BB Bold :: Temporary White Screen On 9780?
Feb 6, 2012Today, a white screen started appearing on my Blackberry. I've almost never dropped it (maybe twice in my life, with the cover on it), but it have been through rough cold temperature (-15 while snowboarding or skating), if this information can help.
The screen first black out (it's kinda grey-ish with lots of vertical lines, mainly black, some whites and a few colored) then turns white with ONE pink vertical line. Really weird. I try to make it disappear by clicking on the lock buttons multiple times and on the shortcuts key, sometimes on the track pad, and the screen becomes perfectly normal sometimes. Except when I press the shortcuts key, there's a big rectangle (not full screen but almost) where the text is blurred... Sometimes it disappears, or black out again. I tried to restore a previous back up file: didn't work, tried to reboot it by removing the battery: failed.

May 31, 2012A message comes up every time I try to download something from App world saying : an error occurred with app world, it must close now. Does anyone have a solution to this? My BB is a Bold 9900.

Oct 18, 2012I can't sem to reset my e-mail on maxis.blackberry.com. Got an error message: "An error occurred during email account validation. Please check the information and try again. If the error persists, inform the subscriber to contact their email account provider." I've never encountered this problem until now. Have been using the blackberry for 2 years now. I've been re-setting my e-mail account off and on when I have problem receiving mails. But since deleting the e-mail from the web this afternoon, I can't seem to re-set it again. Please help. Maxis technical people have tried and there's nothing they could do. My web-hosting guys checked on their end and everything is clear. I have tried setting the same e-mail on iPad and it works. It's a blackberry problem.

I can sign in to BB App World but when I select > My World I get the Error Message: "APP World Web Plugin Error - An Error has occurred communicating with the BB App World Client." I am connecting my 9900 in order to sync my apps with App World following a security wipe to resolve the BB ID Issue with OS7.( The security wipe does resolve the BB ID issue). I have the same problem when I have connected using 2 different PCs. One running Chrome the other Running Firefox.

Jul 23, 2010I thought everyone might like this one. My wife has incredible problems with the proximity sensor on her i4, and last night she came up with a solution. I thought it was pretty clever, so I am passing it on here. She said that when she was in a call somehow she got switched to contacts (we all now how this happens, but she was unsure what she had done to make it happen) and had the green bar at the top (press to go back to active phone call bar). I explained she had gone into the contacts section of the phone while on a call. She found that since the phone activities were no longer on the screen, no more mutes, hang-ups, face dials, etc. occurred for her no matter what she did. So for the time being her resolution (although this is basic, it will work for everyone) is to leave the active call, while still on the call, to keep the phone actions from being activated by her face while on a call. it works for her, makes her happy, and we were able to talk for an hour without any of the past problems (she is across the country and no where near an Apple store to have them look at it, so in the meantime this will work for her). So if you find yourself in this position, it may be a handy work around in the meantime while waiting for the official fix from Apple. I just though it was a clever idea (usually she doesn't think about things like this) and since it works for her and enables her to make calls without problems, I am ecstatic (at least maybe she will stop complaining about the issue, yet I have to remind her that SHE was the one that wanted the phone so bad, and now she has it so bad!)

BB Bold :: Connecting To Server And Email Setup Error?
Jan 23, 2012I am trying to set up on a used BB bold 9700 i just bought my personal email using teh Email set up. I am receiving a message with the following: first it says connecting to email settings for about 1 minute..... then it shows your device had a problem connecting to the server, try again. and shows always the same.It is not tmobile, all other work great, calls, browser, etc.

Dec 5, 2011Good day. I'm a very happy Blackberry customer but I have a bit of a problem though. Facebook is a everyday encounter and I use it mostly for business purposes. My Blackberry encounters an error every time i access Facebook mobile as I don't use the app. The error reads: "Exceeded maximum redirect attempts to server m.facebook.com." It's funny though as it only does this with a particular facebook account. I Restored the device to factory settings and most common troubleshooting operations have been performed. If you wait for an hour or so, it suddenly comes back up and works without any issue for several hours. Then, you wait for a little bit and the screen goes blank again.
