My problem is with my Blackberry 3G 9300...Most of my pictures cannot be opened.the ones that cannot be opened have a file extention ending in .rem(for example IMG10122012.jpg.rem)I don't ever connect my phone to a PC or any other device...I have been told that it is a cause of encryption. I have since then put the encryption off but nothing seems to work...I even created new folders directly on device to try and transfer from Media Card to Device but this message appears:'error decrypting header'If I put the encryption back on and try to rename nothing happens... nothing I do will convert my pictures back to its orginal format ( .jpg)..
I just updated my Blackberry Curve, and it now displays.. (Mobile) next to people's names in my name display header in the Messages application. I find it uneccessary especially since all SMS/MMS are through Mobile numbers anyways, is there anyway to disable this?
Error transferring files from pc to blackberry using my usb cable. Whilst copying it always stops and cancels, saying there's an error and files cannot be copied. and its as though it autorun's the phone again. The autorun menu pops back up. I am getting frustrated because everytime i'm backing up, it does this. It is often with the bigger files or copying many files at once?
I just downloaded the desktop manager for my new windows 7 machine - I use outlook. When I try to configure my data files. an error message tells me it "cannot locate message stores" Does any know where my outlook data exists in the windows 7 world? I cannot locate it.
I am using 8900 curve. Whenever I play any media like audio, video, sometimes it is working fine but randomly it is popping up with the error "error when attempted play xyz which is quite unpredictable." I even update the software using desktop manager !
after the apple encryption stories I also wanted to take the step and encrypt my S6 running 5.0.2 stock(just rooted via ping pong root, no other modifications). Searched already here if there are problems with encryption + stock root, found a thread saying it works fine.
Now started encryption 2 hours ago, still having a screen like this URL... and phone is cold, so Im guessing its stuck there. Can I do anything in order to not lose my data?
I'm on latest M version, latest TWRP, systemless root and Despair kernel 3.1.
When I first installed TWRP it couldn't decrypt partitions, so I had to install a kernel that disables force encrypt and factory reset the phone. So I ended up with un-encrypted partitions.
Now, TWRP supports decryption so I thought to encrypt the partitions. I went to Security -> Encrypt phone. This has been hanging on Android animation logo for 2.5hrs and no indication when it will finish.
When I start the update service(seus) i get the following error:"An error has occurred. See the log file c:program files(x86)Sony ericssonupdate serviceworkspace.metadata.log." <ok> I have uninstalled seus as pc companion, rebooted, downloaded the newest seus and installed it and rebooted but i still get the error. The .log file:
im developing a application in which i want to download a large file in to chunks n play them chunck by chunk but im able to play first file only remaining files are not getting played i think its because of missing header file in remaining chunk?
Everytime a new email comes through there is a header that displays for 5 seconds with the subject line and who it is from, myold storm 2 never did this. I have looked everywhere in the options settings to stop it, anyone know how to?
When I open albums on my 3G phone now suddenly the header "albums" keep appearing in front of my film roll. This means I cannot get to these photos. I just downloaded the latest update of the iphone.
I just got a new 9930 from Verizon, and am looking for an Option to display messages in the inbox one line at a time. I found a document under docs.blackberry.com that said this can be set under Options / Display Message Header On. However, I don't see this option on my Blackberry. I have a 9930 running 7.1.0.
When I attempt to do OTA with any JAD file I get an error on my phone. The item you selected cannot be displayed. Do you wish to save this file on the media card? if I click No, it says: Unsupported media type: jad if I click yes, it just downloads a very small file and won't let me open it -- its not the full .JAD file anyway, only about 3kb. But what could be wrong?
I have a bunch of pictures and videos that I'm trying to transfer to this S5 and it's just giving me errors whatever way I try. I've tried moving all of them from my pc to the phone through usb and it will transfer some of them and then just stop partially through like it's frozen. I've tried sending them straight to the microsd card in the phone, and also tried transferring them to the internal storage and both methods had the same result. Then I tried instead to compress all the files into a .rar and then transfer but that method hasn't worked either.
The loading bar will appear as usual and when it gets almost completed it gives an error saying something along the lines of "cannot copy file because device has been disconnected or stopped responding". I used to be able to transfer files to this phone all the time until just yesterday so what can be causing this problem. This is the same phone, and pc that I've been using for a while now, the only thing different is now there's a different sims card and microsd card in the phone, but I don't figure that has anything to do with the connection problem it seems to be having?
Each time I am sending an file from my PC to my Torch, the phone suddenly restarts and have to load all the standard things again (like battery pull). Why is it restarting when sending a file to the phone. I upgraded a week ago.. 6.0 bundle 2475 (v6.0.0.546, platform 6.6.0.207).
There are a number of 'error download' files on my downloads page of itunes store that i would like to cancel. but how?! i cannot have itunes on any other devices.
I have 8 applications on my Nokia N97 Mini that I cannot delete. When I click on them the file just flashes, and when i try to delete them the phone says it cant as they are a "corrupted file".I tried, soft reset, hard reset (factory reset) and it doesn't help, the files are still there! All I can do with them is move them around different folders. Also when using application manager it doesn't find them, so I cant even delete using that! Please can someone help?
I Have A Big Question... I Been Blogging My Life For The Past Few Weeks.I Been Using A BlackBerry 9700 For Few Months. But, When I want To Upload A Video To FaceBook Or Other Site, It Said That My File Is Too Big...There Is A Good App For Me To Upload My Videos, Or There Is A Setting On My Berry That Can Help Me With My Videos..
The memory on my phone's memory card was almost full. So, one day, I decided to copy some files from my phone to my computer. I connected my phone to my computer with a usb cabe, and my pc was able to detect the memory card and open files. However, whenever I try to copy files onto my pc, it gets 3/4 of the way completed copying and then the error message for an I/O error appears. Sometimes, it also says "the wrong diskette is in the drive".So then, I tried taking my memory card out of my phone (micro sd card) and plugged it into my computer (which has a built-in micro sd card port) and for some reason, it isn't able to detect the card and all of my pc's disk drives "disconnect" and I can't see them in "My Computer". I have to restart to get the ports working again.Flash Drives and other SD cards work, just not my phone's.So in conclusion, some problem with my phone or computer is causing an error that doesn't allow me to copy/move files. (I am running windows vista and my phone is the Samsung Memoir btw) Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.
cannot copy file The volume for a file has been externally altered so that the opened file is no longer valid i hav actually grown tired of trying to find solution to this problem, however, if there's a designated software for moving files from pc to flash drive i'd try and use it, and maybe I'll avoid that problem.
I find that some AC3 formatted files can be played while others give me an error about needing an AC3 filter. I find this generally on the higher bitrate videos. For example one is ac3 @ 192k and it plays just fine while another is 640k and says i need an ac3 filter. to play any obviously ffdshow is installed and working to play any ac3. I am confused, I have mainly avi and mkv files.
