I was told that I needed to update my device software to a more recent build, after around .3xx, not sure which. But when I try to update my device software through the BlackBerry webpage or the Desktop Manager, they are both telling me that my device software is up to date. How can I update my device software to a more recent build on OS 7.1?

May 18, 2015Although I have it so power saving mode doesn't officially 'click on' until battery is at 20%, should I be leaving the icon on at all times? I guess what I'm confused on is, does it really enable as soon as I click power saving or does it basically say it's ready to go, not on, but will click on at 20%?

Jul 3, 2010So you know normally you will get a message when your battery is low that says "Battery too low for radio use" and the radio comes off. Well twice that stopped happening. Battery was low but instead of getting the message, my phone just cuts off like if the battery is dead. Any explanation as to why this is happening? It happened two out of two times.

Sep 25, 2012So I am having a very strange problem. I have been using the Situations App (formerly Nokia Situations) to automatically put my phone into offline mode, and power saving mode over night. 9pm to 6:30am.Recently the phone as started refusing to leave the offline mode in the morning. Even if I try to change the profile manually it says "Unable to change profile". The only way I can get out of offline mode is to reboot.I uninstalled Situations, and manually put the phone into offline mode and power saving mode. By the morning I had the same issue, stuck in offline mode until reboot. So it's not the App causing the problem. I've tried a soft reset, same problem still.
I also noticed that over-night (from fully charged before 9pm) to 6:30am I used about 70% of my charge. (A combination of power saving mode and offline mode is killing my battery!)I would have to go to work and immediately put my phone on charge! I.e.. 12 hours of offline + power save has drained my battery almost completely.Last night I decided to use the Situations App to put the phone into offline mode, BUT NOT activate power save mode.This morning the phone had virtually full charge and it had no problem returning to online mode.So it's ONLY if I use BOTH power-save and offline. (Tonight I will try using power-saving mode and NOT offline mode to see if it's only the power-saving mode causing the issue!)If I manually enter offline+power-save mode, and then try to return to on-line/non-power-save mode, relatively quickly, i.e.. Not over-night, everything is fine. It's only over night the problems start!
BB Bold :: 9900 - Battery Too Low For Radio Use When Hits 25 Percent
Jan 15, 2012I have a bold 9900 and as soon as the battery life hits 25% it says battery to low for radio use but as soon as I plug the charger in it fires back up to 40%..does anyone know as to how I can fix this fault? Also every now and again the phone freezes and then a bit background appears with error in the middle of the screen?

Xperia X10 :: Cannot Find FM Radio App?
Nov 22, 2010Why can I not find the 'FM Radio' application for X10i? My old (K800i) SE phone had an FM radio built in and I got used to listening to as I do my rounds as I work (I have a walking job, some 8miles a day). The wifi/3G radio apps aren't what I need - I'm specifically after the one that requires you to have the earphones in to act as the antenna. I had assumed it simply didn't exist, so gave up.
But the other day I bought my daughter an X8 - which I understand is a 'lesser' machine than the X10. And it has the old FM Radio app built in! So why does a cheaper phone have something so simple but the X10 doesn't - and seems impossible to locate? I've hunted on the Market for it, but cannot locate the 'offical' one - but keep finding nasty looking apps that either need money or useless wifi/3g ones. I'm not after an 'internet radio' app, I need a real FM app.

Aug 21, 2010Checked the forum and did not find any on this post! Ran my battery down to 4% and radio did not turn off. Has Rim done away with this feature? Not very often i have the battery down this low, and i know it is not good for the battery. I just wanted to see if it would turn off. I plugged my phone in at 4% so I did not run the battery any lower. I thought it was at 5% that it would turn off. Is the percentage lower? Or is RADIO OFF gone?

Jun 18, 2011I bought yesterday a Nokia X2-00 and been exploring it for a while, so far so good, pretty happy and satisfied with it, but there's a problem that bothers and I can't seem to find a solution for it. About the screen-saver, I can, for example, put it as a digital clock, and set a timer for when the phone to switch to screen-saver mode. Problem is, I don't seem to find anywhere an option to play with the sleep mode - no matter what, about 10 seconds after the screen saver goes active, the screen goes totally black (goes into sleep mode) and I need to press a button to wake it up. No digital clock display, no nothing.I need to be able to see the clock (and possibly an icon for missed calls/new texts) without having to touch a button. On all my old phones you could play with both screen saver/power saving/sleep mode options, but not here. What can I do?

Feb 16, 2015I turned the Ultra Power Saving Mode and after sending a few text messages locking and unlocking the phone it froze for a moment so I restarted the phone. Now It shows me the normal home screen and I can access my apps page but everything is turned off and I cannot turn Ultra Saving Mode off. I tried manually turning it off, restarting it, taking the battery off and putting it back on.
I also performed the soft reset using the Volume Up/Power/Home method and when I click to clear the partition it gives me an error.
