The first week I had it I flew six times and on at least three or four of the flights, it turned itself on, usually shortly before landing. It was as if the mere proximity of a strong signal somehow convinced the device to turn itself on.It was properly turned off and holstered before takeoff and there was nothing scheduled that would trigger the auto-on function - in fact, when I turned it off I got the message that it would turn itself back on as scheduled the following.
