I have a blackberry tour as well as a curve 8530/20 for verizon. I have trapster downloaded on both my tour and my curve from blackberry app world. On my tour it connects and everything works fine. On my curve it constantly is looking for a connection and it wont follow me. I have gps set location on under options and did everything I think i need to get it to work.

They use to but now when I go to like you tube, or nothingtoxic.com, or even my video recordings it won't play it says an error has occurred media attempt failed. I use to restart my BB and that would help for a lil while now it doesn't work at all. How do I fix this?

I had my phone in my pocket today for about 30 minutes and when I went to take it out none of the buttons were responsive the only thing that worked was the track pad. I tried pulling the battery and restarting but still the same outcome only the trackpad was functional. I have the blackberry 8530.

The problem I am now having is that when I press the trackpad to open a link online nothing happens. I have to open the menu and click on Open Link. The trackpad works correctly in all other places except opening a link online. Is there a trackpad setting that I may have turned off by mistake?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Curve 8520 that's brand new. However, I notice when I zoom the camera and take a picture, the camera doesn't actually zoom in. All it does is resize the image so that it gets smaller the more it says the zoom number. For example, If I take a picture at 1x zoom, it will be 1024x768 pixels on my computer screen. However, if I zoom in 3x, it makes the picture much smaller (like 600x800) and more focused (and pixelated) on the center of the subject of the picture.
So that on the tiny Blackberry screen, the picture appears bigger when resized down a lot. When has digital zoom meant resizing the image to fool the user into thinking that it is zoomed only when viewing it on the blackberry screen? When I zoom in, it should keep the picture the same size! What a gip for a relatively high quality phone camera too.
After doing a few battery pulls its still not working.I've done some searching now for about an hour and comming up empty handed. I have a friend with an 8520 Curve from I-Wireless. After a couple days of using it his trackpad stopped. Now to me from reading it seem that most problems lie with the 8520 series and also seems that its a software issue as a batt pull will fix it for abit. Will updating to os 5.0 beta fix this problem or does the problem lie elsewhere?

Then I downloaded a game and a theme.. about 30 mins after the theme it started not to work.The only thing I can do is take a picture.The track ball wont move at all. Left or right. It will take a picture.Is there anything I can do? Please help me if you can.I cant even dial my phone. when i type a name in it wont let me scrool down to the number I need.is there a way to dete the stuff? Or fix the trackball?

It restarts when I charge the phone and works properly till the next white" out which is becoming more frequent as the days go by. View 4 Replies View RelatedI just downloaded the new OS when I plugged my phone to the computer... it sounded like a good idea to upgrade everything but I do not like how the UNlock function is only through the mute button now. I mean, if I wanted to just lock/unlock my phone that way with the push of only one button, I could use the standby (mute) button and press on it again to unlock it before. I really liked the previous version where you had to take the extra step of pushing two buttons (A and Send) to unlock it. Because I unlock my phone by accident a lot when it's in my purse and I reach for something and accidentally press the top button (mute button). Any ideas if Blackberry is planning on a new OS version soon that would restore the old locking/unlocking system? I do not necessarily want to downgrade to a previous OS version but I might have to as the "easy" one-button only unlocking option is not working for me.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI updated my phone the other day with the v5.0.0.734 OS. It wiped out everything. I had to go back and restore my contacts, reload ringtones and apps, etc. Got everything back the way it was now.
I have three email accounts synced to it. All are active, Wi-fi on, network on. New mail isn't showing up on my handset, only from my gmail account, the hotmails aren't showing up. Used to be you could look in the folder for each email account and see what emails were there, then there was one folder that showed all of them. What am I missing?

I'm gettin sick n tired of this trackball on the 8330, I recently had to fix it cause it would only go up... so onto a new Blackberry! Can anyone give me some input about the 8530? I hear the camera has no flash , is that true? How is that supposed to be an upgrade!? Anything else I should know that's different between the two, aside from the obvious?

But now there's a new problem: email. Neither of my email addresses work (@*.blackberry.net or my personal email) and anytime I try to send something, a red X immediately appears next to it.
I changed my theme today and when I did, I noticed that I has a Backup Assistant Icon on my background. Is this true? Blackberries have Backup Assistant now? Please tell me I didn't download a virus.

So why is it lacking some normal basic features such as a flash on the camera or high quality mega-pixel camera as the other upgraded phones have? I am honestly curious as this is my first blackberry but I missed why these features were not included in the newer type model.

I have a plastic case on it, so everytime I go to press the Mute buton, I have to take the case off. Now my fiance has the same exact phone, and when he wants to unlock, the message says to press the A key with the send/call key.

If anyone out there could lend me a helping hand with this. Well, im not a very heavy BB user but ive never had my batt go dead on me but it happened! i totally couldnt turn my phone on until i put in my charger.Then it happens randomly whereby my phone will heat up and the battery drops 5% every 10mins or so! until it shuts off!! It happened once right after i fully charged my phone and it shut off within the next hour.Anyone knows whats happening?? i suspected whether it was any of my installed apps that are draining my batt, so i shut off everything! i mean no msn no foursquare no twitter only emails are on but yet it still happens!!Help please? i hope its just the batt thats screwed not my phone.
