BB Pearl :: Unable To Receive 3g In Australia On 900Mhz
Oct 4, 2011
My new unlocked Pearl will receive 3G in a different location to my home but at home the tower that connects me is 900Mhz only and I cannot get 3g. Can get 2g ok. Another sim with same provider will get 3g in their phone but when in my phone will not get 3g. So issue is my phone only. Is there a setting somewhere that resticts me from receiving 900Mhz 3g? Or is there something I can do to receive 3GI use Optus as the provider and have confirmed that 900Mhz is all they use on the local tower.I have tried the reboot option i.e. removing battery whilst turned on to no avail.Details of phone :V 9100 Smartphone 3g WiFi v5.0.0.623 (Bundle 1083 Platform 6.2.0.46 3 Bands 1,2,5,6Cryptographic Kernel v3.8.5.85 Branding version 1.0.122.567
I have just had a replacement handset, pearl 9105... everything is working fine but not my emails. I have had the activation notice saying they will start in a about 20mins, that was 12 hrs ago. I am using mobile internet and wifi, as i did with no problems on my old handset, although it is saying that i am not connected to the blackberry enterprise server?
I have a pearl flip 8220, File free = 68,920,695 bytes . It 's 3 months old, and suddenly stopped recieving calls. Other thibgs are working just fine, I am able to make calls and all. But when an incoming call is coming, it rings once and then hangs up on the caller. On the display it shows 1 missed call... why is my bb hanging up on people and not letting me talk?
My service provider is T-Mobile, but I had no problem with this on my previous phone.Under service book, I have MMS Config, but I have nothing under Host Routing Table. I have tried clicking on "Register Now", but then it says "Registration Message Sent"... Where is it sending this message? My plan has the capability of sending and receiving MMS, and I have no data plan. I am also not on any kind of enterprise server.
I am currently in Canada, Toronto on a business trip but I live in TN and i have never had a problem with my sms until I got here. I have lost my SMS icon and is not able to receive my msg and when i go in to view folder and try to pull up sms inbox I get this message-Uncaught exception: java.lang.NullPointerException. I don't know what that means.
I just bought a Pearl 3G 9105 and I love it! But I cannot transfer my contacts from my old phone! I read all type of guide but cannot solve the problem! I got version 5.0.0.884! Instead I can send my Pearl's contact to my old phone!
I just updated to the 6.0 bundle and now my pearl does not play a sound when I receive a text message. The option to even change the tone it is supposed to play is gone out of the menu. I have tried restoring and re installing the software and resetting the device numerous times. Sometimes it will come back for a short amount of time then disappear again. I also get the error message uncaught exception:java.lang.nullpointerexception from time to time. Anyone else have this issue know of a PERMANENT fix? I am ready to throw it under a moving vehicle.
I am looking to buy a iPhone 4s as a gift for a friend in Thailand will a phone purchased in Australia be suitable or should I purchase it from apple store Thailand
I know the E5 has already been release in the UK (July 30th) but when is it due to be released in Australia? It seems like the "coming soon" tag has been allocated to this phone for months now.
the countdown thing on this website is to announce that the n900 is coming to australia. it will only be available from Nokia repair centres, the RRP is $1499
I've purchased a Softbank Japanese iPhone 3GS 16GB off eBay and I thought it was unlocked by when I just re-read the message from the seller I received it said not unlocked.I read what I wanted to read though and read unlocked.So.I was just wondering, is there any possibility that I'll be able to get my iPhone working in Australia under Vodafone? Ever? I'm willing to do anything atm.
I recently purchased a Nokia 2730 in the UK. It was fitted with a pre-paid "3" network SIM card at the time of purchase. When our holiday was over I brought the phone back with me to Australia. I was told in the UK that this phone would work in Australia provided I fitted an Australian "3" network SIM card. Today, the new SIM card was fitted here in Australia but the phone still doesn't work. Any ideas would be very welcome - before I throw the phone in the garbage.
I got my BB Bold 9900 in the US from T-Mobile. I moved to Australia and now have a local carrier SIM card. I aven't been able to access BB Protect or access my emails (Gmail servers) or be able to use my 9900 as a hot spot.

I am unable to open attachments from one individual at a particular company, but I am able to open email attachments from other individuals at the same company. Prior to the start of this problem I was able to open attachments from this individual. I am trying to open these email attachments through my AOL account on my Pearl. I am also unable to open these attachments when I logon to AOL with my laptop; they show up on the new mail list but when I open the email, no attachment shows up. Is this an AOL problem or a Blackberry problem?
Currently I have:BlackBerry Handheld Software v5.0.0.1323 (Multilangauge) Package Version: 5.0.0.1323Consisting of:Applications: 5.0.0.783Software Platform: 6.2.0.751. I tried to download the latest software from here: [URL]
2. Installed on my PC before connecting the device
3. Deleted Vendor.xml from C:Program FilesCommon FilesResearch In MotionAppLoader
4. Connected device and closed BB Desktop Software
5. Executed Loader.exe from the same place
6. It was connected to device and showed me a list with all the applications installed on it
7. I clicked next
8. No actions are required
9. Click on Finish and no change to OS
I tried to do all this with internet and Ethernet cable unplugged, no change.
Over the past few months my home wifi settings has been turning off , started off now and then now it will not turn on. It shows that it connected to my home network but no 'tick' just a white 'dash' showing that the handset is not active. I have taken out the battery and rebooted, deleted and re-installed my home network, in fact I have tried everything I could think of without any luck. I Googled 'Blackberry wifi problems' and to my surprise I was given lists of posts of the same problem as mine. From what I have read this is a KNOWN software problem which has been happening on nearly all BB handset for quite a few years yet nothing seems to have been done.
I recently bought a BlackBerry 8230 for Verizon. I charged the battery and turned on the phone and it would not pick up signal. At the top of the screen is says service required and has an X next to the signal indicator. I am running OS 4.6.I've tried pulling out the battery, going into manage connections and turning it on (the box never will check) and tried to register in the host routing tables all to no avail. I've also tried wiping the device and restoring the OS.
I am using a Pearl Flip 8220 (T-Mobile unlocked version) in INDIA.Recently I gave the handset for OS reloading as I was getting a 'Call Failed' message frequently. None of the repair shops could resolve the issue & hence I decided to wipe the existing OS (on my own) and reload the latest one by downloading it from BB website for my carrier (Airtel). I wiped the existing OS using BBSAK and tried loading the OS.But since then I have been facing issues and not able to do it. While trying to load the OS, the handset restarts automatically, for some reason, and the loading ends abruptly. I have observed that this happens while the applicaion tries to load 'net_rim_cldc.cod'.
