BB Bold :: Lost Functionality After USA To Australia Move
Jun 8, 2012
I got my BB Bold 9900 in the US from T-Mobile. I moved to Australia and now have a local carrier SIM card. I aven't been able to access BB Protect or access my emails (Gmail servers) or be able to use my 9900 as a hot spot.
I noticed the the other day that the left button on my s5 has stopped working and no longer pulls up the open applications. This means I can no longer clear them out or toggle from one app to the other? What is causing this? Im using Next Launcher.
I had everything working fine on 5.0.592 for a week or more. I tried to restore some contacts from a prev backup and now all the sudden my email functionality is messed up. I have it linked to my GMAIL acct. Things I noticed since that contact backup is now when i go to delete a message, it will not prompt to delete from device only or device and inbox Also I can hit reply on some, but when I go to send, there is no send option. And lastly when I delete from my phone, it does not mark as read or delete from my inbox. i checked all the settings I can find. But nothing changed.
Whenever I try to browse the internet using my phone's browser, It always say " Your browser's cookie functionality is turned off. Turn it on". What should I do?
What I finding is happening is that images (captured with the camera in the DCIM folder) and MP3s are being removed and placed into the LOST.DIR folder of the SD Card (internal memory isn't a problem). For example, the most recent occurrence was where by I copied on 4GB of music onto the phone and then a short time later after disconnecting the USB cable, I found that quite a number (2.7GB) of the files disappeared into the LOST.DIR folder.
I verified that the files were the orignal MP3's by changing the extension of the files to .mp3 and was able to play the file. Other times I've taken a photo with the camera and saved the JPG on the SD card, a few days later the file disappeared. The problem has occurred on Android version 2.3.5 and even now after updating to 2.3.6. I don't have any 3rd party music or photo apps. The SD Card is a 32GB Kingston class 10 card which I formatted in the phone before copying any data to it.
I am looking to buy a iPhone 4s as a gift for a friend in Thailand will a phone purchased in Australia be suitable or should I purchase it from apple store Thailand
I know the E5 has already been release in the UK (July 30th) but when is it due to be released in Australia? It seems like the "coming soon" tag has been allocated to this phone for months now.
the countdown thing on this website is to announce that the n900 is coming to australia. it will only be available from Nokia repair centres, the RRP is $1499
I've purchased a Softbank Japanese iPhone 3GS 16GB off eBay and I thought it was unlocked by when I just re-read the message from the seller I received it said not unlocked.I read what I wanted to read though and read unlocked.So.I was just wondering, is there any possibility that I'll be able to get my iPhone working in Australia under Vodafone? Ever? I'm willing to do anything atm.
I recently purchased a Nokia 2730 in the UK. It was fitted with a pre-paid "3" network SIM card at the time of purchase. When our holiday was over I brought the phone back with me to Australia. I was told in the UK that this phone would work in Australia provided I fitted an Australian "3" network SIM card. Today, the new SIM card was fitted here in Australia but the phone still doesn't work. Any ideas would be very welcome - before I throw the phone in the garbage.
My new unlocked Pearl will receive 3G in a different location to my home but at home the tower that connects me is 900Mhz only and I cannot get 3g. Can get 2g ok. Another sim with same provider will get 3g in their phone but when in my phone will not get 3g. So issue is my phone only. Is there a setting somewhere that resticts me from receiving 900Mhz 3g? Or is there something I can do to receive 3GI use Optus as the provider and have confirmed that 900Mhz is all they use on the local tower.I have tried the reboot option i.e. removing battery whilst turned on to no avail.Details of phone :V 9100 Smartphone 3g WiFi v5.0.0.623 (Bundle 1083 Platform 6.2.0.46 3 Bands 1,2,5,6Cryptographic Kernel v3.8.5.85 Branding version 1.0.122.567

Everything was okay, i downloaded the desktop software which gave me instructions but then when it came time to rebooting my phone....>like you know doing the whole battery pull out process<..... i saw that although the upgrade seem to have been successful there is no movement on the screen because the Color ID App is requesting permission orwhatever.....idk........... the message takes over almost the whole screen and says : Application Permissionsthe application Color ID has requested a http connection to rest.motekmobile.com.*box* Do not ask for http*box* Do not ask for http torest.motekmobile.comI still see the theme that i had before on the screen and it moves, so the screen didn't freeze, all nubs on the phone work but when i try to move the trackpad over to the deny button it doesn't move AT ALL!
I am changing from a 9700 to a 9790. I have a ton of contacts in the old phone's internal memory and need to move them all to the SIM card so I can pass the info into the new phone. Is there a way to copy all the contacts at once to the SIM card? Otherwise I'll spend a week moving them one by one.
I just got the new 9900... I was trying to move my bbm contacts from one device to the other but have now moved everything from my old phone to the new... I was wondering if there was a way to reset the 9900 to factory settings with out wiping the device. I just don't like what happened to the icon (all my email icons have gone missing)
I thought it would be a problem with the trackball, however, the trackball moves in all directions. The cursor and on-screen highlights do not. I am allowed to move in all directions on the screen except down. This hinders me from reading mails and moving to other applications/areas in order to even troubleshoot the problem myself. When i move the trackball left or right, the cursor moves left or right. When I move the trackball up, the cursor moves up. When I move the trackball down, the cursor moves UP! What could be the problem here. The thing just isn't working.
Just joined Blackberry and have a problem : I have not been able to move my calendar entries to a new time and/or date and have not been able to find any tips on this in the user manual. As the software on the cheapest Nokia phones permits this it would be rather odd for Blackberry not to have thought about this. Seems a silly waste of time to re-enter an existing alarm. Can anyone help ?
Have read posts on the forums page. My pics are stored on my card. The forum says to go to the home page and click on options, when I do that my options are to 1. Universal Search, 2. Change wallpaper, 3. # of icon rows, 4. downloads folder, and 5. Reset to default settings. No option for Memory and therefore no options to "auto enable mass storage mode when connected"
I have a weired problem on my new 9900 (Vodafone, 7.0.0.296): Once I downloaded any app from the AppWorld I can not move it to any other place on the homescreen (not even to another folder). Every App which already was on the device when I got it is movable.
