The blackberry 8520 bough before 6 months have developed screen fading while I took out from my pocket, The warrnty company says it is DAMAGED, Lord ! I didnt damagedAnd they are informing me that the warranty is VOIDI told them it is not acceptable, I didnt damaged it and there is no physical crack on it !!! how can they say it is damaged ?

I really tried everything. I have to be very fast in seeing if i put in the correct number to call otherwise it's canceling the call or wait to see if it was the correct number.
View 7 Replies View RelatedI recent bought a unlocked iphone 5c 8gb two days ago the phone was acting fine for a day. thin after that day around 6 the next day the phone had lines pop up on the screen and turned its self of. so im thinking its normal when the phone crashes and turn off i mean all iphone does this. but it was wearied seeing the lines pop up. after that i had turn the phone back on to update it to ios 8.1.1. soon as i did that it got worst. then phone would heat up and shut off with the lines on . you couldn't even have the phone on for a 1 before it did that.
So it had shut off again and when i turned it back on i t went straight to recovery mode. and i got out of that by holding the home button and power for ten seconds. thin i went to youtube to do some research and they said to do recovery mode or dfu mode. i did it once and it work for a while thin did the same stuff all over again. so i did it multiple times like 9 times recovery mode/ dfu mode. so now the apple logo blinks and fade a way constantly. and everytime i try to put it in dfu mode or recovery mode it wont even go on there it will just blink and fade away. do i need to get a new battery.

This is my first time on here and after reading some of your post's with regard's to this phone, I'm now starting to regret my purchase. Brought this phone at the end of November and within a week I started to experience the contact's screen fading problem's, phone turn's itself off, etc, etc. Today I have got a new fault and I have contacted Nokia and they told me to carry out three different thing's, but this didn't help and suggested I take it to a repair centre.I stumbled on this discussion page and thought I would post my problem to see if anyone could help me :-Every time I go to answer a call or make a call, my phone just turn's itself off, can anyone help ?Just wanted to know if anyone else has experienced this one and if so, what can I do.I have removed the battery, sim card and checked for an updated, nothing helped.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI woke up this morning to find the screen on my Z2 to be very off colour with hundreds of horizontal lines consistently moving down the screen. I haven't damaged my phone in any way recently, why this is occuring.

I would put it down to a hardware defect, however when my phone locks itself and I go the unlock it, or if I leave it for a few minutes, the screen will be fine for a few seconds or so, until it gradually fades to a white, then pinkish colour with vertical lines, and then blueish white horizontal lines will begin to move down the phone until it becomes quite impossible to actually use it. I've also just noticed that the lines get much worse when I'm actually using my phone rather than just staring at it idly, so it must be touch triggered or something?

I've had this phone since around December after it replaced a lost one, and haven't had any issues so far. I would take it to the phone shop to get it repaired, but I know that will leave me without a phone for 1 - 2 weeks, which just isn't an option. I'd just like to know what the exact issue is before forking out £50 for a new screen.

When I retrieved it, the screen is all white. I can not do anything with it. I am able to receive calls on it and I hear that I receive messages on it but I can not see anything! I can not do anything either, not even turn it off....I'm desperate! I've tried soft booting and even a hard boot, but agian nothing is working.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI am using a BB Curve 8520 Smartphone (EDGE WIFI) v5.0.0.681.From almost a month now i am facing a problem whenever i m using my phn for more than 5mins in a stretch.Even while browsing internet or during call the screen jst blurs and goes totally white and then i have to take d battery out nd reinsert it and it will try to restart for a min or so nd again go sompletely white midway.The only way the phn restarts is by reinserting the battery while being attached to the charger.Although it doesnt have battery issues as when the phone starts again the battery indications are correct and doesnt show a drained out battery.I upgraded software frm BB website and also tried deleting all the new apps that i had downloaded but still the problem wont go.The phn works perfect and doesnt freeze even once when constantly connected to the charger.But practically thats not possible

After i put it into charge - then only a successful start is done. So the only solution as of now i have - is whenever my blackberry hangs - i need to remove the battery - insert it again - and immediately put it into charging via USB/Electric-Power. Even if i re-insert the battery - the white screen comes - unless and until i put it into charging Earlier i was guessing - my battery was weak.

Hey everyone, I'm a new Curve 8530 user with sprint and have had my 8530 for about 6 days now and I just happened too look down at the screen while it was locked and the bottom left corner is full of dust on the inside.... Has anyone else seen this on the 8520/30 yet? Is it difficult to get a replacement device?

I recently noticed this and my carrier said it was caused by dust getting in through the speaker area on top of the phone and that there was nothing they could do, they tried using a canned air, but didn't budge. I asked both U.S. Cellular and Verizon reps what I should do and they say that I need to replace the phone. (Contact my Insurance Company, which is DTS Insurance I believe my carrier uses.)
So far to correct the issue I've applied a case that covers up most cracks and a privacy protector which made it so I can see the dust under the screen. but, still I'd like to know how to fix the issue.
So far the only thing I can think of is to take the housing apart and probably just put a new housing on, but clean the lcd underneath the plastic screen.
I have a ton of dust under my screen right now, and it is really starting to bother me. Is there any way to get the dust out of the screen? I don't mind taking the phone apart if it gets rid of it. I already tried to take the phone to the VZW store, but they didn't do anything.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI'm having problems with my daughters curve when trying to turn it on. When I turn it on it take 5 mins or more to load and then freezes when I get to password screen. If I enter a password no cursor appears and after a minute it says password incorrect. I have connected to device manager and the password is correct on the pc. I've noticed that the Aa symbol (caps locks) flashes on and off on when starting up. I have googled the problem with no success. I have tried a battery pull with and without sim card. Ctrl alt delete also failed. I have connected to device manager and deleted an app to see if frees phone up but no joy.

Now my new curve keeps freezing when I'm on the internet, the screen will get white lines across it which gradually get bigger until the whole screen is white. A reboot doesn't work unless the phone is plugged into the charger and the problem never happens when the phone is on charge.I've tried changing the browser settings so JavaScript isn't enabled, I've also reinstalled the software and finally decided to wipe my blackberry and restored it to the file i had saved from my old curve and I'm still getting the same problem.
I'm not sure whether it's linked to the battery as it also happens when making a call if the battery is low and when I reboot my curve after it's gone to a white screen the battery has usually dropped a few bars (usually from full to 2 bars)
For the past few weeks, everytime I get on the internet or listen to the media player, the screen turns white and then shuts down the phone. Once this happens, I can't turn the phone back on. I've tried taking the battery out and replacing it and it still does not turn back on. It only turns back on once it's been plugged into a charger and then shows that the battery is dead. I don't carry a charger in my back pocket and can't always plug one in if I do carry it. This is very frustrating!! 80% of the time, the battery is fully charged when the screen goes out so it's draining the battery when it does this. Is anyone else having this problem?

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife wanted to sell her BB curve 8520 for a BB upgrade Phone and so to delete all data I did a memory wipe. the phone never started after the wipe and got stuck on the white screen with a small clock in the middle...it stays on for a few min ...goes blank and starts again with the white screen....this keep on repeating on and on!!..I tried to use a method given in other treads by re intalling the software but I cant even connect the BB to my PC via USB (DEVICE NOT RECOGNIZED)...I even tried different computers and different USB port and different WIndows (Win 7 and XP) still no luck!
