Screen won't go to anything else, says Platform 4.0.0.247 at top of screen. I can go into any of the applications but cant get back to my home screen or anything else. Will only connect to desktop manager sporadically.
View 5 Repliesmy bb contact list just disappeared without no warning. my friends called me to say i have a new pic profile (some african looking dude with a profile message saying "atlas the great") on there phones. they gave me the pin for that profile but it was also diff. from the pin on my phone. i restored from my backup but the same pic and pin appeared on there phones again. after i re-invited everybody, my original profile pic appeared. i'm worried that this might happen again so i hope somebody can shed some light on this for me. phone. my service provider can't help me, when i called.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Bold 9000 and this morning my BB Desktop manager told me that there is a new software update available and recommended (as always) it. I have started the process and as the device was about to restart it indicated software update failure and now my BB is stuck in boot mode and won't go further.What is the solution? I have recon that I will be loosing all my data on it regardless of what I am doing but right now the device won't go pass the booting screen.

I did all and phone stucked on installing applications or something like that first update android 40/40 and after that stucked i resterted went to recovery mode and try wipe then i got error samsung galaxy s6 failed to mount preload . Can this be sorted anyway plus knox is showing 0x1 .
View 10 Replies View RelatedMy bb bold 9000 is stuck at the verify security software ..... it is at 100% security tests passed and it just didnt disappear as normal. I can't do anything with my bb. Oh i can hold on the bb button to look which program is running. I can push the dial button but just cant dial... i cant scroll or type anything. I faced this problem out of no where when i reboot the bb last night. i left it like that whole night thinking that i might need times.
I tried battery pull and alt+right shift+del to reset... it still not work... the OS version is 5.0 already,

Any ideas on how to free up application memory? I have the usual google mobile suite, facebook, yelp, pandora, bolt applications. Can I move over some media card memory to application memory?
The following applicatoins do not show up on the desktop manager applications list, or in the applications list in the setup options on the phone itself. How can I remove the items from the phone if it is not giving the option to do so? Apps that I did not install to the phone, but are listed in my applications folder (actual folder, not in setup options) on the phone itself.

Apps that I personally installed on the phone and then uninstalled them from the phone itself. They still show on the phone. If I click on the app, it takes me to the install screen & gives me the options "I agree / I do not agree".

I bought a used Bold off of Craigslist, the phone's great with no issues whatsoever. Apparently the guy who had it, had it locked to a BES and now I cannot disable my password protection settings. I want to keep it secure but it locks after 5 minutes and is very aggrevating to keep unlocking it.

Currently I have a new bold 9000, I tried to copy my sim card contact to the address book on bold. It came out to be only 200+ contact were shown on my bold, the rest of the 600+ contact was not copy to it. Btw, my battery is fine, tried switching it with my friend's bold, and it works. .so no problem with the battery. .
View 4 Replies View RelatedBackground:Bought a bold 9000 the day it was released in Canada. Worked perfectly, maybe dropped it a few times but everything was working. Recently I upgraded to the 9700 and sent my brother my 9000.He had it for a week with Telus (originally on Rogers, and unlocked). He then dropped it off his bed onto a hardwood floor (not very high). Since then it would not turn on, no red LED or anything.I went over all the common steps to getting it working:
-Battery pull
-Take out Sim Card, and battery
-Try connecting to wall charger or pc with and without battery
-Basically everything listed in other posts with the same problem
So the above steps (search for details on them) work for some people, and not for others.So it was dead, he mailed it back to me to try and fix. I tried all the common solutions again with no luck.Then I decided to try something else.How I fixed it:You know when your computer is screwed up, and someone suggests to reset the bios settings? All computers have a little backup battery to keep your settings, and keep the clock running on your computer. So even when it is unplugged from the wall and you turn it back on the time is right.Well the 9000 has a similar battery, I am not 100% sure what it is used for but removing it completely solved my problem. I know it is used to keep the time when the main battery is removed - what else i'm not sure.. Mine seems to work fine with it removed. It does not reset any other data it seems, all contacts, email themes and everything are still intact.Once this battery was removed, I put the battery back in and everything works perfectly now! The only issue I have noticed is that the time does not advance once the battery is removed.. Since my brother always has his phone on, and it updates the time from the network there is no big problem with this. -Again, the time works perfectly as long as the main battery is in.Here are the steps, you don't even need to dissassemble the blackberry:
1 - Remove the black plastic sticker on the back
2 - using a small screwdriver (or better yet, soldering iron) remove the small circular battery from the PCB.
3 - put battery back in and pray

I suggest this only as a LAST resort on phones that are not under warranty anymore. I will not be blamed for anyone breaking their phone (more?).
No Red light Nothing. When I read another post on the fourm they indicated to take the battery out for 8 hours and replace it I did and boom he ed light appeared and I tried to quickly connect to desktop manager and download 4.6 and midway through the bold went dead again no red light nothing. After multiple attempts it came on again but for only 5 min and went out. I have critical data I need to recover. Any suggestions ?

I have no idea why this is happening all of a sudden! I keep my wifi off and keep it on 2g most of the time.

The first time, ATT told me that I needed a new phone. Didn't cost me anything but is a pain in the **bleep** since I have no other phone and I have to walk 4 miles to find a working payphone. Had to do w/o a phone for a week.I have tried removing and reinserting the battery, to no avail.It is now 712 EDT (GMT -5). I will check back later this evening.
a few days ago about my blackberry 9000 that would not turn on or be recognized no matter what i did when connected through usb to the pc, instead it flashed 4 red lights over and over.i drained the battery in my friends husbands bold 9000 till it was fully dead to test out a theory: i popped it in mine and put the blackberry on charge - no lights at all and no lights now (its been charging 10 hours in a wall plug)does a bricked (this is what the shop techie said when taking it to him for a fix and then refused to fix it for me cause its a paperweight) blackberry still charge up normally? mine isnt charging the battery so im wondering if the reason its undetectable by my pc is because the charging ports faulty or is it standard that a bricked blackberry no longer bothers to charge your battery because it wont turn on

Plus they've got all the parts available already, just need a little engineering to fit the trackpad and everything else. C'mon RIM. We know you can do it. I'm sure you'd sell millions of them.
