BB Bold :: Unable To Call International From China

I have a Dutch BB bold 9900. At the moment i am in china and i have a mobile plan with China Unicom and also their BIS. I have also activated with them international calling. but for some reason i am not able to make international calls, but i can send international text messages and receive calls from other countries than china.
when i change the sim card to another phone, i am able to make international calls. is there something wrong with the settings of my BB or something with China unicom? (it seems with the some, bu ti really do not know what???)
I've added my Exchange account to my iPhone 4, latest iOS as of 2/5/2012. Everything is working fine, my contacts included except one thing:
In my company's Active Directory, we specify our phone numbers with international dialing codes. So all of my team members in the UK's numbers are showing up as 44 xxxx etc. On other phones, namely an HTC Windows phone, there's a feature that still allows you to make calls to numbers with the international dialing codes.
Basically I'm looking for the feature that auto calls numbers that have 44 in front of them, otherwise I am going to have to manually edit every phone number in my contact list (well over 300).
Today I have experienced international call (from The Netherlands). The remote telephone number shown in the displayer begun with +4831 instead of +31 (48 is my country code, and 31 is Dutch country code), so whole was too long.Maybe it is only small bug, but it makes hard to distinguish international calls from local calls. I had to count amount of digits in telephone number. Also when I want to recall on this number I had to write it manually.
know if this 9788 works out of China?9788 is TD-CDMA system specially for China Mobile; this phone works fine in China; but it stops getting Emails after arrived Malaysia; phone call and text message are fine; it gets a small "edge" (not EDGE) , we checked the BB service status is fine, did battery pull, switch between several carriers, 2G only, data service while roaming is on; it can only get edge on Digi 2G; get emegency call only on all other carriers?
i have a blackberry originally bought from the UK from a store with no contract so it was never registered in the UK. I brought it back to canada and got it unlocked and now am using it on FIDO, no problems with data everythings good.I can't seem to add any international contacts on BBM, well thats a guess, I've only tried adding UK pins and it just stays in pending and the other contact gets nothing, they try adding me and it stays in pending while i get nothing. I can add all canadian pins no problem? I called FIDO they said there is no block on my account of any sorts so it must be on RIMS side, i called rim they tried charging me 49$ to "look into the problem", I dont have 49$ to blow, so is there any other solutions or anything before i am forced to pay it?
i acquire a blackberry bold 9900 from and independent seller, however the device its brick and the solutions so far havent work. i need to make use of the warranty the only problem its that im in spain, and the seller also tell me that they wont receive the unit to trammit the warranty?
BBM for international contacts stopped working in august! It used to work before and now it does not work, they cant get my add requests, sometime added contacts get my messages. I don't get anything from them. Contacts I want to add get the PIN message but they can't add me or do anything whatsoever with the stupid PIN message'. I am with ogers vancouver who told its all Blackberry's fault !!!
Ever since the official release of OS .405 for AT&T, I've been trying to get it via OTA unsuccessfully. I have an AT&T account but I've been in New Zealand for a few weeks now. I have unlimited international data (the old plan they don't offer anymore) but I was thinking maybe there was something with roaming on the networks down here that's prohibiting me from downloading it. Does anyone know if it should work anyway or will I have to just wait until I'm back in the US?
I am trying to unlock my phone so I can use it internationally. I called AT&T and they said they couldn't unlock it and that I need to contact the phone manufacturer. Anyone have any idea how I can obtain an unlock code from RIM?
I bought my phone in Dubai, UAE. I now live in Kunming China, and my service is China Mobile. I have a local Kunming number.Is it possible to get email in China (Kunming) on my BB Torch?
Is the iMessage totally encrypted or is Apple cooperating with Chinese government and the great firewall of China to filter iMessage for "unpopular" words?I think this answer is essential to many enterprises dealing with China.
I have a Nokia 5000 that I bought and used in China for a couple years with no problems and now I am back in the U.S.
