Apr 11, 2010I have nokia 5800 with latest firm ware v40, when i do call to somebody, i can hear the sound, but on the another side, cant hear me speak, he/she said my voice so slowly. i think in the first time is network problem, but change mobile phone, its okay.... so i think the problem is my nokia 5800, when i test with recorder application, i found that its very slowly, i try with the same voice and same volume with another phone, its good, so i think i have problem with my nokia 5800, especially with microphone. can somebody help me what to do? should replace firmware ? or this is hardware damage?

BB Bold :: Can't Hear Other Person
Apr 11, 2012Suddenly, I can no longer hear other person on the Bold 9700 phone, unless I plug in headset, or sometimes it works activating the speaker phone. Tried rebooting, upgrading OS to 6.0 and cleaning headphone jack with alcohol dipped q-tip stick. Speaker works fine in media mode.

Sep 27, 2012I have got this problem with my Bold 9700 - if I make or recieve calls, I can't hear anything unless I put the phone on speakerphone. It did this the other night and seemed to revert back to normal once I'd swtiched from speakerphone to handset. It's now started playing up again and has been like this for the past 2 days.

Oct 11, 2012This first happened about two weeks ago. I did a hard reset, and that fixed it at that time. It did it again today, and this time the hard reset did not help. I updated the OS to the newest service pack, and that didn't help either. Also, practically needless to say, but the mute is not on, and the settings are all as they should be.

I disconnected the head phones and used the phone directly and also using the speaker, but I still could not be heard.

Jun 29, 2012I have an iPhone 4 and over the last few days I can't hear anyone when they call me or when I call them, however they can hear me. I have been using skype to call people on the phone via 3g and that works fine. It started as crackling and static on the line initally but now there is no sound at all. I've tried cleaing out the charger port and headphones jack, checked all volumes, restarted the phone and changed sim card but still to no avail.

Jan 21, 2012BB is Bold 9900. When making a call I can't hear the caller. But when using headset or speaker I can hear it clearly. I tried deleting everything back to factory settings using Wipe Data but didn't help. Also trying to plugin and out the headset several times but doesn't help either.
