is there anyway to turn off threaded sms? or display the time w/ a time stamp instead of 'sent 1 min ago'if threaded can't be turned off, is there anyway to stop having the 'escape button' erase an entire convo when it is pressed??

View 8 Replies View RelatedMy Bold 9700 somehow refused to open email thread/conversation (means more than one email) with '{' character in the subject. Nothing happens when I click the thread. The phone itself doesn't freeze, i still can do other things.Anyone experienced this bug before?
FYI I use OS 5.0.0.656.
Battery pull (and I mean physical battery pull) didn't help.
If you are like me, you hate gmail's threaded conversations. Until the Android gmail app catches up with the browser based gmail interface (which makes threaded conversations an option), there is a work around. Suddenly this morning the wifi stop working. I'm unable to switch the wifi on even clicking on it many times. I have set a folder to store pics in on my media card. After moving all the pics to that folder I go back and under the tab All Pictures those same pictures that I moved to the folder on my media card are there also. I tried to delete those but it says the pictures are in use. How do I remove the pictures from the All Pictures folder? Also is there anyway to delete the Sample Pictures?
With computers I know you should un-install programs carefully and a certain way..I was wondering with my blackberry, is there a deifference weather I delete an App using my device, or using the Desktop Manager? Is one safer in the long run?

I get emails and can send emails, no problem. If I delete emails from BB, they delete in outlook BUT not the other way round. So if I delete emails in outlook they do not delete from my phone.
I DON'T run cache exchange mode on outlook, and therefore the emails I read on my outlook are not on a local pst folder. View 4 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked Bold 9700 running OS 5 that I used briefly with an international SIM card service from the UK, and then abroad with a totally different provider (on a corporate enterprise plan). I recently re-established residence in the US and am allowing my son to use the BB for now. We have a new SIM from AT&T that has never had a BB account provisioned on it. I did a full security wipe on the phone. The phone is still receiving mail from a yahoo.com account. When I go to Setup -> Personal Email Setup and then click "back" (so as not to set up a new account) I get a message "An email address does not currently exist for your Blackberry device" -- and yet I am still receiving messages on the yahoo.com account and can reply, check out folders, etc. When I check the Service Books, there is no listing for any service book associated with the email account; indeed, no CMIME listing at all.How can I remove email access to the yahoo.com account from this phone? How in the world is it still receiving emails?

I can make the change in the auto signature box, hit save, everything looks great. Except when I send messages it's still the old auto signature. If I go and click auto signature "off", the auto signature box goes away, everything looks great. Except when I send messages, the old auto signature is still being applied. I've reconciled, pulled the battery, did a quick on/off.

One thing I'm wondering though is can the application icons on the bottom of the main (wallpaper) screen be changed for other applications? This is the default theme that came with the phone, btw. I've seen screen shots of this theme with different application icons. I set up 2 emails on my phone and now my phone has the Messages icon, 2 email icons, SMS/MMS icon, Contacts icon, and Calendar icon. I'd like to be able to switch these around if possible. For instance, I only want to see the "overall" Messages icon, and replace the 2 email icons.
