BBM for international contacts stopped working in august! It used to work before and now it does not work, they cant get my add requests, sometime added contacts get my messages. I don't get anything from them. Contacts I want to add get the PIN message but they can't add me or do anything whatsoever with the stupid PIN message'. I am with ogers vancouver who told its all Blackberry's fault !!!

i have a blackberry originally bought from the UK from a store with no contract so it was never registered in the UK. I brought it back to canada and got it unlocked and now am using it on FIDO, no problems with data everythings good.I can't seem to add any international contacts on BBM, well thats a guess, I've only tried adding UK pins and it just stays in pending and the other contact gets nothing, they try adding me and it stays in pending while i get nothing. I can add all canadian pins no problem? I called FIDO they said there is no block on my account of any sorts so it must be on RIMS side, i called rim they tried charging me 49$ to "look into the problem", I dont have 49$ to blow, so is there any other solutions or anything before i am forced to pay it?

In my company's Active Directory, we specify our phone numbers with international dialing codes. So all of my team members in the UK's numbers are showing up as 44 xxxx etc. On other phones, namely an HTC Windows phone, there's a feature that still allows you to make calls to numbers with the international dialing codes.
Basically I'm looking for the feature that auto calls numbers that have 44 in front of them, otherwise I am going to have to manually edit every phone number in my contact list (well over 300).

Posting on behalf of my brother who got a nokia 6303 with vodafone uk in november 2009.He previously has had a nokia 6300 phone with o2.
He has had trouble sending texts to US from UK (the texts are not getting to US person). Tried several things that vodafone have suggested and nothing has worked - today he is out to collect a new sim card from them. And if that fails, its a problem with phone.
I have tried to do an update to the firmware (vodafone suggested trying) but the version on the phone is 8.* something and nokia pc suite (OVI suite and nokia updater) software all say its the latest one available so no update possible.
I have googled to see some pages mentioning version 10.10 for nokia 6303 - if that exists, its not updating the phone when I try.
So really have no idea why international texting is not working with this phone. The o2 sim was also tried in the phone and it too failed to send the international text even the sim works and sends texts ok in other phones.
I purchased a iphone from malaysia few months back, then I moved to united kingdom. Herhe in UK I can do the setting in the iphone to hide my caller id. settings->Phone->show my caller Id.
When I call local numbers with in UK the reciever of call is not able to see my number "BLOCKED" appears to the caller. however when I call to someone in India then the reciever is able to see my number on the phone.

i acquire a blackberry bold 9900 from and independent seller, however the device its brick and the solutions so far havent work. i need to make use of the warranty the only problem its that im in spain, and the seller also tell me that they wont receive the unit to trammit the warranty?

I have an AT&T account but I've been in New Zealand for a few weeks now. I have unlimited international data (the old plan they don't offer anymore) but I was thinking maybe there was something with roaming on the networks down here that's prohibiting me from downloading it. Does anyone know if it should work anyway or will I have to just wait until I'm back in the US?

I have also activated with them international calling. but for some reason i am not able to make international calls, but i can send international text messages and receive calls from other countries than china.
when i change the sim card to another phone, i am able to make international calls. is there something wrong with the settings of my BB or something with China unicom? (it seems with the some, bu ti really do not know what???)

View 2 Replies View Relatedi've been having one problem after another, i just security wiped my phone and i went to restore from my last backup. but my contacts didnt restore back onto the phone! i have no idea why it is not restoring back onto my phone. it is just greyed out when i try to restore in the desktop software. i have a mac btw. and i also lost all my bbm contacts because the last email i used to store my contacts was closed so i can no longer access it, if there are anyway to get those back please tell! i feel if i am able to restore contacts i can get them back!

The installed software version is 5.0.0.351 with platform 5.1.0.98 and branding version 1.0.160.529q.I have read in this forum that there is a later version of the os available yet when I utilized the BB desktop software updater, it say that the latest version is installed. Is this correct?

I was told to put the phone on airplane mode, so as to avoid any roaming charges, as my fellow travel companions (who all also owned iPhones), said "that way nothing comes through. No wi-fi, messages, nothing".

The procedure for sending an international text message is simple: enter 011, followed by the country code, and then the phone number. It has never worked. Each time, I get the following error message -- "Message Send Failure". Any ideas for fixing this problem? What surprises me most is that I have an HTC Trophy with the same Mobile Service provider. No problem exists with the HTC Trophy for sending international text messages.
