERTZ keypad and not a QWERTY keypad. It's a RM-555. I don't understand, the Y and Z keys have swapped places, doesn't make sense to me!
I'm experiencing an issue with my screen unlocking during Bluetooth calls. I keep my HTC One in my pocket and when a Bluetooth call is initiated from my Bluetooth kit in my car, the screen unlocks and stays on. When the call is finished the screen stays on and I'm having an issue with "buttons" being pressed and starting texts, dialing people, etc.
I've also found that if I lock the phone after the call is initiated, the phone is again unlocked when the call is ended. I'm using one of the built-in lockscreens without a passcode. Is this how the phone is supposed to function? If so, any workarounds or apps to resolve this?
I don't know if this is a tattoo specific issue, or an android issue. When the phone is locked the "normal" way to unlock it is to slide down the screen with your finger, the problem is that it also unlocks just by pressing the menu key. No need to do anything else.A frequent situation: make a call, lock the phone, and put it inside a bag (hand bag). In this case it's extremely easy for the phone to call anyone in your list of recent calls. It's happened to me a few times already. The unlock procedure should be clear: you need to drag your finger down the screen.
Got a strange little problem where sporadically my phone seems to unlock to a different screen than what I locked it on.
For example if I have been scrolling down a web page and gone past an article but not clicked on it, locked my phone and then unlocked it a few minutes later and it has that article open like I have clicked it.
I know people may think I've clicked it by accident and then locked my phone but I can assure you this is not the case.
I am trying to track when it happens and it does appear to be mainly when I'm on the browser.
Alright I have a Droid RAZR, It just sits on my bed until Sandisk Releases the High speed microSD card for it, in a week or so. I cannot install the larger apps, and hence cannot use it. Now I keep it charged, and it just sits there with no service, but on. Now for the last day or two, the screen comes on and brings up the lock screen, like I pressed the unlock button, all by itself, then it turns off again, now wifi and all data connections are off, it just sits there. It does it if I had to guess 3-5 times an hour, but possibly more. And when I got home today, it was FLAT dead, plugging in the usb cord to the computer wasn't enough, I had to plug it into the wall (genuine charger) Let me know if you need any additional info
I have a Blackberry Torch 9860 which has just started a problem with unlocking, you lock it on the top of handet and within seconds it unlocks itself again, is there a way of stopping it from unlocking the keypad? it always used to be ok until today
I have recently upgraded from a 9650 to a 9930. Everything is fine except that when I have the device locked (via the new, inconveniently placed lock button) and plug in a power cable the phone unlocks. How do I disable this? Maybe I am the only one who is annoyed by this but what is the point of a button that locks the phone until you unlock it if other things can unlock it. It wouldn't be a problem if not for the touchscreen which I always seem to be pressing at the time I plug it in.
I recently updated my bold 9700 using the computer desktop software. ever since, my phone unlocks by its self as well as lights up every 2 mins. This in turn makes my battery die within an hour. I have tried a hard-reset as well as restoring my phone using the desktop software.
When the screen is locked and i receive a notification from Whatsapp the lockscreen starts to go up and down as I'm swiping it, it DOESN'T happens every time, it's like 1/5.
Today it went further, it unlocked the screen and messed around by itself until stops at Skype, I'm really disappointed right now afraid of it get worse, this is a hardware problem?
after updating to belle, it is difficult to unlock/lock using the trigger.Suppose if the phone is locked, when the trigger i locking pulled, it unlocks for a second and gets locked again.
I have a blackberry 8520, i have used it for about a year and there are problem in the same.Keypad is not working , wrong key press happening. my blackberry 8520 is still facing problems with the keyboard, it is gettin rather annoyin and i would relli like to get it sorted, some of my keys have stopped working and i do not know why, i hvae tried everythin to try and make them work but nothing is working, i have even taken out the battery while the phone is will ON and it still wont work
I got a bit of water in my phone a few days ago and since some buttons on my keypad haven't been working. The following button's haven't been working: Y, U, H, J, B, N
My phone keeps emailing and calling random people from my contacts, because I am carrying it in my back pocket. The phone is very easily unlocked accidentally as the unlock button sits on top of it, sticking out of the holster. I have even tried placing it upward down into the holster but it still easily unlocks through the holster.
What is the most efficient way to keep the the device locked for back pocket storage? I could set up a password, but as the number of bad password inputs is obviously limited, I also do not want to have accidental password input.
Is there a way to deactivate the unlock button on top and use a key combination instead? Or anything else?
My phone was working fine and then I woke up to not being able to use the track pad and keyboard. It was stuck on password sign in and when I plugged the phone in woke automatically go to bedside mode.
