BB Bold :: Battery Stuck At 1%?
Nov 25, 2011
my battery drains really quickly then sits at 1% for hours and hours and hours.
It does this with multiple batteries and the batteries work fine in other peoples phones. I've updated my phones software and still no luck.

Last night my phone died, and I left it charging overnight. I'm not sure if it was even charging properly because when I woke up this morning there was no indicator light on. (green or red).
When I try to turn the phone on it just keeps booting to the htc splash then turning black, before repeating the process. I've tried recovery and factory reset from the bootloader but those did absolutely nothing.
Btw I've never rooted my phone or anything like that. It's 100% stock from when I got it.

In the past few days I've noticed my battery has been on 100% alot lately. I was thinking that I just have a great battery until it started dying for no reason. I thought I had a full charge. Now I realize that even though the meter says 100%, I really don't know how much battery life I have left. I have drained the battery and then recharged fully, rebooted, and it didn't seem to change anything. When draining the battery, I noticed that when it went into the shutdown process, A quick look at the battey meter showed that it said it was at 1% before it shut down. The battery life is fine I think. It will go for a long time before dying but it never leaves 100%.

I plugged my iPhone in and thought it wasn't charging as the battery indicator didn't go up. I realised shortly after that once I restarted the phone it then showed the correct reading. Then the battery display stopped working completely unless I once again restarted the phone. In an attempt to make the display work again I went into settings and reset it. However although this did update the battery it didn't make the display work. So I then performed a hard reset holding down the on/off button and home at the same time with the same result. I also noticed before I did a hard reset the battery was on 35%. After the reset it was on 45%. I plugged the phone into my MacBook and it went up to 65% straight away. I unplugged it and for a short while could still look at the battery life by restarting the phone. Now however this has also stopped working and the battery won't change through any reset either. I charged the phone up to 100% through my MacBook in some hope of jogging it into working again but this has also failed. The phone is now stuck on 100%. I have already restored the phone because of a different issue and I doubt restoring it again would help. The only other solution I know of that I haven't tried is draining the battery then recharging the phone up to 100% again to try to recalibrate the display.

Today i forgot to bring my iphone with me, when i came home i noticed that my iphone did not respond to the power button. I have tried several solutions like putting it in DFU Mode, reset, leaving it charged on my desktop/wall for no less than 2 hrs etc and of course its jailbroken, i also tried booting it in tethered mode but these dont work.

I Bought my husband a white iPhone 5c yesterday for his birthday. Last night he put it on the charger and it fully charged to 100%. Today, it got down to 67% and hasn't moved since about 2 pm today. It's now 8:39pm. It will show that it ran ouT of battery life and show the screen with the battery and little lightening bolt. When he plugs it up it will turn right back on to 67%. We have tried the reset, (hold home button & lock button) it did not work. Now, we're trying to run it down. And it's actually coming down. We are playing music threw a aux cord, have wifi & Bluetooth on and it jumped to 43%.

trying to get the damn thing to charge, plug, unplug, check its still charging, its stopped, repeat process, never fully charges. Got a new charger for it, had ONE full charge then had the same problems. Hard reset the other day and is now worse than ever. Last night it was charging for ages, came back to find it at 0% even though it was still merrily flashing to say it was charging, clearly it is not. Left over night to find it had died altogether, cue the usual hours and hours of trying everything to get it to come back on,heating, soft reset, hard reset, unplugging, trying various places to plug in, all usb ports etc blah to then get stuck in the infinite reboot cycle.A zillion hard resets later it finally comes on, leave it to charge a little before going through the set up, there was a small amount of charge, come back to do set up and its gone back down to 0% of its own accord.

I'm having a very frustrated issue with my Nexus 5 d820. The battery indicator suddenly stuck -for days- on random numbers like 93%, 88% but most of the time it's stuck on 100%. It does recognizes that I'm charging, but the values aren't changing.
Things I've tried:
Installing a third party battery monitors like Gsam A complete drain, complete charge.
Replacing the Battery to a new one
Wipe to Factory / Wipe Cache
Install a brand new rom using fastboot
Install TWRP, Root

What else can it be? is there an hardware part which is in charge of the battery indicator which I can replace?

I Had a new battery installed in my iPhone 5 today and the battery charge has not increased at all. Still at 16% the same as it was when I got it back 3 hours ago. Is it's to be expected or do I need to return to the Apple store?

I purchased this z2 just this december and its acting weird for a month now.. It took me awhile figuring out why the unit just shuts down even if the battery percentage was considerably high. The true percentage level only shows up after i press the little thingy on the side for reset..

Used the new Moto Turbo Charger (Quick Charge 2.0) charger with success on my M8 when it was Sense. Now I've converted it to a GPE edition, and 2 of the 3 times I've used the charger since, the battery meter becomes stuck during/after the charge. Once at 64%, once at 80%. Restarting the phone gets it working again.
So I'm thinking the battery has become uncalibrated? Would draining it to 0%, then charging it non stop to 100% be away to fix this? One site said wipe the cache partition and Dalvik cache. Another suggested something with both volume keys that wipes the battery memory.

