BB Curve :: 9300 Menu Option Selector Flips From One Icon To Another
Mar 25, 2011
I have a Blackberry Curve 9300. I've had it for about 2 months and this week its gone wrong. When selecting a menu option the selector controls itself and flips from one icon to another. When texting I will be writing a message and it will scroll up to previous messages uncontrollably.
i have a blackberry curve 9300 and i noticed that when i am reading an email and i use the trackpad left and right, instead of miving right and left within the line i am reading, it flips through e-mails (left gets the prefious mail and right gets the following mail) inlike when it is scrolled up and down, as it moves up and down the same mail.
is this notmal? can it be adjsuted from teh settings? this wasn't the case with my older curve 8520.
Have tried after taking a pic to upload strait to my facebook page. However the upload menu only shows twitter as the social networking app. Can i change the upload menu or is there a shortcut i don' t kmow about? It' a pain having to go into facebook and go though the upload instead of doing it straight after tking the pic.
I have a BlackBerry Curve 9300 And the hub bar has only like five icons. How to change the hub bar to get it to be like the blackberry bold hub bar like were its says "All" I don't like just having only five icon.
A week ago I bought a Curve 9300, and today I was using it and suddenly when I was in the main menu, I pressed red key and just stayed there, this red key does work in calls, and to get out of other applications, but when I am in the main menu, it just stays unresponsive. I've tried several battery pulls also.
I am unable to receive videos via Bluetooth because when I go Media >>>> Media Type >>>> Options, I don't see the "Receive via Bluetooth option. My Bluetooth is turned on and our phones are paired, but the menu option is missing on my phone. What could be wrong, and how can I fix it, will doing a factory reset to reset the phone back to v5 and then reinstalling 6 OS fix this problem.
I am trying to turn on the mass storage mode. I have found the information how to do this but when I go into Options from any icon the relevant list does not come up. When you highlight an icon, click on the Blackberry key and then on options it comes up with 'Home Screen Preferences' at the top of the page, not the menu I was expecting.
My 8520 curve doesn't allow me the option to explore when pressing the menu key. I assumed it had to do with the theme I had installed, as my brother's phone (which has no theme) gave him the option to explore the media folder. I removed the theme and reset defaults but still no option to explore. I wanted to rename some of my media files by accessing the files folder in the application folder but when I want to rename it warns that changing it will make it unreadable.
I am receiving emails just fine. When trying to forward, I merely hit the blackberry key and forward comes up with other options. I scroll to forward and then it wants the email address I want to forward to. After entering the email address, no matter which key I hit, Blackberry key or scroll button, I only get two choices...."Save Draft" and "Full Menu". I then click on Full Menu and there is no option to "send."
I have a blackberry curve 9300. when i am reading an email and i use the trackpad left and right, instead of moving right and left within the line i am reading, it flips through e-mails (left gets the previous mail and right gets the following mail) unlike when it is scrolled up and down, as it moves up and down the same mail. Is this normal? This wasn't the case in my previous older curve. i am running software version 6 in case it is related to the software
I have a BB Curve 9300. In 'set up' I cant select 'email accounts' I press but nothing happens. I have just changed providers and I need to chang information so the my emails come through but apparently can only do this using the 'email accounts option
No matter how hard I look I simply cannot find the select runtime option in the developer's menu to switch to ART. It's simply not there. I have a Rogers LG G3 and the device performance has been pretty sluggish since I bought the thing.
my curve has just started clicking when recieving or making calls. The icon in the top left is flipping between headphones & normal. The store said I need to reset the factory settings which would be annoying!
I've a 9300 on T-Mobile UK with BB Worldwide booster, which I thought was for email. At the top right is "3G BB (icon)". I think the BB refers to the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS)..I'm in France and have used by BB to connect to the internet directly and also using it as a 3G modem via Desktop Software to my netbook. After downloading several MBs of data, I am relieved to find that although all the MBs of data appear on my account, using Orange france, there is not a single charge for the data. I am assuming that using the BIS also includes www data as well as email.