I have since signed up for AT&T with an iPhone but had a free card for T Mobile prepaid I would like to add to this phone.
I called today and gave them the activation, sim #, IMEI #, etc. and everything went well BUT the cell phone does NOT see the network. I can't make any calls and when calling my new number from another phone it goes straight to voicemail.
Does T Mobile require a special phone to use their prepaid service? I was under the impression that you could use any phone. Also I was under the impression that this phone is NOT locked because in China 99% of people DON'T use contracts but rather just buy prepaid minutes anywhere you go. And this is exactly what I did - just add minutes every few months.
I also thought that if your phone is locked when you put in a SIM card it will basically not let you access the phone. Mine does not do this. I can still access all features. It's just that there is no service.
Any ideas on what I can do to fix this situation? I am definitely not that educated on cell phones, unlocked, hacking them, etc and this phone is not worth my time going to too much trouble. But if it's at all possible, I would like to get this to work as a backup.
bought motorola krzr from china, live in montreal, phone unlocked, put in my sim card and the phone is roaming, anyway i can get rid of that because i am getting charged for roaming fees
It just works sometimes. In the most of the time in the most places the Maps cannot determine current location. if the compass show the latitude and longitude Is it because Beidou GPS run by Chlna government blocks iPhone or what?
Is there a fix for the Chinese iphones without wifi or will(can) apple release a fix for these phones in the future? example if no fix is available, can one simply replace the no wifi (China) board with a functioning one?
I have just received a "Blackberry Bold 9700 Unlocked International Version" which i purchased from Amazon.Com. "This is supposed to be a new unbranded unit".
The installed software version is 5.0.0.351 with platform 5.1.0.98 and branding version 1.0.160.529q.I have read in this forum that there is a later version of the os available yet when I utilized the BB desktop software updater, it say that the latest version is installed. Is this correct?
I also have other issues with applications. I am unable to download and install the "BlackBerry APP World"; I get a message, " Sorry, your device does not meet the system requirements that are needed to support BlackBerry App World"
"Google talk" give an error messag: " Service not enabled for this hand held" "Blackberry maps" are not loaded on the handset.Setup wizard does not give me the option to set up my personal e-mail only enterprise e-mail.I am able to browse and send and receive MMS & SMS messages.
Kindly advise as to ho to resolve these issues and whether there is a more current software version for the handset, and if so: how do I update it.

Decide to order my n1 today and found that since i last looked they've made an option for either t-mo or att version of 3g band. Since i never had t-mo 3g where i lived previously and now live overseas, i'm confused which version is best suited for asian markets? I am using a nokia n82 and the 3g works fine everywhere i go.
I'm on an iPhone 4 on 5.1.1. I'm in Asia trying to send iMessages back to the U.S. because it doesn't use texting costs, but I can't get any to go through to other iPhones on 5.x in the USA. I have 3G, data and roaming turned off - do any of these affect iMessage? Whenever I go to message someone, there is no option but to send the message as a text message.
Someone got a brandnew N97 from O2 in Germany. The interesting thing is the packages says "Made in China". My own N97 was made in Finland, as expected. Does Nokia really assemble some N97 in China? Or could this be a faked phone!? But I do not expect O2 to sell faked phones. What does Nokia say about this? I live in China and have a China iPhone 4S Model MD242CH currently subscribed to China Mobile. I will be going on vacation in Canada and I want to be able to take my iPhine 4S with me and change out my China Mobile MicroSIM card for a Canadian carriers MicroSIM card (Rogers Wireless, Fido Solutions, Bell Mobility, Telus Mobility, ???). It would also be nice if the 3G (or 2.5G GPRS/EDGE) works. What about my iPhone 4S WiFi ??
i wanted to try out a facetime call with someone over in japan just to see if it works.i am in the united states.i will initiate it via the phonebook so there won't be charges on either end. it should be all wifi.