As I was talking on my Razr v3 yesterday, I experienced what I thought was just another typical of many AT&T dropped calls. However, upon further inspection, I noticed my phone had gone into boot loader mode for no apparent reason. It's done this on a couple of occasions. Once after it was accidentally dropped and another when I turned it off (then back on) because I was on a plane trip. I've been able to get it back to normal by just power cycling it until it booted. This time no such luck and the screen says the battery is 'too low to program' so if I wanted to attempt to flash it which is something I have NEVER done, I couldn't even do it due to the low battery. This is the only Razr I have and I don't know anyone that still uses one so I don't have one available to put my battery in to charge. Is this the only way to charge the battery? Is it not possible to charge it with the power off?

iPhone 4s battery stuck at 100 percent. How do I get it back to normal? Ever since the update, I am having issues with the battery. Phone shuts down while it still shows 100 percent battery life. Normally not a big deal because I don't use it all the time but lately an issue when I'm working in Manhattan and it shuts down while in the middle of conversation or emailing. I can't go around charging it every hour wondering what my battery life really is.

so i charged it the red LED start to show and white screen with battery icon in the middle it looks like empty battery, and stuck on it and sometimes it keeps spinning over and over again until it bcome black screen then it starts the same begining I tried the hard boot by taking the battery out for sometime and reinstalled it but it didn't work. I even try putting a different battery (friends battery) but still no joy.. and the main catch is if i try taking out the battery and plug the charger or connects it to the laptop it does the same thing without even any battery in it.So is it really a Battery problem or the OS problem.?? (If its a OS problem, can u install it myself at home.?

Several flashing attempts failed. Now i'm stuck in the "bootloader usb init" screen.(but thats another problem i'm trying to get help with in another thread.)I started with a fully charged good battery, but after hours of trying to get this thing back into verizon by flashing it with VRZ_E815_01.1E.0R_PRIii09574_MONSTER_01.shx , i believe i'm outa juice, well the battery is.So I plugged it in the charger, it's still in the bootloader mode and on! Now.It's been about 4 hrs, but the phone still turns off after displaying 'hello moto' for 1 second(when charger is unplugged), which make it impossible to try fixing the flashing problem.
QUESTION:
How do i know that/if the battery is charging while in the bootloader state?.. or is this phone turning it self off, not a battery problem at all, but has something to do with the failed flashing... a dead phone?

Hey, my battery meter (the stock ICS one) is stuck at 90%.Did a 7 hour trip yestereday with several phone calls and when I went to system, battery it showed 90% after like 12 hours off the charger, including a hour of phone calls and I know that's not right. The phone calls do not show up as taking any power. This morning after several reboots still shows 90%.

Phone needed a battery pull last night as it froze in the middle of sending a picture message. This happens a LOT I'm afraid. Typically, it boots right up, loads the software, my screen comes up, my icons come back and I'm in business. I am stuck in a boot loop it seems. The BB logo comes up, the bar loads about 2/3 of the way, then the red light comes on and it shuts off. Phone starts back up and does the same thing over and over and over. It also won't turn off (unless I just pull the batter out, but when replaced, the same thing keeps happening). I can't load the OS again through the BB Desktop Manager because the process is halted each time the phone turns itself off again.

I recently upgraded to v5.0.0.411 and have had almost no problems so far. One problem I have had though is whenever I do a battery pull my battery instantly says it's drained upon starting back up. Today it went from 50% to 15% after one pull. I know it is a false reading because recently it went from around 50% to 3%(the yellow low battery light was flashing when I turned it back on as well), however, I was able to use the phone for hours after this and it remained at 3%. From what I've read I'm thinking this might be a problem with the battery or battery contacts? But it's strange that it started happening as soon as I upgraded my OS to 5.0. Any suggestions or info?

Whenever I do a battery pull my battery indication after reinsertion reads 0% and shows the battery as red. My battery indicator before the battery pull will read anywhere from 80% to 50% but after the battery pull the indicator changes to read zero and is shown in red. If I don't charge the phone it will die even though prior to the battery pull the charge was fine at 80% or so...
I'm pulling the battery because of memory shortages. I HAVE replaced the battery and I still get the same problem. Pulling the battery after this happens changes nothing. I've pulled the battery numerous times afterwards and I never get the battery indicator to read what it did before the battery pull. I don't dare pull the battery if I'm not near my charger as the phone will die in a matter of minutes...

Now that I have upgraded to 5.0 OS, what is the best battery app out there to advise when your battery gets to a certain level. I noticed on the 5.0 OS it gives no warning and when you reboot, it drains the battery fast. Twice after rebooting my battery was low and my BB just shuts off with NO warning. I grant you my battery was approx. 35% before rebooting. It seems that the battery monitor on the BB is not accurate.
