BB Bold 9700 :: How To Change UMA Vendor ID Error?

Sorry if the answer to this is elsewhere. I finally found out the reason why my UMA does not work.As I got the handset from a third party (Carphone Warehouse) - the Vendor ID is 301. It needs to be 142 (Orange) for Oranges UMA to work.I have no reception at my house, which is the whole reason I bought a blackberry.Does anyone know if I can change the Vendor ID of my handset to 142 so that the UMA will function? Or, do I have to replace the handset with an Orange branded one?
I think most of ppl here konws than t mobile`s 9700 using different 3g frequency, it wont work with fido`s 3g network, I`m think using software to change my 9700`s vendor ID to rogers, is this gonna changes 9700`s 3g frequency? any one done this before?
I just got another Bold the other day. The first thing that I did was go to BlackBerry - Update your Device Software and downloaded the 4.6.0.185 OS, but I did not delete the vendor from the 4.1.etc.What happens when you install the new OS, but don't delete the old vendor?P.S. Can someone also tell me how to look at my memory on my Bold again? I forgot where it's located at.
My friend wants to upgrade his phone from 9000 to bold 9700. With his current 9000 hes got a lot of BBM contacts so he is asking if he upgrade his phone his PIN will also be change?
The contacts in outlook have only my new contact info (1 contact) and the desktop and wireless software want to synchronize with this folder. The sync works between the two devises however it does not recognize the loads of contacts that are on my blackberry devise. I have tried all of the options on the advanced sync option to try toget outlook to download the contact from the Blackberry 9700. How do I get these two to synchronize?
I've tried signing into Facebook via my new 9700 and am getting the following error message:Error encountered during XML parse: End tag does not match start tag 'head'.Has anybody else had this message? How do I get around it so I can access my Facebook account?
I downloaded a leaked OTA link for the new Twitter app and after a reboot I get this error message after halfway through booting up - "JUM error 545".I have mac and blackberry desktop manage, but can't see to get it hooked up because it just keeps reading that error message and won't sync with the mac.

I update my bold 9700 with the OS6 (official) and since than i can't change the theme's.I can't see any theme's on my phone.......and i follow the standard steps. is this a wellnow problem?I download the official theme from bb app world ( spring theme roots of spring) and these are normaly working for OS6.
I had a curve 8310 on o2 and moved to a bold 9700 still on o2.When i moved i used the desktop manager and did the device switch over, all went well including bbm etc.However whenever i tried to send an email i recieved the error message 'transaction error failure at service' - I tried to log into my bis account online to update my pin but i couldnt log on! i havent changed the password or username since my old blackberry so i cant log on to change it online. on my blackberry when i try to log on to email settings it says the username field is blank!
i called o2 they put me through to geek squad and wanted to charge me to help!!! I havent had the phone 2 weeks yet.Now i think that i need to call o2 again and ask them something like releasing my old pin maybe from my bis account or resetting the bis account,any ideas what i should do or the type of questions i need to ask o2 if i have to ring them again.

Just picked up a Bold 9700 today. So far, I've been impressed with the phone itself. One thing I'm wondering though is can the application icons on the bottom of the main (wallpaper) screen be changed for other applications? This is the default theme that came with the phone, btw. I've seen screen shots of this theme with different application icons. I set up 2 emails on my phone and now my phone has the Messages icon, 2 email icons, SMS/MMS icon, Contacts icon, and Calendar icon. I'd like to be able to switch these around if possible. For instance, I only want to see the "overall" Messages icon, and replace the 2 email icons.
How can I change the icons on my home screen? Ive got 3 mail icons which I dont need. Is there a way to place links to apps on the home screen? Also, is there a way to autohide the icons so as to fully display the wallpaper?
How do u change the color of the indicator lights for alert messages. Say customized for a specific mail. The default customization only allows on or off for the led but doesn't allow color selection.
I was wonderin if anyone knew how to change icons on a standard theme such as (precision zen)for example I am after a gmail icon, hotmail icon and a firefox.
I'd like to have a password certain times and not others. I hate having to put it in everytime but I want to set a password with my lock key so I choose when it's on and when it's off. Is their anyway to do this on a 9700. Thanks for the help
Would you need to change the data center ph# in options, sms when you travel in order for your sms to work? here's the situation. lets imagine i take my 9700 over to europe and pop in a lets say local vodafone prepaid sim. would i have to change that # for sms to work?
I have a question. In my address book for my contacts it says synchronize using: email@email.com That email address has been hacked. How do I change it? I would guess this would also get rid of the multiple address book contacts for each person also.
Dear Blackberry users: How do I change the password for my email account? It seems I am not prompted to enter a password when I want to check email on my device. I have a Bold 9700.
I entered the password three times wrong , then the blackberry asked me to enter "Blackberry" to continue , and it refuses to change the typing language - my blackberry is arabic ! and i think the problem is in the arabic bold 9700 blackberry devices
I just started using a bold 9700. My only problem is, after receiving baout 10 test messages, i get a popup saying my sim card is nearly full! I dont want my phone to save messages to my sim, but rather my device. Ive done a lot of research and every answer refers me to going to text messaging options and unselecting "e Leave Messages On SIM Card" check box. The problem there is, I dont have that option
I can't get the emails to my phone after change the new version for Bold 9700.I have on computer also backup file and don't know how to bring the data to the phone.
