I regularly use my phone to play music on and a few weeks ago it randomly decided to turn the volume all the way down to mute by its self, even when I turn it up, it instantly turns it down again. I managed to get it to stop doing this after re setting the device several times but now it has started doing it again, the opposite way so it turns all the way up o full volume without me touching anything.

Issue: After upgrading to version 4.6.0.282 the ring tone volume is very low, even when the profile setting has the tone set to High I often miss the call, I have tried turning on "Audio Boost" with no change, tried a hard re-boot, no change. Volume of calls are fine, it's the ring tones, I have the same ring tone in use as before the O/S upgrade so this hasn't changed, no other (new) apps have been installed, just the O/S upgraded. I can't find any sort of master volume control setting in any of the forums is there such a setting, how do I get the volumes back to normal?
My volume button broke! I can increase the volume of my music but i cant decrease it! What can I do?PS I listen to music a lot so i need the button to work?

View 5 Replies View RelatedI had a Pearl 8120 before, and it had the ability to store different volume levels for handset, speakerphone and headset.The 9700 seems to have just one setting for all.If you change the volume on the speaker, the volume will also be changed for the headset.I find this rather annoying. I've noticed that the volume controls on the right side of the device will not work while the device is in the holster. If I take it out of the holster, the volume buttons work fine. Is there any way to enable these buttons while the holster is being used? I would have thought that they would automatically work by default.

I would often try to increase or decrease the volume, and I realize I can't. I tried a battery pull hoping that would solve the issue.
