BB Bold :: Windows Could Not Find Driver Software?
Oct 30, 2012
I recently received an email from BlackBerry that there was an update available for my BlackBerry Bold 9900. I opened the desktop software and clicked on the update button. Then I needed to update the latest version of my os. Before doing anything, I backed up my phone to the desktop software successfully. After the updates the software does not recognize my device. I get a message to install driver software and I am prompted to use a disk which I never had, so it searches for a solution, but fails.
I can pair my torch 9800 with my laptop running Windows 7 but it can not install the driver. Where do I find the driver? It pairs, my torch is showing in device list, Windows searches for driver but not able to find the driver to install.
Windows XP detects the device but cannot find driver, even if I try pointing to the client CD it does not find driver. Also I have already installed the client software successfully.
I am unable to successfully add my Blackberry 9700 as a bluetooth device paired to my Windows 7 64 bit laptop in order to use the wireless syncing function. When I attempt to pair the device, I receive the error message "device driver was not successfully installed" and "Bluetooth peripheral device- no driver found." The properties display 2 missing drivers. Can someone advise me from where I can obtain these missing drivers. I am using Desktop Manager 5.0.1.28.
Trying to install my BB on my new laptop w/Windows 7 Professional. Tells me "device driver software not found," troubleshooting says driver not compatible with this version of Windows. I had no problem with my old Vista. Tried to register for support but since I can't get my phone onto my laptop it would not let me.
I'm trying to use QuickLink Mobile Phone Book on a Dell Vostro 200 desktop running Windows XP. I can't seem to load the drivers from the install disk. The installation wizard can't find the drivers. Has anybody run into this problem?
I have a Samsung Hue 2 tethered as a modem through Alltel (now Verizon). It worked fine with Windows XP, but not with Windows 7. I called Samsung and was told that a Win 7 driver does not exist yet. This phone is still under contract so I cannot switch it for a different brand. Great, the only computer I could buy now is Win 7, 64 bit.
I have a old phone (K750i) which I used to use on my XP. Now that I am using Windows 7 Ultimate Edition, I am not able to install the USB driver on my PC, and connect my K750i. Can someone please suggest if I can use/ install the USB driver on windows 7 to connect to my K750i phone.
I tried to connect my Lumia to Windows, but my Vista does not seem to have a driver for Lumia.I downloaded Zune, but also when I connect Zune to my phone, I get the message 'driver not found'.Can I get the driver from somewhere? Or is there another way to copy an mp3 onto the phone?
I am just receiving my Motorola Defy. But I can't transfer files between computer and phone : the MTP driver has a bad installation.I have a message (not exact I translate because I'm in french): "bad service in INF file"I have tried reboot, uninstall and re-install, by the hand or by the Motorola drivers installer (I have dowladed the last version). Nothing.
I was able to use Ovi suite fine before I recently reinstalled XP on my system. But now when I connect the N8 I get the "Windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)" error. Have tried uninstalling and re-adding the hardware, but keep getting the same problem. Have tried installing drivers from the download on the Nokia site, version 7.1.34.0, but it refuses to do so, telling me I have more up to date drivers already installed (although the installed ones seem to be 7.1.32.62, which is older, isn't it..?)
does anyone know where I can download Windows 7 driver for LG SU-430 (code named Lollipop 2)?My sister-in-law is visiting from South Korea and she only brought the USB adapter. I plugged it into both my desktop and laptop running Windows 7 and it correctly identified the device as LG SU-430 but neither has the driver and as a result, she's unable to charge the phone.
I went to 5 different cell phone stores in a local shopping mall today to see if they have an AC adapter that fits this model but no such luck.
does anyone know where I can find a driver for my lg ax585 phone so I can connect it to my computer? is it possible to add my own ring tones without having to buy them from someone else? I would like to be able to create my own from audio files that I already have ( mp3s)
I am using Windows 7, fully updated with as far as I can tell a fully updated version of the N86. Recently got new firmware, but can't say for sure if this is when the problems started.
The problem I have is I am unable to connect the phone to the PC and get it to work with either Ovi of PC Suite. I have tried re-installing the drivers, but every time I plug it in, all I get is a Windows message installing drivers, and then a message saying S60 handset is installed, and a Windows screen giving me options such as file transfer etc.
If I try and connect in either Ovi or PC Suite, it can see the phone but says it is not in PC suite mode, even though I have selected this option on the phone. I have a feeling that Windows is installing a generic S60 driver, rather than a model specific one, and this is what is causing the problem, but I can't find a model specific driver anywhere.
This phone has been working on this PC before, and I seem to remember it installing 3 or 4 drivers when first connected, but now it only installs an "MTP USB Device" driver. Any help would be appreciated, because at the moment all I can do is transfer files. No backups, no syncs, nothing with either Ovi or PC Suite, the only access I have is through Microsofts own explorer.
I recently connected my Nokia 5800 to my bluetooth connection on my Windows 7 Ultimate pc of which downloads and installs the drivers from Windows Update. This works fine for the most part but i am left with 3x Bluetooth Peripher Device enteries showing in Device Manager and a Yellow Exclimation Mark located next to the Nokia 5800 device icon in Device and Printers but i cannot seem to find out what drivers are missing, even Windows Update find nothing for these entries.I have the latest version of Ovi Suite installed on my computer but this does not install any bluetooth drivers, I have the latest drivers for my Trust 16008 Bluetooth dongle but these 3x Bluetooth Peripheral Device enteries only appear when i connect the Nokia 5800 to bluetooth. I have also tried to locate the drivers from the support CD but this fails also.
I have tried looking on Nokia Discussions for a solution but it seems i am not the only person that is having the problem with these enteries in Device Manager and no drivers for them.It seems that Nokia has not released the relevent drivers therefor full Bluetooth Driver installation is incomplete.I would like Nokia to fully rectify the situation and explain why these drivers are missing and if they will be released.
Ive found several devices or apps that actually block Texting emailing even calls for phones in motion. But they all seem to work with Droid or every other phone besides Apple!? Does anyone know of a device or app that actually BLOCKs a driver from texting while driving.
I have done a clean install of Desktop Software 7.1 but when I connect my 9900 the PC looks for the driver for the rim composite device but can't find it.
I have followed all of the troubleshooting tips but DM manager still won't respond when my new 9900 is connected. I have no problems connecting my 9700 and PlayBook.
I have been going through this forum for a while and have tried all of the fixes that I can find to no avail. I have a brand new Windows 7 64-bit machine, that never had the Desktop Manager installed. I have installed version 5.01 off of the web site. Windows is able to see the Blackberry in the Device Manager just fine and I can also see the internal storage available under My Computer and I can access all folders. The Virtual Ports (COM3 and COM4) are also available in Device Manager.
I went through and followed the clean uninstall and reinstall instructions and various other suggestions that I have already seen. For whatever reason, the Desktop Manager still won't see the BB. When going into Options in the Desktop Manager, it shows that USB is selected but still nothing under PIN.I am connected to the straight USB port on the back of the computer and have tried several there.
My wife's computer does not see her or my 9650 as a 9650 just a generic Blackberry. Since the file manager of the OS never sees it as a 9650 her DM also does not recognize it as a 9650.
