Jul 6, 2010When I use the shortcut lock, my phone locks the keypad, but instead i want it to be the password lock. I used my dad's phone and tried his shortcut lock and it works on his phone. what do i do to lock my phone using the password lock?

May 27, 2012My trackpack keeps freezing whenever I lock my phone or it locks itself. I have tried a battery pull and it just makes it worse. Whenever I'm outiside it will go everywhere and won't let me text, BBM, or e-mail it will keep scrolling to the top, then when I go inside it will freeze and won't let me do anything.

From my previous software, it was named Keyboard Lock and I set it as one of my convenience keys. After the update, I noticed that it no longer existed. A friend of mine purchased a brand new Curve 8520 with the update already installed of course. She had the Keyboard Lock but it was named Password Lock instead. Aug 21, 2010I have my 8530 set to lock after 5 minutes. Once the five minutes is up, it will lock (allowing me to put in my password). However, when I press and hold the A key, a message comes up on the screen saying
"Keypad is locked. Press the Mute button to unlock". so all i have to do is press the mute button, the phone isn't actually password locked.

Oct 15, 2013Ahhh, I was about to go to sleep last night and turned my phone off. This morning I turn it on to a different (and icky) lock screen.
I now have a padlock in a circle at the bottom of my screen, which I must swipe to an open padlock to get to the part where I draw my pattern to unlock.
I much preferred my olf lock screen where my little padlock as nestled in between the four icons I choose and I swiped up to unlock.

Download Nokia PC Suite first (the updated one) from site below ... Or if you already have it on your computer go to control panel click on add and remove then Nokia PC Suite it will ask you to install or repair click on repair and that will give you the updated version ...the only way you can remove phone lock is to update your Nokia E71s software ..But make sure you BACKUP your phone before hand or you will delete everything ..open Nokia PC Suite then click on update software takes about 15min but well worth it,you can also download the games the phone originally came with ... Solitaire etc from this site

I can't unlock it by double tapping the screen either. When I plug it in to my computer it isn't recognized by the "windows phone app" for desktop, but it turns the screen on so I can use it for a bit. I can't turn it off and then plug it in because it always turns back on, and sometimes I can't regular turn it off, I have to hold the down volume button and the lock button to hard restart it.
