I'm hoping the answer is "no"; that it carries on and will only stop once it has erased EVERYTHING securely from the iPhone.

Jul 6, 2012I currently have a 16g iphone 4s. I am swapping phones with my brother, and went to wipe the phone with the built in reset from settings. "Erase All Content and Settings". I clicked it and it immediately went to the "loading" screen where it is just a black screen with the white cirle, continuously circling. Now ive done this before and it took only a few minutes to reset. But this time around, i am currently going on 3 hours of it "Resetting".is there a shortcut, should i open phone up and unplug battery? let it die out? or wait it out and keep it plugged in??

May 21, 2010I have a big problem and I hope someone is able to help me. So i recently bought an iPhone 3g on ebay and it was already unlocked and jailbroken. I wanted to delete the contacts in there so I did the "erase all contents and settings." The things is, I did not know I was not suppose to do that to a jailbroken iPhone. Now my phone is stuck on the logo screen with the loading wheel thing. I did not look at the firmware version or any other specs. I also tried to do a restore on itunes, but I got "iphone could not be restored error 20." I am new to this, can someone please help me?

I connected it to my computer and it only shows the apple logo, this has been going on for several hours now. I tried to hold the power and home button at the same time, the logo just go on and off and when I release the buttons the apple goes back again. Jul 28, 2010So I just got my Blackberry yesterday and while I was tweaking around and setting my passwords, I enabled Secure Content and it said that it will start Memory Cleaning and that it'll take a few minutes. I waited for it to finish but then it just died down on me. It went off and then whenever I'd try to turn it on, a solid red light goes on and then it goes to the white screen with the clock-loading icon thing for 5 minutes then turns off then does it again or just remains off. I tried pulling out the battery then turning it on, charging it for 3 hours straight, the 101 on Reinstalling the OS on a Bricked Berry and it still forever loops on its boot up. I don't know what happened or why it did that and to think that it was barely a day old when it happened. Any suggestions on what to do besides taking it to my carrier?
