Just upgraded to a Bold 9900-am told cannot transfer contact list from Pearl to Bold because of new operating system for new Bold!
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have just purchased a Bold 9700, and everything is working fine except syncing the contacts from Outlook.
I am also syncing the Calender, which works fine, but when I sync the contacts also, I get the following error message ox80040Fb3
I have the latest software verson of the Blackberry User Tools, and I have tried un-installing and re-installing again, but the same error comes up.
If I only sync the contacts from the phone to Outlook then this works, but I cannot sync both ways or from Outlook to the phone. My last phone was a Blackberry Pearl, which I had no problems syncing with Outlook. The Blackberry User Tools Version for the Pearl was Version 4.3, which I re-installed and tried that, but I still got the same error.
I'm thinking it must be a problem with the software on the phone, as the problem didn't happen with my other Blackberry, and it's happening with both versions of software.
I am using Vista Home Premium, with Office XP. Does anyone have any ideas?
I own a BB bold 9700 and last night I exchanged phones with a friend, the sim and memory card was removed and then reinserted back in, when i turn on the phone, I realised that all my contacts were gone. I don't know what happened? Those that has to do with a different sim card inserted into the phone? Is it some kinda BB security lockdown software? I'm using the Celcom-Vodafone (Malaysia) package. Please help, I really need to get this working.

Checked for updates last night and woke up this morning with a notification that an OTA update is available for T-Mo. I went ahead and let the phone update this morning and it took about an hour. so i just went to send a text message just now and i type the person's name in that i want to send it to and notice there are duplicate entries in my phone book! What gives?! Can someone help me out here as to getting back single contact entries? NOTE: NOT ALL CONTACTS WERE DUPLICATED. NOTE: I was currently operating on the .586 OS now i'm at the most current version .7something
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen go into my contacts list and the first thing is the "New Contact:" space. Right under that it says "*No Contacts*" And then there are like 5 empty spaces, and only then are the contacts. When I try to save a new contact, it occupies all the empty spaces, and I would have 5 straight contacts with the same name! help!!
View 4 Replies View RelatedI just got the 9700. Great phone, but I'm having a problem with my contacts. I came from an Android HTC, so my contacts were synched up online in my google account. However, my email account has always been yahoo. So for the blackberry, I set up yahoo email, and all the contacts came through to the contact app (and I couldn't find any way to undo that). Then, solely for the purpose of getting my contacts onto the blackberry, I set up gmail. The contacts came through successfully.
The problem is that both sets are now displayed in the contacts, but I only want those from google. The yahoo contacts are only email contacts, so I only want them to come through in the email app.
In contacts, I went to menu - select contact list - google. This solved the problem, but only until I exited the app. As soon as I entered next time, both lists were reselected (show all contact lists).
I have my 9700, which i love, I receive email both from my corporate exchange and now from my gmail account. How ever, I've asked for my contacts to be synced with google as well, and as result all my contacts are double now.I am willing to let go of my gmail contact, but can seem to find a way to delete the entire list, any advice?

View 10 Replies View RelatedWhenever I hit the green phone button or go to the "Call Log" application my contact list comes up. I can no longer access my call log. If I miss a call I can select view and see my missed calls list but after that I cannot get back to the call log. I have not done anything out or the ordinary beyond phone calls and a few text messages. This is a 9700 Bold and I believe the OS is V5.

View 6 Replies View RelatedI unfortunately use Outlook as my contact manager. I would like to tether my bold to the laptop and use it as a modem dialer. Can do this with my Dell internal modem, but the company does not pay for long distance on my land line. Every thread I have read is always tethering for using to connect to the internet. I would imagine there are others who would like to do this.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 9700 Bold.I am running Oulook 2007 on my laptop. I have been synchronizing my contacts in Outlook with my 9700 without issue, using Blackberry Desktop Manager. However, I have now split my contacts within Outlook into two separate folders; one for my personal contacts and one for my business contacts. When I try to synchronize now manually, the Desktop Manager only reads my personal folder contacts and and asks to delete all my business contacts - which have been moved within Outlook out of that folder into the new business folder.Q. How can I set up a second, business, folder on my 9700 so that both folders will be synchronized when I next connect to the Desktop Manager?

View 1 Replies View Related1. power up both phones and make sure bluetooth is turned on in each phone
2. pair the phones (you have to put one of the phones in discoverable mode)
3. find the menu choice (usually in the bluetooth section) on the old phone that says something like "Send Name Card" or "Send Phonebook" or "Send Contact List" - (you may need to acknowledge or OK the transfer on the new phone)
4. Your full phonebook/contact list will be automagically be sent via bluetooth between the two phones in a very short time (I transferred 306 contacts in 4 minutes)
5. Pour yourself a shot of a truly great tequila (such as Don Julio Blanco) to celebrate your success!