There are also some BlackBerry.net entries - which I assume are for the GPS maps etc.
On the top of the screen, near the email indicator, there is now a yellow ball that looks like the earth-type symbol for internet. There is a number 1 next to it. This indicator appeared when i turned my phone on this morning and it won't go away.I tried this advice and it didn't work.It is a WAP Browser icon. It's also an unopened message. Here is the best way to search From the main message queue do a search:service=ALL SERVICESfolder: ALL FOLDERSshow: ONLY UNREADtype=ALL I also tried clearing history, cache and cookies and it is still there?
I have a curve 9300 v5.0 it was working fine I think that it was because I was trying to update to the last version of it, but it didn't work and show some kind of error, after this the bbm was working and the next day the icon was Gonne! I already reboot my phone, wipe it (reset) and started from scratch but nothing seems to work! My icon is not there! When I tried to install blackberry messenger again it said that the application already exist! idk what else to do!!! Can anyone please help me! Also when I tried to work on it form my PC it said that my device has not enough memory!
After I installed OS6 v461 in my 9300, the firsts reboots didn't show the sms icon. After some research, I found a solution: to search and delete all sms messages from messages app/icon (because some "incompatibility" between sms storage in OS5 and OS6).Some weeks passed until today without having any issue with this. Now, I decided to do a QuickPull because I was having bad reception and after restart, I noticed sms icon was missing again.
I have acquired a new icon on my Blackberry 9300 Curve screen - a five pointed gold star with a small black dot in the centre. Have no idea what it relates to or why it suddenly appeared. Can't find any outstanding updates to do. Get the impression that my battery use is speeding up as if there is some activity constantly running.
I recently noticed that my Blackberry App World icon was missing from my home screen. I drilled into each of the sub folders, selecting 'show all' for each, and still could not find the icon. I attempted to re-download the app from the blackberry website using my browser, but was informed that I already had the application on my device. I then attempted to replace the existing version, and still no icon.I then decided to navigate to the application center and remove the app world application. I then navigated back to my browser (cleared the cache) and attempted to download the app. I received a 'download failed' notification, with the details of 'Invalid COD error 907' message (or something to that affect).
Specs: Device: Curve 9300 Carrier: Vodaphone UK OS: 6.0 Bundle (v220.127.116.118, platform 18.104.22.168) App world: v22.214.171.124 (i think)
After installing OS6 on my Blackberry 9300 the icon for Blackberry App World has disappeared. App World is installed in the application list but the icon does not appear on the Home screen even after the show all command.
I recently reinstalled BB App World and it works fine. However, whenever the BB restarts with QuickPull, the AW icon is displayed with all the other icons when the menu key is held down. But if the AW icon is selected, AW does not appear. Nor does it appear if selected from the "All" screen.
My month-old Blackberry Curve 9300 won't turn on. I plugged it in - to the wall - to charge earlier today and at that point it seemed fine - when I went back to check it, though, the screen was blank with a red light. I've tried turning it on, but the loading screen comes up, loads a tiny part of the way, and then a blank white screen appears, then I get an icon of a battery with a red cross through it.
I recently got a Blackberry Curve 9300 about 3 months back and have had no troubles till last week. I have shifted base from India to the UK and am currently on O2. The blackberry was purchased in India. Since the last week my BB has been randomly showing up the wait icon (the small clock), gets frozen and draining the battery very fast. Some specs below.6.0 Bundle 2475 (v 126.96.36.1996, Platform 188.8.131.52) just to let you know I was using Airtel (Bharati Cellular Services India) back then.Free Space: 54929611 bytes I feel that my BB has trouble hooking up with the O2 network (not very sure cause I used it for a good 2 weeks without any problem).I have done innumerable battery pulls and quite a few reinstalls including restoring it to factory defaults and reinstalling the OS again.
