BB Curve :: Cannot Setup/Validate Gmail

Been trying to get my gmail account up and running on my blackberry for two days now and have been having the same problems over and over again. I keep being sent the "validate the account" email and everytime I go in and change my password and every time it doesn't end up sticking or working.
I've done a bunch of the things suggested on the web - the whole captcha stuff, loging in using the browser, and nothing seems to be working. Downloading Google Sync managed to get my contacts onto my phone (something else I had a nightmare trying to figure out) but that's about it.
I'm starting to get incredibly fed up with this whole thing. What do I need to do to get my email on my phone?

I received an email from blackberry last week to validate my gmail address. It did not recognise my gmail address and/or password. I deleted the gmail account and tried to add my gmail account with a new passwoord. It tells me it is not a valid address or password.

I can't send/receive emails on my BlackBerry Curve. I got a message from BlackBerry that I have to validate my gmail password but when I follow the instructions, I can't get it to work. I go to "setup wizard" then to "email settings". It says if I want to access my email, to enter my user and password. I've tried all the user ID's that I would have used but nothing works. When I click on "forgot password" and go through that, it tells me it's sent my password has been sent to my BlackBerry, but it doesn't come.

i got my college account which is <removed>@berklee.edu but it is a gmail account. I mean i access to the account through gmail.I can't seem to set it up on my blackberry, how do i do it?i try to setup a gmail account, but obviosly the phone is recognizing <removed>@berklee.edu@gmail.comthe full username is the email address i first gave.

I have just setup email on my urve 9330, but it duplicate what I get from my Gmail app (which I like better). Can I disable email from arriving on my Curve 9330 and use only the Gmail app?

Ok guys...another gmail issue.i got my replacement bb storm in the mail...activated everything w success...restored using DM and it restored all my email accounts...said since i switched devices..i had to revalidate them all.ive got every one BUT gmail to validate..it keeps saying wrong name or pass...and i am 100% positive that they are being input correctly...casing is correct as well...i created another gmail account and it worked fine...i need my primary gmail account on this device!I am 1000% sure the email address and password are correct.

I don't know if my thread title makes sense but basically what I would like to know is what are the advantages of downloading the Gmail app vs just setting up a Gmail account through my BIS (Email Settings/Add Account)? My main objective here is wireless contacts sync. I have read a lot of negative feedback regarding Gmail on a BlackBerry but I will not really even be using this for email all to often, although I will from time to time.
What I have done is just added my new Gmail account through the native BlackBerry email setup and then downloaded Google Sync. I downloaded the Gmail app but I didn't really like the UI and I like to have all 3 of my email accounts go into the same folder.

After getting my first Blackberry (Bold 9780) I wanted to set it up with my GMail account. So far, quite easy. My mails came through fine for a few hours. However, I soon received an error email from Blackberry error message "Action Required: Validate Password". Validate your ***@googlemail.com password. Hmm, a little worrying but no problem to re-enter the password...Messages - Menu (Blackberry logo) - Options - Email Account Management - Select Account - Validate - ContinueAnyway, so it went on. Error message - password validation - functioning for a while - error message. This got old pretty quickly.So, after plenty of hair-tearing over a couple of days I came across a piece of information on the GMail Go to Google Accounts "DisplayAccountCaptcha" link, below. Enter your account details and the distorted letters and this problem was solved. I am not sure how it works but it does.

I am trying to setup my gmail account on my BB 9700 Bold, but keep getting the message that the gmail account or password is incorrect and won't give me any other options.I updated the phone to OS6 and it still won't accept the gmail account.Also received the "Enhanced Google Mail plug-in for Blackberry smartphones" - but that also stops at the same place.I have another webmail account [URL] that I've always used previously (and it works), but want to change from that email account (which is very spammed out) to my gmail account. Must I delete that account first before adding my gmail account? I haven't done so in case I lose that account and not be able to reinstate it.

I'm an ASU student so my email ends in @asu.edu. However its a Gmail account and I just got a new iPhone and I would really like to set it up through the mail app but it won't let me. Every time I type my email and password in the phone says: "The user name or password for [URL] is incorrect"...but I know it isn't.

I have a Bold 9700 and a Curve 8320.The Bold has, for want of a technical term, borked. It was in an endless reboot loop and I couldn't do anything to get it out of it.Anyway, I've put the sim card into an old, unlocked but still fully working Curve.It connects to the network fine - ie I can get SMSs and access the web via the browser.But I can't setup my email.You go to the add email page. It says: 'A new Blackberry device has been detected. You must move your email accounts to receive email on this device. To move an email account, you will need to type the email account password. At least one email account must be moved to set up email on this device.'<It then list my two email addresses>'Email delivery to your old device has been stopped this point you can't add a new email address (I can't find any way to add a new email address)If you click cancel, it totally cancels.So, you can only click 'Move email account' You do that, it lists the current email address with a space to enter the password, then click 'validate' So I've done that - the password IS correct.But every time, it just says: 'An error occurred while accessing your account. Please click below to try again. Link: Access Another Email Account'If you click that link it takes you back to the start and you go around in the same circle.So I'm left not being able to validate any of my email addresses - or being able to add a new one.

I have a Curve 8520 and have been trying to download new apps. When I enter my password I get the message 'unable to validate email address and password'. If I select 'forgot password' I get the message 'Blackberry is having trouble connecting to ... server. Verify your network connections and try again - error 30637'. Have checked my email settings and these seem ok and I am receiving email on the Blackberry on the same email account.

When i try mail for exchange, its more or less same since it keeps on asking my password without any further action.

How to setup gmail on my nokia e72. Its been a few months since I got my E72 and I tried to setup gmail using the email setup wizard. Everything goes well and it goes to inbox and says " Gmail Connected" but then tries to sync but cannot get any emails and inbox remains empty. I looked at the IMAP settings for gmail and they were correctly entered.

I received a message requesting that I "Validate Password" in order to continue receiving e-mail.
I read a message on the forum saying that my email address password needs to be updated on my BIS account, because I just changed the password toda and BIS can no longer access it.

I have received a message asking me to validate the password for an MSN email account I access through a work Curve 8520. I have done this before without any problem but now my BB says there is a problem connecting to the server so I can't access my email accounts to validate. Email is still coming through on other accounts. I tried to use the PC and access through the Blackberry Internet Server page but can't find anywhere there to access email account settings (all the guides say email settings are on the left hand pane of the page but not on any page I have found?

I upgraded my E6 with BELLE OS. Since then, it is impossible to set up my gmail account. and it is impossible to downgrade to previous OS where it was working. when upgrading my stuff, i expect better experience than before, in this case, it is worse!

I have searched back 3 months and can't find an answer. New BB user with the Sprint Tour. Trying to set up gmail. I go to email setup and select gmail. I type in my email address and password and all I get is "Unable to set up xxxxxx@gmail.com Please try Again"
Imap is enabled on Gmail. I don't want to use the gmail app, just want to check my gmail every once in awhile.
