I backed up my blackberry bold contacts to my mac. They are saved in my documents folder although when I try to open the file I receive an error message saying I don't have an app to open file. When I try to find an application to open the doc file such as Word I get another message saying the file is corrupt and can not be opened. What can I do to make sure the contacts from the phone are actually in my mac?

I am running windows 7 and backed them up in March before I had to send the phone away to be fixed. It has taken a month to get it back, it has been a total nightmare and now I dont have any of my numbers. It takes 4 to 8 seconds depending on phone congestion to open it i.e. when you hit the phone icon on menu first appers a black screen and than only few minutes after you can call someone. It is a bit uncomfortable when you try call someone, especially if it is urgent, your phone's primary function doesn't work fast. And phone's physical qwerty keyboard changed to azerty.

I recently got a replacement iphone and backed up all my contacts on icloud to the phone. I had over 200 contacts saved. This morning I had all of my contacts, now they are gone. My phone was in my locker the entire day, I did not touch any settings. Now my contacts are gone! I even went to icloud on the internet and they aren't there any more!

I backed up my phone thro Itunes as it wanted me to upgrade to os 5.1.1 followed instructions and it backed up with it's own password (god knows from where) so now it asks me for a password that I dont know. Its eaten my contacts and I cant get them back. I have tried putting in my itunes password , I have tried putting in my laptop password , no joy on any of them.

When you sync your contacts to your PC using the Moto Phone Portal, does anyone know whereabouts that contact data is saved on your computer?I have recently switched to a new computer but have a backup of everything from the old one. I was going to update my BB Curve 8330 software. I read the directions and followed them and after I backed up and it said the back up was successful I tried to update the software and it said that failed so I restored everything back onto my phone and guess what? Address book is gone! So far that's the only thing I can find that didn't restore but I'm still looking. Is there anything that I can do that I am not techno-savvy enough to have realized or are they just gone? If they're just gone then fine whatever I'm not going to freak out.

Recently when I get an email, the sound goes off and the red led flashes like it's supposed to be. If I don't check it right away and check it like 30 minutes later, I go to the messages folder as usual and the email is in the list there, but the envelope icon shows that it's already opened. I didn't open it yet, and nobody else did either.

Ever since updating my OS to version 6.x from 5x OS I can no longer open a mms with a pic/video and sound bite simultaneously. i.e. If someone sends a video with sound file or a picture with sound file, it used to open simultaneously. Now it only shows as a separate pic/vid to open and separate sound file to open. It used to work before the upgrade and no longer works. I tried every which I can to change setting on my phone but no matter what it always separates the file.

It wanted to do an update while I was in a wifi zone and then thigns started going wrong from that day.So what happens is i'll be scanning thru the icons and they'll just open without me clicking on them. Also, when texting or using bbm, my msg will send without me clicking send. So I will be half done a msg and it'll send. Finally, I've tried to battery out, restore, and all those classic quick fix optoins and they haven't worked.
